If they played IU right now, I'd put my money on the Hoosiers. I like what I'm seeing from Cigneti. X's and 0's beat Jimmies and Joes. Right? Insufficient data available... And now, NIU is $1.4 million richer! The Purdue-Notre Dame tilt should we a good one, but the spread is crazy! 1 Quote

Can we call a 'guaranteed win' a trap game? Or do only mid and low tier Power Five qualify as trap games? Either way, win out and they are in. But right now I don't have confidence in the offense to do that. Vegas had the Irish a 28 point favorite. The odds are really long to make the playoffs. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 I will wait to hear from @Bobref and @WolvesOnTheProwl on my transfer QB inquiry Purdue +28 at HOME?? Time to log into Vegas....... no idea where +28 came from....... Currently +12.5. doubt it was ever +28 just saying Quote

Even more so when one does this without looking at the individual face to face. That being said, athough I wouldn't equate a joking "WalMart Wolverine" reference as the same, you apparently do. In any case, please accept the apology and move on. This is rather boring and I am sure others don't care to have their time wasted. Quote

I’ve repeatedly asked that the topic at hand “Notre Dame’s embarrassing loss to NIU” take center stage and you refuse and then get pissed when I respond so you can point the finger at me. Quote

LOL...it was a joke about the WalMart Wolverine....a joke...nothing more. Not meant to be an insult and sorry you took it that way. The reason for the joke was your constant and passionate defense of UM in your responses to others who mentioned Michigan's performance last week. There is only one person acting pissed....and its not me. Memo to self...no more jokes about Wolverine fans....its simply not worth it. Quote

Coach Nowlin Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 back in elementary PE in 1988, when this tit for tat would go on, our PE teacher would make us hold hands on the bench until the feud was over...... Time to Hold hands 2 Quote
Komets2727 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 (edited) ND is the annually the most overrated college football team in the country . Top 10 recruiting classes and what do they have to show for it? Home loss to Northern Illinois? What a joke!!! Riley Leonard was suppose to be their savior?? A Duke QB??!! LOL!!! For you domers out there, your head coaches recently couldn’t coach PeeWee football. Overmatched doesn’t begin to describe it. Lose at home to Marshall, Check. Lose at home to Stanford, Check. Lose at home to Northern Illinois, Check. There are just no words for the ineptitude in South Bend Edited September 10, 2024 by Komets2727 1 Quote
PHJIrish Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 I'm a long time Irish fan, but I hope the Irish win, but don't cover, and Jaron Tibbs has 5+ receptions for a hundred or so! 1 Quote
WolvesOnTheProwl Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Rumor is Riley Leonard hurt his shoulder and is questionable for Purdue. Perhaps a chance to see that Angeli and or Carr can do. Quote

Right now indicates he full go at practice. I would think the backup is getting more snaps with the first team this week. Quote

Coach Nowlin Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Was gonna attend, but looking at my calendar, want to save some bullets in the 6 shooter marriage gun philosophy I adhere too. Worked out somewhat well for the most part Perhaps, I can convince @WolvesOnTheProwlto allow me to slum with him Quote

Sorry, but regardless of how well they are playing today, Marcus Freeman is on thin ice with me. Every year they have at least one pathetic effort. It’s his job to make sure that doesn’t happen. In 3 years he’s got losses to Northern Illinois, Louisville, Marshall, and a Stanford team that was a laughingstock in a laughingstock conference. None of those teams should EVER beat Notre Dame. It’s his responsibility to make sure that the effort is there, and he hasn’t done it consistently enough for me. Not by a long shot. 1 Quote
