I would contend there are two in State programs that do......one on the transactional side and one on the transformational side. Hoping some of the football success puts some pressure on the bball program to step up. Who woulda thunk that phrase would EVER be a thing.😆

This was one of my points that maybe I didn't come across well enough earlier @temptation

Do not down play JMU success as Coach Cig stated in this clip, JMU players brought their Championship Culture with them to help change IU,  LEVELS you have had success does not matter, the PROCESS to becoming a CHAMPION transcends all levels of College Sports.

Spot on coach....John Wooden led Indiana State to a 44-15 record over his time there.  He led ISU to 2 Indiana Intercollegiate titles and runner up to Louisville in the 1948 NAIB National Tournament.  We all know what he took with him and accomplished at UCLA.

Even more impressive, during his time at Indiana State, he taught, served as athletic director, coached baseball and earned his masters degree......

Indiana 49 - Nebraska 7 at the start of the 4th quarter. Do you believe now??!! If not, when??!! This team is the real deal. Nebraska is a top 10 defense in the country and IU is shredding it. Defense looks great as well

This team is much better than the one that started this season. The o line is much better. The biggest difference I see though is they have cut down significantly on missed tackles, especially open field tackles. It's great to see a big drop in penalties as well.

Indiana has gotten better yes but with all the new players it had to take sometime.

Indiana is the best team in the state and cig is the best coach...in the state. i said what I said

I’d expand that to the country. IU is not the most talented team but I’d be hard-pressed to find a team that is going to be better prepared heading into Saturday than the Hoosiers.

There needs to be a blank check on Cignetti’s desk Monday morning.

So Wooden didn’t discover the the real secret of success until he met Sam Gilbert?

No one will discuss this. John Wooden would have been banished to Hades had the ncaa had a compliance team in the 60’s.

If you aren’t fond of the name I chose, pick another!  Just one of many examples that can be used to support Coach’s comments. Tons of examples of great coaches that develop their craft while winning first at lower divisions or levels of college sports.

Rourke out least a week due to thumb injury. I’ve heard it’s broken and timetable is 4-5 weeks.

oh no....what a bummer if a fracture....  ESPN had reported at least one game.

I get it, no worries. But honestly I cringe every time I listen to the virtues of Wooden.

Without Mr. Rourke IU's season is effectively over.  Good run Hoosiers, looks like you will mostly likely limp into a 2nd rate bowl game.

Tayven good enough to beat everybody remaining on the schedule minus Ohio St and I’m not sure IU beats Ohio State WITH Rourke. 11-1 gets IU into the playoff which starts mid-December. Plenty of time for Rourke to heal.

As far as the eye test goes, having seen plenty of both teams, IU is better than Notre Dame.

IU has better starting QB's, that's for sure.  Jackson will not be a big drop off for the Hoosiers.

Muda!!  Turn that bus around!  No need to head to NegativeTown!!  You gotta believe man!!

Perhaps some good news about his return.....

On a beautiful October Saturday morning, ESPN's Game Day is in Bloomington to highlight the Hoosiers rise.  I never thought I'd see those folks at IU's Memorial Stadium, The Rock.
