Nah. Actually what you said was Luers was worse than 2024 and Mississinewa was better than 2024 teams. Man, I keep telling you bet against Luers and Adams Central at your own peril

I'm not sure I'm wrong about that. The difference in the game Friday night was a 99 yard fumble return. That's a 14 point turnaround. Basically the final score.

Luers this year and last do look pretty equal. I think I'm basing my evaluation of them on their 9-0 loss to Snider, which may be unfair. Snider showed in their last two games that they're not exactly horrible.

Linton has nothing for BC this year.

I'm not sure what your definition of "has nothing for BC" is, but that's a strong statement!

Granted, Linton is a little banged up & they lack the depth of several past seasons, but they'll still have some darn good 2A players on the field.

Linton will be by far the best team BC has faced all season. The Miners on the other hand, have played at least two, maybe three teams better than BC.

This one will likely be within the margin of error.  Anyone expecting a walk in the park for BC is kidding themselves.

There any good spots in Linton to eat?

The Grill (old school diner), Sportsman's Bar & Grill (would be my pick), The Vault, and a new BBQ place I haven't tried yet are all downtown within a few blocks of the school.

I just try to get on an read with there not being a whole lot said on here. I expect a game like last year, close yet could turn bad with a couple of turnovers. Last years game will be remembered by the 2 pt conversion that should not have counted. With that being said, Linton fumbled into the endzone in the second half, and also got a touchdown called back right before half. It could have been Brownstown trying to take the lead in the 4th quarter instead of Linton. Either way, it was a heck of a ball game to watch. Hope everyone has safe travels tomorrow to and from the game. I think they shut the sprinklers off tonight, so it should be dry by game time 🤣

Mississinewa's team from last year beats the team from this year by a running clock. They had an absolute stud at middle backer who I believe went to Air Force to play D1 football as well as other studs they lost to graduation. Not the same team. Not even close. Can't speak about Luers.

I just think this is Reed's and the Braves year. Senior-laden with a team that has been through it...we've seen that song/dance many a times- especially in lower classes. Give me the Braves by 3 TD's....

I hope your take on this is about as accurate as your Mater Dei vs Gibson Southern Prediction. 🤣 That game had to be great to watch.

The only thing I will add is that Linton also has 12 Seniors, including 3 and 4 year starters. If Brownstown can keep their footing and continue to use their speed, it could be a long night. I just have a hard time counting out any Linton team.

I’ll take in the Southmont @Andrean game tonight. Have heard exactly zero on here about the Mounties. Anyone know anything about them?

Big Oline (though sounds like Andrean may be bigger), Stadler their RB, Chadd their wing, Tolliver their QB run the ball pretty well.  They don't throw it very well (or throw it very often).  They are going to line up and try to run it right at you with Stadler or Tolliver then go sweep/counter with Chadd.

Good point...I totally whiffed on the MD/GS game.

And trust me, I know all about how tough Linton is/can be. ESPECIALLY at the Roy....again - just a gut feeling about the Braves that this is their year.

BTW- Where the heck is MinerPride....never thought I'd see the day he abandoned the GID.

Or did he get the boot like DT??

He is still around and continues to call the streamed games for Rader Media each week. I think he is like the rest of us and just doesn't have as much time as he used to. I find it surprising that, in the world of social media explosion, these message boards really don't blow up anymore. Damn Facebook!

IAlso, my joke about the sprinklers turned into a downpour for a bit this AM. My wife woke me up between 3 and 5 and said, "It's pouring outside, God really must love him some Miner Football".  I couldn't even be mad about that 🤣

Once again, safe travels tonight! Hope to see a huge crowd!

Our scouts that have camped out over there all week have not reported any rain. But something about suspicious activity about your fire hydrants????

The Southmont @ Andrean game might give some insight into the role played by schedule strength.  According to Sagarin, Andrean’s schedule strength is ranked 81st, while Southmont’s is 241st. Andrean did not play a 2A school until the tournament. But I’m sure the bus ride is close to 3 hrs., and some would argue that’s a significant factor as well.

Andrean will win and it will be ugly. Nothing against Southmont, but they won the weakest 2A sectional in the North.
