Seriously Dude’s on the hook for a 77 million dollar buyout at A&M, now he’s on the hook for 50whatever million at LSU. This has been my main beef with the revolving doors at various IU coaches offices. At some point you need to look at the morons hiring these guys. As far as finding another AD/Coach, let me quote Hillary Clinton, you’d be amazed what you find when you drag a hundred dollar bill around the trailer park.

Is it a good idea for the governor of the state to be involved in these decisions? I may be off base here, but I'm hoping LSU falls to the lowest of the low in football. Teach these governors to stay in their lane?

If you're going to have a rolling two-year success factor, at least in football, the real solution is to simply reclassify every year. I know that creates more work, but that would make the most sense.

This is no dig towards you. In some aspects I would say Noblesville's previous coaches offensive philosophy was outdated and mundane to the parents not fully the competition faced (the results don't lie for sure). Noblesville was very competitive in 2023 except for 1 game against Westfield. When you look at the results they had many one score ball games. They were not getting the wins yet but were competitive, they did struggle if they got behind by more than 1 score because they couldn't control the clock. I will say Coach Sharpe is a stand up guy, and he was pretty much ran off by the parents. It has been a rough start for Coach Herbert and things certainly can change, but right now it looks like a careful what you wish for. I get it in this day and age many want the flashy offense, but ball control was working for the Millers. This qualifies them as the #1 seed in Region 4 when playoffs begin next week. Pairing won't be determined until after tonight's Region 4 games are completed. Clay County goes into the playoffs with an 9-1 record. Their only loss was the first game of the season to 10-0 Kentucky 3A #4 Glasgow.

What good coach in there right mind would want this job? President is gone. AD is gone. Head coach was just fired. LSU will be a train wreck before they are a good football team in my opinion. Mike Elko and Lane Kiffin would be out of their mind to leave what they have now for LSU, Penn State, or Florida.

From my experience, any coach who doesn't go 4-wide and run spread is despised by parents because they're "hurting my kid's college opportunities" ... unless he wins. And if he doesn't win (even if he gets his team to play above its level), those parents who want an NFL-style or air-raid offense will get the ear of administration.
