  1. Not a rule change, but potentially significant. This article, published today by the National Federation, reveals that “Sportsmanship” is the No. 1 Point of Emphasis in all sports this year. https://www.nfhs.org/articles/regarding-sportsmanship-it-s-time-for-wake-up-call-in-high-school-sports/ For us, this potentially translates into lower tolerance for trash talking, celebrations, taunting, and sideline violations. Can’t tell for sure, because we haven’t yet got specific instruction in how the POE is to be implemented. That probably won’t come until the clinics this June. Although, it’s possible someone might have that information a bit earlier. 😉

  2. Probably at the point to move this to @Muda69's forum??? My only comment regarding this and the other bill mentioned is that there is no coincidence that bills across multiple states are written using practically the exact same language, and included the exact same dates for deadlines. A few details and even the date in Indiana changed. But the fact is the driving force behind the for profit prison system, ALEC is also driving this as they have with every "reform" to education that has taken place in the last 15-20 years.

  3. If there was a Russian/Chinese equivalent to NATO would the U.S. be ok with say Mexico joining such an organization? How about Canada? Sometimes I think we Americans forget how fortunate we are due to our geography.

  4. QB is all currently rumor and speculation, so as of now, no comment on that (although it seems there is quite a bit of meat on the bone at a rumor going around currently), but O-line should be very solid. No real hits to it as most were also underclassmen (only one senior I believe last year). Two biggest things to watch this season with Reitz is the growth of the defense, and if a freshman will be starting at running back. Not saying it will happen, but the kid is an extremely dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. You will probably find out about a QB before I do.

  5. There were incidents involving punches thrown in his NBA career resulting in fines and game suspensions. At least 2 against the Pacers alone.

  7. Thanks Captain obvious...LOL. All you have to do is read through this thread...there are several scenarios where a kid will want to or be asked to lose weight. I mean, if you want that open varsity weight class right? You can certainly "participate" in wrestling and not lose weight.

  8. It really makes no sense for the GA to be involved in this right now. I believe that the bylaws placed in by the IHSAA are adequate. Between this and HB 1134 the GA has really been in the spotlight recently and how much of this legislation is from outside groups going over the schools because they are not getting what they want? This is a legitimate question because I know that HB 1134 was due to an outside group so maybe this bill is much the same thing.

  9. Many on the university’s board of regents wanted him terminated but Michigan’s AD stuck his neck out there and convinced them to reconsider. That being said, I believe anything closely resembling strike three means they are both packing their bags.

  10. And a missed xp away from NFL Hall of Famer Morten Andersen in 1977 semistate against Reitz of maybe moving on to the championship.

  11. Why do some football coaches still think that you have to lose weight to wrestle. As a wrestling coach and football coach, this is the one thing that drives me nuts about some football coaches. With the weight management plan that is involved with high school wrestling, the days of not eating and wearing plastics are over.

  12. Works both ways some kids need to lose the bad weight, have seen kids gain confidence from losing bad weight and became better football players because of it.

  19. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-hate-putin-americans-suffer What Mr. Carlson doesn't mention is that with U.S conflict (and military spending) in the Middle East now virtually over the Military-Industrial-Complex needs another boogeyman, and Mr. Putin & Russia are it.

  21. Putni just doesn't want NATO right next door. He's willing to scare the bejesus out of the people OF Ukraine and take a couple areas in the East back over just to back it up, and our President seems to be OK with that.

  22. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10537161/CDC-refusing-publish-data-collected-booster-effectiveness-aged-18-49.html CDC is refusing to publish data it has collected on booster effectiveness for 33 MILLION Americans aged 18-49 over fears it might show the vaccines as ineffective: FDA expert tells CDC to 'tell the truth' Two weeks ago the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published data about the effectiveness of boosters against COVID-19 The CDC failed to publish a tranche of their data, however - omitting the impact on those aged 18-49, who are least likely to benefit from boosters The CDC are also being criticized for failing to publish their information about child hospitalization rates and comorbidities A spokeswoman for the CDC said they were concerned that the data would be misinterpreted, pointing out that it was incomplete and not verified Critics said that it was always better to publish the information rather than withhold, and allow scientists to analyze and explain what they could Why wouldn't the CDC release the data? Perhaps the same reason the drug companies want the vaccine testing data confidential for 70 years....... https://www.c-span.org/video/?465845-1/universal-flu-vaccine&playEvent
