  1. Crown Point is better than last year. You saw it here first….Crown Point will win 6A this year! I’m not saying it will be easy but they are a machine this year. Defensively much improved from last year.

  3. The amount of D1 commits from Crown Point is null and void. There are plenty of D1 recruits in the Indy area. Warren Central alone on defense is loaded with them and they are Power 5 D1 recruits. You asked who from the North Bracket. How about Westfield. You know the team that it took Crown Point 2 OT’s to beat last year in Crown Point. They are better this year too and Crown Point is in a collision course with Westfield. that Ben Davis team that Crown Point lost by 28 points to was lucky to come away with the win over Brownsburg (Brownsburg lead the whole game until they had poor decisions in the 4th qtr) Ben Davis won 28-25. Then in Regionals Ben Davis was fortunate to squeak out the win over Cathedral 27-24 (intercepted a pass in the end zone as time expired). Then in Seni-State it took Ben Davis OT to beat Center Grove 37-34. That is 3 teams from the Indy are that played Ben Davis within 3 points. I don’t buy in to the travel excuse. If CP wanted to they would make it happen. Center Grove, Warren Central, Cathedral, Carmel, and Brownsburg have played teams in Cincinnati, Louisville, Detroit etc. well into the 2 hour to 2.5 hour travel. It’s a poor excuse. i will say right now Lawrence North, Brownsburg, and Westfield are the best 3 teams in the State and 6A. The next tier would have Cathedral, Crown Point, Center Grove. I can 100% without a doubt tell you Crown Point has not seen the speed Lawrence North brings to the table Cathedral, Brownsburg, and CEnter Grove are right behind LN with the speed. LN isn’t just 1 or 2 guys with speed. It is every WR, their RB and their DB’s all very fast. They are very good and they have shown that the last 2 weeks

  4. I heard that Rensselaer has given notice that they intend to leave the Hoosier Conference. Am I late to the party here, or is this ‘new’ news? If so, what are their plans?

  5. Just a couple observations here: 1. Did Crown Point just supplant Merrillville and their 45 D1 players? Asking for a friend… 2. I root like crazy for a North team to do well in 6A. I hope this is the year 3. Speed kills, CP better have 15 guys with speed or else it won’t matter what you do 4. MAC recruits are not Power 5 recruits. You better have top 10 talent D1 recruits with speed or else read #3 again and again until you get it

  6. Improvement only pertains to Crown Point got it. Couldn’t Westfield be better this year than last year? Guess that win at Center Grove doesn’t put a check on improvement. Or a close 17-13 loss at Brownsburg after losing 37-7 last year.

  7. Miami of Ohio and Ball State? Warren Central has a DE committed to LSU another DE committed to Louisville an OL committed to Iowa Ben Davis has a DL committed to Illinois a CB committed to Notre Dame (and BD has struggled this year) Fishers a WR committed to Stanford Zionsville WR to Wisconsin Lawrence North commits to Miami of Ohio and Indiana There are a slew of commits in Central Indiana to colleges. like I said it’s null and void

  8. I didn’t necessarily mean to target you only, it was that you posted last. I am sorry it was taken out on you. And I’m not saying they should necessarily be favored, just be given some thought or at least watched, looked into, something. And yes, seeing it to believe it is necessary. Otherwise it is all talk. But with the way many of the powerhouses have been this season, I think that the right team can do it. However, until it happens, it is all speculation. And I don’t know if it will be CP, or if it will happen by the north anytime soon, but it would be nice when there is talent teams are at least not afterthought.

  9. I can name a at least a half dozen teams within 25 miles of Monument Circle that can equal or better that offer list. Please stop with the fake disrespect.

  12. I wanna say that North Side jumped out to a 7-0 lead against LN. Going off memory here, I'm pretty sure, not positive. I think you'd find that Noblesville and Fishers are pretty strong when not faced with the constant grind of Central Indiana.

  13. MIDWEST CONFERENCE LOOK OUT!

  14. Keep underestimating them. I love it. They are more experienced and much better. I’m not 100% sure but I think every game has gone to a running clock. Physical football team with a talented QB. Westfield thought like you did last year! How’d that turn out for them??? Looking forward to the second season!

  15. I think I Eddie Mushed the Royals after the Carroll game. I was high on them after that game. The HCC is a headscratcher to me this year outside of Westfield and Brownsburg. No idea how the FC team I saw at Zionsivlle was able to beat Fishers and HSE. I have no issues with New Pal in the Top 10. They're like Crown Point to me. We know the schedule sucks. But, we know there is a lot of talent there and Elite level coaching. It's hard to bet against Kyle Ralph.

  16. Oh, zero doubt SOS matters but when presented with opportunities against the best teams on your schedule you have to show up and win some of those games. Its the reason this poll is usually reserved for 4A, 5A and 6A teams with the occasional 3A team sprinkled in.

  17. sad when parochial rivals decide not to play often/regularly

  18. I believe it was 2005-2006, Columbus East started taking knees with 2 minutes left in the 1st half against Jennings County.. it was 63-0 at that point and no running clock back then.

  19. I still wouldn’t count out Warren and here’s why: it’s not necessarily about their ability to beat LN because LN is going to have a tough road before a potential rematch. The question is: would Warren be able to beat Center Grove and that’s a good question. I don’t know but I think it’s a better shot than if they played LN again. Many times the team you think is going to go through gets beat and it opens things up greatly. Warren’s offense looked much much better last night with a different QB both passing and rushing. We shall see.

  20. Well, I really missed the Southridge North Posey big time. I might just sit back and observe from here on out. It's obvious I don't know poo lol.

  21. Good thing those freshman eventually turn into Juniors and Seniors. All the licks they take now should better prepare them for the future. I'm seeing that now with my alma mater albeit they've won 3 games. As someone who works in and lives in Rochester. I can tell you that's all people could talk about. If that MAC/Rochester game is at Rochester. I may take a visit over there, I mean I live 3 blocks from the school lol.

  22. Unfortunately, this happens far too frequently. Under NF rules, on a kick try (extra point) the ball is dead as soon as it is apparent that the kick has failed. Not so on a field goal attempt. But a field goal from that distance looks like a kick try, and muscle memory kicks in so you blow the whistle when the kick fails. That’s why the proper mechanic is for the crew members to all communicate with one another before the play that “it’s a field goal, the ball remains alive.” Not an excuse. Just an explanation.

  23. LN’s win extremely impressive but Center Grove just seems to lack some juice this year. Defense in the two games I’ve seen is very prone to giving up the big play and just can’t seem to get off the field when it matters and the QB has been a turnover machine the last few games. LN’s athletes are scary good and LN’s QB puts the ball where it needs to be more times than not. They are susceptible up the middle defensively and I thought Center Grove got away from that the second they went down a score. Nobody is beating LN in a shootout this year I wouldn’t think.

  25. Not sure about the new coach yet . I'm sure Cory knew the cupboard was going to be bare this year , perfect time to retire . We will know much more in the next couple seasons .
