One of them is the same reason we are losing officials. You can relate on both ends...overbearing parents. They probably affect coaches even more than officials.3 points

Evansville Reitz has to be a top contender. The bowl is pretty sweet but not the best venue for opposing fans.3 points

Sounds like you might pick up a case of the Negra Modelo virus by the time that's over.2 points

As I have state for years, Reitz Bowl is hands down the best HS Football venue in the state of Indiana. I will finally get a chance to work there this fall.2 points

Don't know which one is best but we are pretty proud of Center Grove's Ray Skillman Stadium.2 points

I went to the Memorial/Chatard semi state in 2009 at Tech. I really liked that atmosphere, and it was a good crowd. Haven’t been back, but from the looks of the games I have seen streamed online since then, Tech looks really nice with the turf and updates. Reitz Bowl is nice. Just wish I could see in the dark! I want to see a new Elkhart Push Penn, I want to see New Prairie, St. Joe and Marian push them as well. I want Mishawaka to push the new NLC to improve. I want to see the Michiana area to get back to being a hotbed of football in all classes.1 point

My personal favorite is Brownsburg. No track makes the crowd feel like they are on the sidelines.1 point

I am really impressed with the giant hill outside the Reitz Bowl. If it ever snows in southern Indiana again, I'm heading that way.1 point

Sorry to hear. Good young coach, seemed really passionate about the program. Recurring theme in this game, we're losing good young coaches to burnout/time concerns. I will never fault a person for putting their family first, but our game is losing good young coaches because of some of the insane time commitments.1 point

If you check the amount of unsportsmanlike penalties that have declined since this staff has taken over. I believe it is instilling discipline into the program. along again with the number of kids that show up for current workouts from both schools. I believe that the gelling is going in the right direction.1 point

It's as good as many for opposing fans. It gets my vote as the best in the state. Love the Reitz Bowl!1 point

I would take the tight sidelines of hatchet Hallow any day to stay out of those New Deal visitor locker rooms at Inman Field! 🤣 They are the worst. I hated them in 2001 when I played and they have not been touched since. In all seriousness, you think that there is any chance they get some TLC with the move to he SIAC .... Not that all the City facilities are great.1 point

LN and LC very much belong in the MIC. They are competitive in all sports including football. Their record is not indicative of their competitiveness. There is no interest at this time from their administration in switching conferences.1 point

Every student's choice and decision is different. I'm sure nobody's going "darn, I really want to go to a large school and have an opportunity to practice every day on a Big Ten program and suit up every Saturday for a Big Ten school. I may not play a lot, but I want to give myself an opportunity at a world-class education at a school that has my major, but some noisy throw-crap-against-the-wall-and-see-what-bad-opinions-stick message board troll thinks I'm hurting Marian's program by doing so, so I had better not go to IU." Thinking about walk-ons, understand that in-state tuition at IU, PU & BSU is significantly less than in-state tuition at most smaller (private) colleges, EVEN WITH financial aid. I'm a big supporter of small-college football, but also an IU alum. Success at all is not mutually exclusive. IU bringing in a few more PWOs *does not* have that much of a ripple effect on the D2/D3/NAIA schools in-state, as some of those would likely walk on at FCS Indiana State (which has 60 scholarships, not 85 as a D1 school would) or Butler (non-scholarship, but more flexibile with financial aid than a D3). St. Francis & Marian are *often* in the NAIA title game. UIndy has made runs in the D2 tourney. Franklin was in the final eight of the NCAA tourney a decade or so ago and has made a couple of trips to the final 16.0 points

Troll? Really? So an individual who has contrary opinions to the status quo is automatically labeled by you as a "message board troll". Got it. I'm glad I don't live in your world of group-think.-1 points

Because head coaches who have success at catholic schools tend to gravitate to other catholic schools......once they've found out how hard it is to win at a public school.-3 points
