It’s been at least five straight years of this. They get hyped up in the preseason about all the talent they have. The media and/or coaches rank them in the top 10 of their class. The fans buy into it. Then what happens? Aside from a good 8-3 season in 2022, absolutely nothing happens. No sectional titles since 1990. No conference titles since 2013. Maybe this is the year for them. If they really do have all these D1 players then that’s awesome. However, let’s see if they can get through sectional 19 first. Dwenger, East Noble, and Leo can make things tough.2 points

I agree with FT, this insane propping up for North Side is tired and old. That school has done crap to deserve being propped. I don’t care if they have 35 D1 players like Merrillville, until they do something in the playoffs, they are paper tigers.2 points

With all due respect, y’all have to stop propping up Fort Wayne North Side like they’re some sort of state title threat. You’re making me dislike them like a certain someone makes me dislike Merrillville. Once they win a state title then have at it. Until then, it’s all just talk that they never live up to.1 point

I can't comment on what Southport's upcoming season projection is since I don't know, but they haven't had a winning season since 2019, and there have been three 0-10 seasons mixed in with the losing seasons up to now. I'll leave it up to others to comment on the issues the Cardinals face trying to resurrect the program.1 point

Yeah, the ‘bone definitely can’t work at a large NLC school and it’s definitely not like any current large NLC school has run it successfully for years, now…1 point

Great turnout for 6th Annual Paul Loggan Memorial Golf outing: Winning team once again resides in region 4 with Coach Adam Berry and his squad from Pioneer taking home the win at -14 !! Congrats to all players, coaches, communities and IFCA for pulling off another great week.1 point

Sorry boys, it's been a busy summer. Hog farming ain't an easy job. Just ask @Donnie Baker. No predictions today, I'll wait til the actual season gets going. But from the sounds of it, there might be some interesting match-ups this season. But I do have to ask, @BillyBettis, you OK? You seem a little upset. Anyways, I heard there is a scrimmage tonight at North Putnam that features two of our beloved WRC teams, North Vermillion and Riverton Parke, along with North Putnam, Owen Valley and the mighty Blackhawks of Sheridan. Quite the assembly of teams. Should be a fun one to watch.1 point

https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2026/07/13/joe-smith-dies-obit-indiana-football-iu-basketball-broadcast-career-radio/90908433007/ Joe Smith, longtime Bloomington-area broadcaster, passed away on Monday. I only met Joe in person two times, but he was so very kind to me and to my student broadcasters. While he will be remembered, and rightly so, for his contributions to the Indiana Hoosiers basketball and football broadcasts, I'll also remember Joe for being a legendary broadcaster of high school sports. He will very much be missed by so many. Rest in Peace, Joe. Demographics0 points

Ahh, I get it. Anybody who dares to criticize the current government education hegemony and offers a primarily non-government solution is automatically labeled a "bigot". Kind of like anybody who criticizes the actions and policies of the Israeli government is labeled a anti-semite. The status quo must endure. At any cost.0 points
