That play brings back memories. When I was a sophomore at St. Ed’s playing scout team QB, I drew that one up in the huddle, and we ran it for a TD against the varsity. After practice 2 senior defensive linemen stuffed me in a trash can … upside down.3 points

I see...MD is getting the Rodney Dangerfield/ Florida State treatment, eh? Not to worry. MD was perhaps fortunate to beat the Knights but I still think head to head matters. Always a good debate... Could be that Castle walking over the RHS Boys may say more about the Panthers than the Knights but that remains to be seen. The Tigers vs Panthers will one to watch.1 point

Interested to know what is bringing this on. The portal has very little regulation to it. Seems that it should not be allowed during the season1 point

Now that I think of it, I may have been a victim of hazing! Perhaps I’m entitled to some compensation. 🤣😂1 point

Interestingly enough, we finish with our last 2 games on natural grass - at Vincennes Lincoln and at Bosse Field against Castle. We haven't played back to back games on real grass since 2019 when we played at Castle and then at Boonville.1 point

Hey.. still think Curt Cignetti is a certified clown? I mean you aren't even posting on IU threads anymore, guess since you were completely wrong about that guy, have to find another team to go after.1 point

100%. My first ever baseball jersey as a child was the Reds #14. A gift from my Dad....still brings a smile to my face.1 point

I guess it really doesn't matter. I get tired of the clowns who keep bringing up that 4A is better than 5A. They're beating a dead horse. It was an interesting debate a couple of years ago, but it's time to move on. In the end, 5A's Top 32 obliterates 4A's Top 32. All 4A has going for them is their top six or seven. 5A is stronger in the 8-10 positions, which is why I give them the nod. I'm feeling like the old BTF at the moment, this could get ugly. In fact, I might just opt out before my language earns me -10,000,001 status.1 point

2020 was one our our worst seasons and one of 5 (I think) losing seasons in the history of the program.1 point

Penn will need to play it's best defensive game of the year and they must pull the reins off off Watson to let him run more . I can see not wanting to get Watson hurt , but you have to let the fastest guy on the field run .1 point

I didn't say they were better or worse than last year, i said in regards to most years they aren't particularly up or down now two years ago I argued that the entirety of 5a was down bad, and I was right. However as I am a fair individual you will find no post of mine from this season or last season calling 5a down.1 point

For sure. 5-0 for IU has been a pipe dream for so long it is easy to get a bit excited. How often have we went into every game but one a favorite? We avoid Penn State, USC, and Oregon, get a down Michigan team, a beatable Nebraska team, a beatable Michigan State team, Northwestern who we should beat by double digits, and lowly Purdue. Table is set, just gotta eat Tossup games are all at home1 point

Years ago that would have been true but now I have a Son and Daughter in Law who both teach and coach at Penn High so my respect level for Penn High is at an all time high. That said I sure had fun with some good natured ribbing after this years game.1 point

I heard on radio that Taylor's ankle sprain was "mild." I also think someone should be highly reprimanded for sending Richardson back in the game so soon, and then run a play that had him running as an option. That's just plain silly! As far as their availability, no news until Wednesday's practice, I would presume.1 point

Papa Jahari will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of those who love him. He died doing what he loved the most, while passing on his legacy to his undersized bladdered, overstimulated son. To this day, I wear a Depends every time I film any football game. RIP Papa Jahari1 point

guys late to the party 5a isn't objectively strong or weak this year, pretty neutral in comparison to most years the 5a is weak statements were due a few years ago and you missed the deadline.1 point
