They have the athletes and the coaches, but the small enrollment really impacts the linemen. You have to be big in the trenches to win 6A. So yeah, getting past Crown Point, Westfield, and now Carmel is a massive mountain to climb. Quote

One of the state's best coaches takes over at the highest enrollment school in the state. He can win as many state championships as he want's to. Does the first one come in year two, three, or four? He better make his feeder system a focus....he might find things are not the same as they were his first time around. 1 Quote

They were the last of HCC schools to bump up to 6A but Zionsville has been a growing area for quite some time. especially the Whitestown area that feeds into Zionsville (and borders Brownsburg). Most of the Whitestown area (including Whitestown proper) - going all the way down 267 to the Hendricks County line and Brownsburg - is in the Lebanon school district. Quote

I hope the Lebanon school board has already purchased a substantial amount of land in yet-undeveloped areas within the school district boundaries. They will need it. The current high school is pretty much land locked, with residential development all around it. 1 Quote

Yes the middle school construction commenced in spring 2024 and a new elementary school construction is under way as well as a transportation center. They also are renovating and expanding 2 current elementary schools that will commence by 2025. I would imagine something with the High School (new or expansion) will take place in the next few years to accommodate the growth. Lebanon and Zionsville are experiencing growth from Whitestown. I don't think there's much left to be developed in The Eagle Township portion of Whitestown unless the owners of the horse farms off of Hunt Club road start selling to developers. There are some wooded areas north of ZWest MS that probably can't be developed due to wetlands. The only new developments in the southern portion of Whitestown that I can think of would be going up around the Golf Club of Indiana and that's within Lebanon's district. The neighborhoods with entrances directly on Indianapolis Road are the only neighborhoods west of 65 that feed into Zionsville. The NW portion of Eagle Township that is within Zionsville limits is still getting developed and has one very large development planned. It'll be something similiar to the Village of West Clay in Carmel. I haven't seen any studies regarding expected future enrollment numbers, but I would agree that the recently developed areas in Whitestown will start pushing Zionsville's enrollment up at some point. I'm not surprised baskeball and football are struggling there. 1 Quote

Yep, most of the Hispanic community is apathetic about two out of the three "traditional" boy's high schools sports, those being basketball and football. They tend to embrace soccer, baseball, and wrestling. 1 Quote
