  1. AND ITS THE SAME GROUP EVERYTIME. Color me SHOCKED Maybe its time to see if @DK_Barons can figure out ways to restrict users to only certain portions of the website??? Hmmmmmmm This concept is NOT that hard to follow folks. We are getting dangerously close on putting about 5 accounts on MOD PREVIEW only...... which is sad to say about adults

  2. Every topic turns into a Covid debate......NOT this one!! Lets talk about what you are looking forward to most when your team plays in two weeks on Friday night??

  3. I look forward to seeing if my son has progressed from last year. He's lost about 30 lbs from his playing weight last year. He's gone from 6'4/325 as an 8th grader to 6'6/265 this year as a Sophomore. I hope to see improvement in his speed and athleticism. He has lost the weight all on his own through diet, conditioning and lifting.

  4. Ok....another one bites the dust. Having a topic or two regarding what is happening with schools opening and sports beginning is ok. The personal attacks are broing. Venturing off into the politics is for the OOB forum, not the football page. We are 10 days from scrimmages.

  6. What about teacher/coaches posting here during school hours all day long... is that being a good steward of our tax $ ?

  7. My oldest son possibly getting back into playing football after a two-year hiatus just coaching football and playing soccer. He said tonight, since he didn't make the high school soccer squad, that the soccer coach suggested that he check out football and he was interested in maybe getting back in to playing.

  10. They could be a lay coach. It could be on passing periods, lunches, or preps. They do get their own time to do things also.

  11. Speaking of breaking the bank here: Donations/Boosters are still open: https://gridirondigest.net/clients/donations/. Break out the 20 dollar bill and add 2 5s' or 1 10 or 10 1's. It all pays the bills the same

  12. Jesus that's one of his relatives (in coat)... He's not being dragged. I really can't wait till he kicks trump's ass in the debates and in the election.

  14. That's not the whole country. It's a state inside the country that is shutting down...was Melbourne the home team or was adelaide?

  15. UConn (FBS independent) not able to schedule any opponents and decides to cancel. They’re not Notre Dame. In one of the 1,000 threads on here, wasn’t there a discussion about difficulty of scheduling for independents? Speaking of Notre Dame. Anyone notice how Jack Swarbrick changed his tune about a delay as soon as ND was able to field a full ACC schedule this fall?

  16. Who cares....Not all coaches are teachers nor administrators. Do you want the $1.48 you might contribute to that particular teachers/coaches yearly salary back? Don't be hypocritical people answer texts, emails and social media content when they are on the clock in every profession. This isn't 1990 when you had to walk to the pay phone in the schools lobby to call home, lol.

  17. OOB Question....your response has absolutely nothing to do with my post. I was showing Statguy where he could have posted the additional closings, delays, or other disruptions to programs instead of starting a new topic each time.

  18. I merged all the topics of each individual school into one location.

  19. the allowance of Student Athletes to participate in Distance/E/or Virtual learning and participate in ECA for that school has been left completely up to each individual school corporation to decide what they want to provide for their school community. Some agree with that stance Some would contend if they are concerned about being in a building then they shouldn't be in a sport Some think the sport being outside negates that Again, which IMO has been a constant theme in our Pandemic times since March, there is not an one size fits all model/policy on how each individual family chooses to react to options provided throughout these times. Each school communities are choosing what they are most comfortable with with the guidance so far from the Gov Office and now local Health departments. That threshold clearly is different at different parts of the state.

  20. Is it your intention to start a new topic for each program that gets shut down? Has positive tests? Or just temporarily suspends sports? Because there are over 300 schools in the State. And there may be a day where we see a significant number do one of those things. I am sure most people here would prefer to not see the first page full. There is a topic open where these could have been added. How about just posting there?

  22. I noticed you disappeared from the OOB when the administrators limited the number of down votes people can submit in a single day and abolished the reputation rating. That is your contribution to this forum. Submitting 30 down votes per day so the person you dislike reflects a negative reputation rating.

  24. Exactly. I had symptoms on a Sunday, took a test Monday, went back to work on Thursday after I got my negative result back. If you think you have enough to get a test, then act like you have it til proven differently.

  28. I am an optimistic person by nature, however, I have to be honest at this point I see no point in trying to have a season. If as little as a single positive test shuts down all sports (I saw where Ohio set the rule that all participants (players, coaches, officials) are to be tested within 72 hours of each game. Any positive test cancels the game and appears to result in quarantine of all participants), what is the point? Newsflash - there are going to be positive tests for the foreseeable future. Without a vaccine, COVID-19 will not be going anywhere. I just wish people could accept this and either decide to stop everything completely, or learn to live with it and continue on. The continuous starting - stopping - starting - stopping is absurd.

  32. There won’t be a game because the Hammond school board is selfish or smart. My background is in business so I don’t know which one it is. this was supposed to be the last installment of whiting clark, a series that whiting has dominated in recent years. Was looking forward to this but won’t happen now.
