'Bama may be in with 3 or 4 losses, or so it seems.

Three losses should be an automatic disqualifier.

It should be, let's put it that way.

Orrr...it better be; because one of them should have already been eliminated.

Indiana 20 - Michigan 15, final - Way closer than it should have been, but a win is a win. 10-0 for the first time ever. Bye week ahead and let’s get ready for Ohio State!!!

I'd argue that every fan base has gracious fans and annoying ones.

Sad that I want Michigan to lose because one Michigan guy is obnoxious on an Indiana lake.

Sad that I can't stand Xavier basketball because of the way one fan was acting at Butler Fieldhouse.

Sad that I root against Louisville because of one fans actions at Joyce Center........damn, almost called it Purcell. And not sad actually, I think the entire athletic department at Louisville is corrupt.

They have ... admitted on National Television( 60 Minutes) they are a Basketball factory. Are they the only one? .... by no means.... just one of the best.

Miami losing as well helps IU

They needed to lose to bring them back to earth.

I NEVER imagined there would be a time we would see this. Pretty cool.

Same Irish....all the years at the stadium as a youth and an adult, never thought I'd experience this.  Was at both the Washington and Michigan games...the place is electric.

Anyone read former Auburn head football coach and now Senator Tuberville's comments about IU going out and buying them a football team?

https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/indiana-went-out-and-bought-them-a-football-team-says-sen-tommy-tuberville/

Guess with NIL, there is truth to that...but isn't his beloved SEC doing the same?  Heck, couldn't we argue some of the SEC schools have been doing this for a long time.

IU hired a coach away from a school in which a number of players followed.  Tuberville is whining because NIL was offered to players from such CFB "bluebloods" as James Madison, Wake Forest, Kent State, etc??

There may be a playoff...but the "establishment" is the same....and they are not eager to share a piece of the pie with a newcomer....to the point, a US senator, evidently lacking any higher priorities, need to get involved in the discussion?

Definitely some people feel threatened........

Yep, the mainstream sports media is in full on whine mode concerning IU.  Like this comment by an ESPN "analyst" err  I mean OSU alum/shill:

https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2024/11/19/joey-galloway-says-iu-fotoball-should-bench-kurtis-rourke-vs-ohio-state-avoid-injury-cfp-rankings/76437392007/

Quote

...

On Saturday, IU has a chance at No. 2 Ohio State to show the nation they belong regardless of what's said on national TV.

But Galloway, the former Ohio State star, suggested the Hoosiers — who he thinks are in the CFP regardless of Saturday's outcome — should punt on a chance to beat the Buckeyes and earn a trip to the Big Ten championship game. Yes, you read that correctly.

"Honestly, if we believe in what our metrics are saying, if I’m Indiana, I don’t know if I’m playing (Kurtis) Rourke against Ohio State," Galloway said. "We seen what happened to Florida State last year with Jordan Travis. What can keep Indiana out of this? Get your quarterback hurt. We seen what happened to Florida State last year.”

Travis broke his leg late in FSU's season a year ago, and the CFP committee didn't give the Seminoles the benefit of the doubt (though it was a four-team playoff and not this year's 12-team field).

Galloway then doubled down later in the show.

"If I am Indiana, I am protecting my quarterback," he said.

To which Greg McElroy responded, "You can't do that. That's a culture killer."

"If you're Indiana, say what you want, I'm protecting my quarterback," Galloway reiterated.

"You can't be serious," Rece Davis responds.

OK, so IU has lost 29 straight to the Buckeyes, but the arrogance to suggest IU should just lay down and give up a chance to beat Ohio State and a chance at a Big Ten title is just... well, it's just stupid.

I'm not a gambling man, but I believe I would take IU and the 13 points.

And as far as Tuberville and other SEC loyalists, they seem to never look in the mirror.

Agreed.  It's ok when somebody like "Coach Prime" at Colorado "buys himself a team" over the past couple of seasons but bad when IU does it.
