HH only loss was to a 3Peat private school outta Louisville.

I saw this, this morning and thought about this thread.

HH absolutely beat the brakes off their Indiana opponents this year. Jett will be the front runner for next years Mr. Football. Yall thought because he wasn’t on the big recruiting boards like some of the FW opponents players were that it was gonna be a dog walk. It was too, for the Patriots. North 3a was not up to par with Sectional 32. I’d take Memorial and Gibson Southern to both beat Luers, heck maybe even Southridge in a close one.

Congrats to both schools and the players and staff for making it. But yall Luers fans are something else. Hopefully this humbled you a little and next time you’ll respect your opponent and their fan base. And don’t come in here saying HH fans are being poor winners when yall were talking ALL the smack before kickoff. Give it. Take it.

Please provide the exact quote where I talked smack.  Do not lump us into any one category.

LOL, all those teams were spectacular.

That comment "spectacular" was directed toward the 03 HH team.  All those teams were great and it would have been something if Chatard was not a factor.

The CAL game is one I'd like to have back.  I'm not saying we would necessarily win it, but I think we are more competitive in a rematch.   Cathedral and Chatard got nothing on these guys--they have dorms!  Indiana Catholics need to step it up!

But to your point, it was said long before the playoffs:

1. Sectional 32 is better than the ENTIRE north

2. Whoever wins 32 wins state.

I think the CAL team was out of reach for us this year. Hunter doesn't get hurt on the second drive and our line stays healthy, maybe we make it closer by a score or two, but I don't see how we could have beat them without something crazy happening.  Would really love to see 2023 Chatard vs 2024 CAL.  I'd give the edge to 2023 Chatard but not by much.  Who knows...

This is the exact conversation that I had with the buddy I went with to that week 2 game against CAL.  We both gave the edge to CAL though....

You've always been a respectful poster. Don't get reeled into this garbage.

Exaggerate much?

The only boarding schools in Kentucky are:

Oneida Baptist Institute

Lexington Catholic High School

Oakdale Christian Academy

Francis Parker School of Louisville

Red Bird Christian School

Mount Carmel School

Villa Madonna Academy

In HHP's defense the place did appear to have boarding houses.  I thought that's what the buildings were until I read your post and looked it up.

Having boarding houses wouldn't automatically make them IMG Academy. The most notable school in Indiana that is a boarding school and plays football is Culver Academies.

Ok, I'll take your word for it. You definitely know more about that kind of thing than I do.  I was just saying I think it was more of a misunderstanding than an exaggeration.

Yeah, I'll say misunderstanding, not exaggeration.  I was told that they had dorms, and when I was there it appeared that they indeed did.  What would the world do without fact checkers?

Unfortunately Howe Military Academy closed their barracks and shut down a few years ago.

SWI>NEI

I guess the bigger question is, why are you so obsessed with it? You're placing NEI on a pedistal it appears, calling them out as a benchmark. Everyone is vying for second best, and it's certainly not SWI...........not even close. NWI could make a case though.

the top of the top of north east indiana (fort wayne and nobody else) is better than south west indiana most years at least, though in all fairness that is more than likely dictated by bigger fort wayne schools being better and smaller SEI schools being better.

both are good

nwi is not #2 the other side of indianapolis is

Not sure I follow. I've got Indy and it's burbs as one region and far and away the best in the state. Southern Indiana isn't even on the radar unless were measuring teams pound for pound, then I think there could be a different argument. Regarding NEI vs NWI, it really comes down to this:

Do you trust Carroll, Snider, Homestead, East Noble, Leo, and Dwenger? Or do you roll with Crown Point, Penn, Merrillville, Valpo, Mishawaka, and Elkhart? It's pretty damn close.
