  1. My one burning question: If we start fall sports season with no fans present, or at most only family, how will the soccer kids know the difference? 😀

  2. I’m not so sure you’re authorized to speak for the American people. Just wanted to make clear not to include me in that sentiment. Having said that, I agree with you. I hope you’re right and I’m wrong, too. But most of all, I hope whoever makes the call makes the right one.

  4. One of those meth heads from Prentice Addition behind the MS would be my guess. I can't get past the Dandelions, geez! I know the school system pays someone a pretty nice contract to spray the grounds. Methsketball?

  6. I see nothing wrong with the conversation of this type I do not see how talking about the incredible upside and talent of Curry and how it likens to previous player in Karlaftis is bad thing Folks make predictions all time. As mentioned, sites make money on this, CAMPS make huge money off teenagers Its an honest question of a user who wanted to started a conversation about the next big DE since GK3 and how it could translate down the road. DT purposely left off GK freshman accolades, why.... because he knew someone would jump and and talk about it, which then leads to more discussion. Nothing disparaging about this conversations. But there is a one truth around here: DT posts a thread, then folks will come on and yell at him without adding anything to the conversation, that is a fact, so if you have nothing to say about the topic other than yelling at DT then maybe just do not post in said topic. My take on it: GK got his rankings by dominating the summer camp circuit, not by playing in the Hoosier Conference, folks who think rankings are by what happens during the regular season or post season have their head in the sand. Its a SMALL part of it. Camp drills, combine testing numbers, gets you on the radar, then game film. I look for GK to make a better step against the run as a sophomore at PU. I think the added weight and experience will help in that regard. Curry has a lot of tools to be successful as well, time will tell how it all pans out.

  7. We took delivery of 1/2 a cow about 2 weeks prior to the shut-down way back in March, and will be picking up a hog tomorrow we have been waiting for. Feeling like Burger King - "We have the Meats".....

  9. I would be okay without threads dissecting and/or making predictions of greatness for a 16 y/o kid. Let him be a kid.

  10. And the no help comment doesn't make sense. Wouldn't that mean teams could put more focus on George? It's not like he has 2 or 3 NFL DL next to him that are taking up the focus of the O-Line. 2019 Purdue Roster: George Karlaftis, 6'4 265 2010 Purdue Roster: Ryan Kerrigan, 6'4 263 I like that comparison better than to a kid still playing HS football.

  11. Man I will never get trying to downplay one kid in an attempt to boost another.....smh

  12. I mean “Big George” was only a Freshman All American, 2nd team All Big Ten, and led the country in TFL’s by a freshman. Don’t see the need to harp on George for playing 3A football and being the best player on an undefeated state champion team. The MIC argument is completely irrelevant since George has already played a season of Big Ten football and has shown what he can do. Im sure Curry and any D1 bound DE hopes they can have as good of a freshman year as George did. We all know the MIC is the best football conference in Indiana doesn’t change the fact George had a stellar freshmen year. Maybe Curry will end up being better, but don’t try and downplay George because he played in 3A when he was one of the best defensive players on a Big Ten team as an 18 year old.

  14. Interesting that you should make that comparison. The Ro — the measure of ‘contagiousness’ — of primary pneumonic plague from Yersinia pestis, Bubonic Plague, was between 2.8 and 3.5. We are learning more and more every day about SARS-CoV-2, but right now estimates of its Ro are somewhere between 2 and 4. So, in terms of contagiousness, the diseases do appear comparable. But, that’s about as far as the comparison goes. The Plague is a bacterial illness, not viral. It’s spread is airborne, not via droplets. But most importantly, the mortality rate for Plague was well over 50%, because there were no antibiotics, no ventilators, and no ICUs. I wonder what the mortality rate for Plague would be today. The very recent un-analyzed results of spot antibody testing may suggest that many more people have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 than previously thought, which would bring the mortality rate quite low, under 1%. Although a lot of people think this shows the virus is not really a great risk, to me it says more. If the overall mortality rate is actually much lower than we thought, that means the mortality rate in the vulnerable population is even higher than we thought. Without restrictions, and in the absence of a vaccine or effective treatment protocol, this virus will eventually devastate the nursing home population.

  15. Thank God. Your hatred for Purdue has been well documented in asinine topics such as this. At least you can count on Muda for an upvote.

  16. If it needs to be shortened then so be it.. shortened is better than nothing. I don't want to see anymore kids go through what this years winter and spring kids did.

  17. I had mentioned this when discussing a shortened or no baseball season and going right into the tournament. This is an example of where the crazy all-in, random draw works. If we have to play a shortened regular season or no regular season, we can still hold the tournament as we've always done. Who knew the IHSAA was more prepared for a Pandemic than any other organization out there?

  18. Shift rather not having a season much better option. I've always thought it made more sense anyway

  19. Soo your saying that you would rather have a class of seniors NEVER get the chance to play rather than have one year of shortened off-season. Also we are not getting much of an off season this year...

  20. Not a meme, but what the heck is going on in Seymour @Impartial_Observer? "Sometimes you just don't ask questions 🤔 This modern art masterpiece 🎨 was spotted during a security check at Seymour Middle School by Officer Schapson. What should we name it??"

  21. I figured that out after I ran the jingle in my head a few times. LOL. Speaking of which, I have missed Arby's now that I think about it.....Yes, we always get livestock the from the same local guys and they use a local butcher house for that. Soooo looking forward to some fresh bacon this weekend......

  22. Purdue's defense LAST year was weak and full of youth. Injuries to Neal and Bailey put the nail in that coffin how is that not accurate statement when looking at 2019 season as a whole? Hence why DC got fired.

  24. This may have been posted previously but, as someone who thinks Norm McDonald is a comic genius, I couldn’t help but think of this song regarding bats (and coronavirus): Apologies, if this doesn’t quite post....just hoping, at best, the link is correct (Gonzo knows I ride the short bus as regards technology).

  26. Exactly. A lot of people don't realize that every single claimed Division 1 National Championship in Football, whether CFP era, BCS Bowl Era, or via AP and Coaches Poll, is a Mythical Title in the eyes of the NCAA.

  27. 70-75 percent of Bernie Supporters supported Clinton. Bernie and Biden are friends, Biden is generally more liked then what Clinton is. I bet you'll see an increase of a few percent. Its gonna be a very, very tight race.

  28. I disagree. The people that you are listening to won't, a lot of his hardcore base won't. I saw somewhere that 70-75 percent of Bernie Sanders supporters voted for Clinton in 2016. Those aren't his hardcore followers. I think that might actually increase this time to 75-80 percent. Biden and Bernie are actually friends, biden is generally more liked compared to Clinton. Im a bernie supporter and im voting Biden in November. Biden will do much better in Milwaukee, Detroit and Philadelphia then what Clinton did...and those are the 3 areas that hurt Clinton the most (lack of black vote)

  31. Lol. This thread has mentioned trump many times (its even in the header). You are allowed to call out Trump's opponents character. I have never said you can't but what I am sayin is..you are being a major hypocrite...because Trump's flaws are much worse then Bidens and you don't find any flaws with him (because if you did, you wouldn't bring up said flaws of Biden's). That's hypocrital and ignorant... That's what you don't get. Right now. I'm New Pal and you are South Newton in this debate. Im beating the tar off you.

  32. States he lost by 9+ points Washington, Vermont, Rhode Island, Oregon, New York, New Jersey, Mass, Maryland, Illinois, Hawaii, Delaware, Conn or California. Hes not winning any of those. Trump won these states by 9+ Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming. Hes not losing any of those States Trump won by 8.9 points or less He won by 9 pts or less.. Ohio, North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, Wisconsin, PA, Georgia and Arizona. I dont see him winning Michigan, Wisconsin or Pennsylvania again. First two just elected new dem governors. The 3rd just re elected its dem governor. If Miluwakee, Detroit and Philly vote in their usual numbers in 2016 trump isn't even President. States Trump lost by 8.9 points or less Minnesota, Maine, Nevada, Colorado, Virginia and New Mexico. Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado just elected dem governors. I don't see him flipping those. I could see Trump maybe winning Minnesota or Maine and that's maybe... I seriously don't see how you can say it won't even be close. Lol. Thats llaughable. Itll be as tight as last time and could easily go the other way.

  33. Again. I don't know why this is so hard for you to understand. You can't call people out for things when someone you support does that and even worse. That's being a major, major hypocrite and ignorant. Bernie was rolling in Iowa (with Pete) . Bernie did well in Nevada and did well in New Hampshire but he got killed in SC and was going to do worse on super Tuesday due to Biden's strengths in those states...and Bernie was showing he was beatable in those states. Amy and Pete knew that and why they dropped out after bad SC showings. Bernie has lost atleast 6 states in 2020 so far that he won in 2016. That shows you A. More people like Biden then they did Clinton. B Bernie didn't do much to increase his base. Also you completely don't understand the fact that President Obama wanted to remain neutral and would support whoever the dem nominee is. He didn't want his voice to influence one way or another. He wanted us to make that choice. President obama wanted Biden to win, he just wanted we the people to make up our minds on our own...not that hard to grasp. Yes. Germany, France, England, Canada, Mexico and other countries will finally have an American President they can rely on as others will. Biden was the VP.. Not the president. He had to go along with what Obama wanted. Thank you Gonzo. Trojandad can't grasp that or A lot of other things.

  34. It doesn't. You don't have to discuss it at all. You can just ignore any mention of Trump in the thread without telling other members what can and cannot be discussed. You know, same way you ignore any discussion about products your employer is involved in manufacturing. This isn't the meme thread, where each comment should be a meme. How many members adhere to that?
