They do not have a Sullivan waiting to play, big difference. That team this year was all Sullivan, it was smoke and mirrors after that2 points

My theory on deer hazards is the same as my theory about fog: Go as fast as possible. That way you spend less time on the road = less chance of mishaps. Makes sense, right?2 points

Mmmmmm...be careful. Center Grove was a 6A runner up losing to Carmel 20-17 in 2019. During the regular season, New Pal beat the Trojans 28-9. In 2018, Center Grove made it to the 6A semi-state losing to undefeated state champion Warren Central 27-20. Earlier in the regular season, New Pal beat Center Grove 31-9. CP would not running clock New Pal.2 points

Oh, the irony of this coming from someone who represents the state of Alabama in DC and used to coach at Auburn. You know, the same Auburn that very likely bought themselves a National Title if you believe the smoke surrounding them landing Cam Newton. Like you said, if anything, NIL has made life easier for the SEC. I remember heearing a story Ross Dellinger told on a podcast after he attended an Ole Miss NIL collective gathering last year. Multiple attendees were confused and asked if they were actually allowed to pay players now and didnd't have continue keeping it under the table.2 points

Agreed. It's ok when somebody like "Coach Prime" at Colorado "buys himself a team" over the past couple of seasons but bad when IU does it.2 points
-
I'm not a gambling man, but I believe I would take IU and the 13 points. And as far as Tuberville and other SEC loyalists, they seem to never look in the mirror.2 points

Yep, the mainstream sports media is in full on whine mode concerning IU. Like this comment by an ESPN "analyst" err I mean OSU alum/shill: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2024/11/19/joey-galloway-says-iu-fotoball-should-bench-kurtis-rourke-vs-ohio-state-avoid-injury-cfp-rankings/76437392007/2 points

I re-read it a couple of times. I still have the same conclusion. Again I will reiterate the style of offense isn't the issue. Center Grove Bantam and Center Grove IEFA have proven that the Wing T not unlike the Power T can be highly successful at the Youth, Middle School, and High School level. The system has to be bought into by the coaches and taught to the kids. I also reiterate that they both lend themselves easily to no matter what the skill type is for your players. It is proven there are clinics on it.2 points

Been to both places numerous times, I know they both have grass fields. We will see what happens, and for you as an official, everyone has speed in comparison⦠lol1 point
-
Ok, been on the sidelines watching Garrett up close and it is not Luers speed, and certainly not even close to the number of players with that speed. Look, I would be totally fine if Garrett figures out a way to beat Luers, but they sure havenāt done it in the past. Also, if the field is wet on Friday maybe it negates the speed factor1 point

All those D1 players at Merrillville against Bart ball. This is either going to be a blowout win for Merrillville or a close win by Warsaw. Athletes and speed vs. execution and ball control. Warsaw 28 - Merrillville 271 point

I find it very difficult to predict games involving Warsaw and Mishawaka. Sitting this one out.1 point

You picked CG in 2022 but hedged talking about them not being able to "take Carroll lightly" as if that is remotely possible by an Eric Moore coached team playing a game in November. In 2023, I joked about a 49 point blowout and said that was more likely than a close game and you came back and gave me 21.5. Its all above in writing. Death, taxes, and @BTF claiming all 6A teams north of Hamilton County are being slept on are the three guarantees every November.1 point

So HSE winning at Carroll 45-21 was not manhandling them, but CP winning at home over Carroll by 38-21 is manhandling them?1 point

StinkTown you're the original OG ... all these other wannabe clowns in here are making the EIAC look bad.1 point

No, 6A is a beast, sorry. That shouldn't take much to convince you, I mean, you do believe in transitive property. You know what I'm talking about. Could the Knights be much better now than they were the first couple of weeks? Sure. But damn, 6A is a different monster.1 point

Anyone read former Auburn head football coach and now Senator Tuberville's comments about IU going out and buying them a football team? https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/indiana-went-out-and-bought-them-a-football-team-says-sen-tommy-tuberville/ Guess with NIL, there is truth to that...but isn't his beloved SEC doing the same? Heck, couldn't we argue some of the SEC schools have been doing this for a long time. IU hired a coach away from a school in which a number of players followed. Tuberville is whining because NIL was offered to players from such CFB "bluebloods" as James Madison, Wake Forest, Kent State, etc?? There may be a playoff...but the "establishment" is the same....and they are not eager to share a piece of the pie with a newcomer....to the point, a US senator, evidently lacking any higher priorities, need to get involved in the discussion? Definitely some people feel threatened........1 point

That is a fact but when you lose seems to hold more weight than whom you lose to. The fact that Georgia was throttled by Ole Miss with a month left in the season gives them time to recover (a la Notre Dame). There is a possibility that the OSU/IU loser this weekend is out of the playoff. Losing early and then waiting on other teams to lose late so you can move up seems like the play. If Notre Dame lost to Northern Illinois in November, you bet your ass it'd be a disqualifying loss.1 point

He has said he wants to give the NFL a shot, and more power to him. But I have a feeling this young man is going to accomplish much, much bigger things in life than playing a few more years of football. Mark my words, he is really going places.1 point

What What is it with you EAIC guys and your rhyming? Is that just how you guys talk in that neck of the woods? I imagine going to your regular season conference games over there is like watching "Friday Night Lights, The Musical" š Not hating, I like it I guess, just a bit peculiar that's all. Keep at it though. Its always entertaining when we hit the EAIC rhyming clown posse troupe in the post season.1 point

New Pal is solid enough to win this game, but they do not want to take their foot off the pedal if they build any lead. Martinsville has shown in a couple games they can come back and score quickly. The Decatur Central game they were dead to rights at halftime and stormed back to win the game.1 point

The more I read the JH post it makes my brain hurt. Great high school programs have a great youth program where the coaches buy into vison and philosophy like CG. It sounds like the Noblesville youth coaches know what's best and would rather do that then help build the success.1 point
