  2. Andrean's better this year though. The Jets will fight to the end, I just don't think it will be enough. Never count a program like that out though.

  4. Specifically to the Finebaum part, the SEC's annual November FCS weekend prior to rivalry week is an embarassment. He has no leg to stand upon.

  5. I just noticed that Sagarin has Penn State at #16 despite being 3-6. Sagarin has the top three teams in the country from the Big Ten. CFP has Notre Dame as the highest ranked two loss team and Iowa as the highest ranked three loss team. SEC country is having a mental breakdown right now. Sagarin has Notre Dame at #6, Miami at #10. Sorry ACC fans, it's about how you're playing NOW, not three months ago. Pittsburgh comes in at #23. The ACC just.............well, they suck. If Sagarin is correct, and they probably are, then two of the top six teams in the county are from Indiana. That's gotta piss some people off. Ohio State right next door. The best football in the country being played right in our own backyard.

  7. Why are you all slaves to the "Star Ranking System" still? It is a few jabroni's who claim they know what is going on watching some game tape, some combine works, some all star 7 on 7 teams and then they wait to see what schools offer earliest then give them the ole "insert subjective number" STAR Cam Ward....#1 Pick NFL draft was 0 STAR HS kid. List is bountiful..... Who ranks the rankers? It is impossible to have a legit ranking system to watch all these high school athletes and determine their "STAR" ranking.....

  8. The goal of the sport is championships, no? Notre Dame doesn’t win conference championships. For years, they didn’t win meaningful bowl games. Trophy case pretty dusty in South Bend. You measure relevance by fandom and ratings, I measure it by meaningful wins in the iPhone era. Sorry, but if your most recent championship came before the invention of the internet, I can’t consider you relevant.

  10. No idea where you've been. But if ND is in town, he's ALWAYS there to support his son. Had you watched the game on Saturday (Navy) you would've seen him in a black hoodie in the end zone, cheering him along.

Winner: Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills quarterback) Runner-up: Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens quarterback) Voting breakdown: Josh Allen: 383 points (27 first-place votes) Lamar Jackson: 362 points (23 first-place votes) Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles running back): 120 points Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals quarterback): 82 points Jared Goff (Detroit Lions quarterback) Barkley had 2000 yards and 13 touchdowns last year and that was only good enough for 3rd place.......

  17. Honestly, if Taylor keeps this up and DOESN'T win MVP they may as well just rename the award... it would be a slap in the face to anyone who actually pays half a millimeter of attention to football... The Colts continue to be an unbelievably pleasant surprise. Honestly, I thought the ceiling for this team was about 10-7, now it looks like they will be more in the neighborhood of 12-5, maybe 13-4...

  19. Is it just me or are some of the programs jumping the gun in firing guys like Franklin and Kelly? Seems to me like everyone has their panties in a wad now wanting the next Curt Cignetti. Good luck finding that diamond in the rough. Good luck finding that mid major guy who can make noise at the Power 4 level. Good luck to the successful offensive or defensive coordinator at making the jump to head coach. It's a crapshoot. Many of done it and failed. No different than playing a slot machine. Penn State, LSU, and Florida are just as well off going after Kyle Ralph as they are anyone else in this massive crap shoot. Tom Allen? Lmao. Nice guy, but..................

  21. True, those D1 lineman are gamechangers in lower classes. Pioneer had one that played both sides and kicked a few years back while having two of the fastest guys in the state. Lineman got hurt against Luers, the knights ended up coming back and winning the game to go on to LOS.

  22. Southmont has a large front line in their own right. But that’s where the comparison ends.

  23. Now Mr. Kelly has filed a lawsuit over LSU's contract buyout: https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/brian-kelly-lsu-tigers-coach-contract-buyout-settlement/ This is just LSU trying to get off cheap, something probably any other D1 school would also try with a buyout this large.

  27. Coach, I think the Vikes, Pack (one), Browns, Steelers, and 49ers are reasonable expectations to take home dubs.

  28. A little history. The horse collar foul came into being in the NFL in 2005. The impetus for the rule came in 2004 when Cowboys’ safety Roy Williams used the technique to tackle Terrell Owens, breaking his leg in the process. Williams was rather notorious for the move.

  29. Just saying if you call Kennesaw State a cupcake with their current FPI, then you must call NIU a cupcake last year. That would mean ND lost to a cupcake in 2024.

  30. lol some of us tried to tell everyone 🤷‍♂️ i think DC coming out and knocking off BB would be awesome, though honestly if they could just make a game out of it then they should be happy MORAL VICTORY TEMP YOU'LL ONLY SEE IT ONCE HERE fishers v brownsburg in theory should be closer but at this point I'm expecting Westfield to handle business

  32. Floyd Central I might be alone on this hill, but I'm gonna stick with my boys. They should come into this as an underdog, but you only have to be the better team "that night."

  34. You'd need four locker rooms. I don't think teams could reliably share locker rooms given that time crunch. Does Ohio have double headers?

  35. Of course we are. The team is loaded four and five star athletes at home in front of 109,000 fans. Playing with a renewed energy for their interim coach. That was a hell of a football team Indiana played on Saturday.

  41. Unless HH spoils the show for Roncalli, I’m giving odds that the State Championship game will feature the two teams that opened the season against one another: Dwenger v Roncalli.

  42. I thought BK was a guy who would thrive in the NIL/rev share world, but maybe it’s more important than ever to have a coach that will get guys to run through a wall for him. Never got the sense that he loved the game as much as he loved what it afforded him. He’s the anti-Harbaugh. He’s 64 now. I thought I heard he’s negotiating with LSU on the buyout, which makes me wonder if he wants to play golf and will accept a lesser guaranteed amount in exchange for LSU releasing him from his obligation to get another job. I think he’d do well at any Big Ten school that has expectations between an 8-4 floor and 10-2 ceiling. MSU feels like a sure-thing BK project, but, like I said above, I’m not sure his heart is in it. If he did coach there they’d have to hold his feet to the fire a little bit on recruiting otherwise he’s gonna be on the golf course or at Diamond Lake.

  43. Anyone seen the ND coach at a game this year? He has a kid wearing black and gold doesn't he? Would think a regional tilt would bring him out...for his son..

  44. Michiana Sports reports Adam Handley has been fired as Head Football Coach at Plymouth. Surprising as Plymouth ended their season almost upsetting #2 Mishawka loosing 21-17 in sectional.
