Come on ! They beat Cathedral for petes sake.... Chatard by as many as they want !
Exactly…let’s be real here folks.

Whole thing seems pretty bush league tbh. Get the running clock on and get out of there.
-
Teams have played 3 times in state, Chatard winning all 3 matchups. Haven't played since 2002 3A title game. Kinda disappointed we schedule them in the year we have one of our worst teams this millennia. I fully expect Chatard to put the running clock on.

I'd like you to name a team currently in the top 25 that Lutheran (a roster of 48 kids according to MaxPreps) would beat.
I’d give them a legit shot against 21-25 other than Reitz.
Funny how you had them in your Top 25 last year and I was the one arguing against it then.

I don't believe in putting anyone but the top 25 in a list of the top 25 teams
putting a *cough* 1a err I mean non top 25 school in that list makes everyone look bad
Funny thing is both Sagarin and CalPreps have Lutheran well within the Top 25 all classes.
Seems like someone can’t cope with a 1A school being in the Top 25 in the state.

"I think this team should be on the top 25 list"
but questions if they are in the top 25this year's lists are much better than last year's no need to downgrade them
They put mid majors who dominate in the Top 25 of the AP polls in college. Same thing. Not hard to understand.

HM #42.
If you’re ranking all the way up that high you might as well post Top 50. I’d be interested in seeing that.

Think Indy Lutheran needs to be on here somewhere. Are they overall a Top 25 team? Maybe not, but I think the utter dominance they've shown deserves some recognition.

Plainfield or Harrison would be who I’d predict. Think the Bloomington schools are pretenders.

EC ain’t getting touched this year in 4A. Only victories teams will have against the Trojans are moral ones for not getting the running clock put on them.

I love the DAC. I played in the DAC. Crown Point needs to worry about winning Sectional 1 first. Then they will be playing teams much similiar to them (size on lines, good QB play, talent at skill positions, quality coaching staff) in Regionals. I would like to see Buzea make another un at a Title, but I don't think the DAC and their OOC scheduling will have them prepared for what they would see from Penn or Carroll in Regionals. And then throw in the Hamilton County schools in a potential Semi-State game. Not saying Crown Point can't do it, but it's going to be a big up hill climb in which they won't have the same advantages they have against their DAC counterparts.
Agree 100%. I’ve seen CP play Portage and LC this year and they pretty much just won because the other teams have less depth on the lines and bad offenses. Unless CP blows out Valpo next week, I think they’re a definite pretender in 6A North. It’s very realistic that they get to Regionals having played only one good team the entire year, and I don’t know how you can say that sort of scheduling prepares you for deep playoff runs. The DAC is down this year and there’s nothing you can do about that, but that’s why you have to bolster the OOC scheduling.

What specifically? That the MIC 6 were cowards and took the first train out of town because they were tired of getting their teeth kicked in? How is that political?
Speculating on the motivations of school boards seems pretty political to me.

Using that logic lets go back to leather helmets, or no helmets at all.
Exactly.
Might as well take the helmets off baseball players in the batter’s box, because if you’re scared of getting hit in the head with the ball, don’t play a sport where someone throws a ball at you, right?
Using logic and science here is pretty much useless it seems.
