  1. I believe you're not allowed to play with less than 10 players. Suggesting that a team picked when they wanted to play according to the difficulty of the schedule is really low if you don't have anything to support your position. Suggesting that Attica will not play this week is just a cheap shot. With Fountain and Warren Counties over 10% positivity, any of these teams could be shut down at any time.

  3. 6A: With only 32 teams, and an overwhelming favorite in CG, it's hard to find a dark-horse contender out of the South part of the bracket. Carmel & LN are the only two teams that come to mind to challenge CG in the South. In the North, it's going to be fascinating to see what shakes out...Can Homestead come out of a brutal sectional and then beat Westfield in Regionals? Can Laf Jeff, with an awful schedule, pull a shocker against a loaded Merrillville squad and then defeat presumably Elkhart in Regionals? Loads of intrigue in 6A North for the first time in a while! 5A: Again, with only 32 teams, and overwhelming favorite in Cathedral, not much to say out of 5A South. In 5a North, Dwenger seems to be the favorite out of the North, but having to play North and Northrop for the second time may present some problems (hard to beat teams twice!) But does Valpo (only played 5 games) have a very fresh roster ready to do some damage? Zionsville plays a gauntlet of a schedule and has elite playmakers on the offensive side of the ball...They won a 6A sectional and battled with BD in Regionals last year. 4A: 4A South will be a doozy this year, with Mt. Vernon, Roncalli, Mooresville, East Central, and Evansville Central looking to represent the South at LOS. However, there's a few teams that could make a surprise run in Jasper, Evansville Memorial, and Silver Creek. I'm not familiar with Silver Creek, could they beat East Central in the first round? 4A North has favorites in Hobart and Lowell (same sectional), Leo, Northridge, and East Noble (same sectional), and Delta. Other those aforementioned teams, who can make a run to LOS out of the North? 3A: 3A North has the presumed favorite in Chatard, drawing a rematch with a successful Marian program in semi-state (undefeated and beat Penn). Can West Laf or Brebeuf stun Chatard in sectionals? 3A South looks to be just as competitive as 4A South this year....Sectional 29 has 6/8 teams with winning records with an undefeated Danville team as the favorite to come out of the sectional. Does Tri-West, Indian Creek, or Ritter play spoiler? Vincennes Lincoln is as battle-tested as any 3A school, playing in the SIAC. Lawrenceburg is sitting dangerous at 7-1 while Sectional 32 is absolutely stacked (6/8 w/a winning record and Heritage Hills who's been undermanned throughout the year). 1A and 2A: Not very familiar with these two classes at all.. Predictions: 6A: CG vs Westfield 5A: Cathedral vs Dwenger 4A: Roncalli vs Lowell 3A: Chatard vs Southridge 2A: Andrean vs Heritage Christian 1A: South Adams vs Covenant Christian My Darkhorses: 6A: Homestead, BD, and Laf. Jeff 5A: Zionsville and Whiteland 4A: Jasper and Northridge 3A: Ft. Wayne Concordia, Norwell, and Tri-West 2A: Ren. Central, Centerville, Tell City, and Fairfield. 1A: South Putnam and Southwood What do y'all think?

  5. Jeez that’s soft. A non racist meme that racists use for their own purposes is now off limits and racist, no matter that it’s just a picture of a sad frog. Even your link talks about how it isn’t usually used for bigoted purposes. There are plenty of reasons to be another with Muda, this is not one of them.

  9. Thanks @foxbat. I thought that others have faced this is their schools/teams. I too have had numerous quarantined students. I was looking for this from the CD for @DE to look at. I guess his school doesn't know about or follow the CDC guidelines. A long story short, quarantine means that you MAY have been exposed but you MAY also be healthy. The idea of the quarantine is so you don't spread the virus before you know you have it. Plus a negative test doesn't mean that you wouldn't have it at any point during the incubation period. So a negative test doesn't dismiss you from the quarantine. If we all followed the rules of the experts instead we wouldn't be facing the issues we are facing today.

  11. The difference I see from the Southridge game to the Linton game is that on offense Tell City had 4 guys that did not play vs. Linton. On defense I see 5 guys that did not play vs. Linton. When we read in the Evansville Courier "Tell City dressed only 22 players for the sectional opener after practicing with just 16 the past two days. Several were asked to play out of position, particularly on defense." And "The other body blow came on Wednesday when nearly 20 players were placed under quarantine due to another positive case." I don't think anyone is saying that Linton is not a good team or that they are not playing well right now. I think we just don't think a win over Tell City under those conditions is something that anyone should be getting to excited about.

  12. Best game of the year for the Irish. Pitt isn't great but the Irish were strong in all three phases and won easily. Maybe they just needed to get out of South Bend for a game.☺️

  16. Yep, it's tough when players are healthy but out due to contact tracing. I haven't seen Tell City or Linton, but I wouldn't be as confident that Linton would beat Tell City at full strength. They took Southridge to the wire and Southridge is likely one of the top 5-6 teams in SW Indiana and beat you guys by 4 scores.

  20. Unrealistically I would remove all mandates and let people do as they wish. This would result in a health care disaster this winter and most directly harm those that choose to downplay the severity of this pandemic or act like it doesn't exist. I am fortunate enough to avoid high risk behavior and would benefit from weeding out the stupid. Realistically I encourage targeted restrictions county by county based on hospital/health care stress. Restrictions means limitations on crowd size and mask mandates. As our understanding of COVID transmission improves I would adjust those restrictions accordingly, different rules for indoor vs outdoor etc... Most importantly I would keep politics out of that decision making. I would also encourage a massive information campaign to target misinformation on social media. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/2020/10/guide-to-overcoming-coronavirus-misinformation-infodemic/?utm_source=reddit.com#close

  26. Round 1 Set in Stone Andrean at Boone Grove (Valpo H.S.) Whiting at Hammond Noll Wheeler at North Newton Bowman at RCHS ROUND 2: Scenarios: Andrean and Whiting Wins: Andrean at Whiting round 2 Andrean and Noll wins: Noll at Andrean round 2 Boone Grove and Whiting Wins: Boone Grove at Whiting Boone Grove and Noll Wins: Boone Grove at Whiting Wheeler and RCHS Wins: RCHS at Wheeler NN and RCHS Wins: NN at RCHS Wheeler and Bowman Wins: Wheeler at Bowman NN and Bowman wins: NN at Bowman Sectional Finals: Scenarios: For Sake of answering your question and not going thru all the scenarios: Sectional Final HOST: Will be the team who has had the least amount of home games in round 1/2 combined: if both teams in the final have had same number of home and away games, the tie breaker goes to the team on the bottom of the bracket. For purpose of asking where would a potential RCHS Andrean game get to (NN and Wheeler are far improved than Wheeler last year, just see Lowell score and NN we were in a dogfight 1st half this year before gates broke in 3rd quarter) Andrean on Road round 1: If Whiting wins then Andrean on road again round 2, so 2 road games. RCHS host round 1 game: So doesn't matter where or who we play round 2, if we win, then we would have hosted a game , Andrean would not of, so they get the home game. Now if NOLL wins then Andrean would be host Noll and have 1 home game 1 road game. If Wheeler wins over NN, then RCHS would have 1 and 1 same as Andrean then we host Andrean. NOW: for fun: What happens if from now til Sectional Round 1 and a team has to shut down due to Covid.... Is that a No Contest? Is that a forfeit? Does the bracket stay the bracket with a no contest or with a forfeit? Haha, good luck figuring that one out!!! As you can suspect from my seat: Just need to take it 1 at a time and let the chips fall where they fall. But the best defense in Indiana right now is the Covid 19. If you make it through the entire tournament dodging and weaving that defense, then you will truly have earned your way, on top on the on field performance.

  27. Kentucky is on the verge of finishing multiple games under .500 while IU won the its most games last year since 1993 and appears on their way to winning at least 5 (if not more) games in a shortened season. Kentucky won a program best 10 wins two years ago but barely went .500 last year and is sinking fast this year.
