Most of the non Power 5 conferences are shutting down not because of health concerns, people need to quit lying to themselves. They are shutting down because it would cost them more to run the season than they would make, better to have no profit than be in the red. They are using the health reason to make them look good.

What is it that has turned the American public so cynical? Nothing is taken at face value anymore. There is no “benefit of the doubt.” Anything unpleasant becomes the product of an ulterior motive or hidden agenda. Any less than desirable outcome is evidence of a sinister conspiracy. It must be downright uncomfortable living in some of your heads.

I'm looking for a news source confirming that, but if true, that is an interesting decision "for the health and safety" of the athletes.

I want football and a return to normalcy as much as anyone does. But I also know we are in a serious crisis right now, and we have to do all in our power to stop it. All of these cancellations and postponements (St. Louis Cardinals, MAC football) didn’t just come on a whim.

Please stop comparing the virus to the flu because it is not a valid comparison This stuff can be spread very quickly and people are not following the guidelines If the season does not happen or if no fans are allowed each person can look at themself and ask if I did my part to stop the spread.

My thoughts exactly. No two viruses/strains are alike due to mutations, etc.

As it is, you don’t. That’s how I know you want it to be cancelled. Anyone who legitimately wants a season is trying to find ways to have one, won’t even consider the thought of not having a season and would only post positive stories to try and get more positive energy. Whereas, you only post negative stories and argue for why we should t or can’t ha e a season.

Probably around 90 kids. Three 20 minute periods. Freshman vs JV, 1s vs 2s, 1s vs 2s again. Makes an environment where you can see who is playing up.

You belittled comparing the size of schools earlier as regards Chatard v. Cathedral (which in most years is twice as large as Chatard...despite recent declines in Cathedral student population....you guys need to switch some of that financial “need” dollars to regular students) yet you were happy to step out of 6A after you didn’t make the cut. The reality here is that Cathedral can reach out and talk DIRECTLY to every individual archdiocese student and parent by phone and tell them they can be a star and win a State Ring at Cathedral (or, not mentioned during that phone call, simply be gold helmet fodder....). Chatard can’t call anyone (about ANYTHING)....including their own Archdiocese kids. That said, it would be hard for me to imagine that the rest of the state could dislike Cathedral more (as in “hate”) if they recognized Cathedral’s full advantages...... OK...Cathedral is 15-5 v. Chatard the last 20 years. You were wrong (no surprise). I'm thinking Chatard’s 10 State Championships the last 20 years vs Cathedral’s lesser number might have addled you.

The HC has a near perfect slate for game ones this year. Chec it out.... 1) Jeff @ WL No doubt is the Marquee game. Or should it b called a track meet after last yr..... 2) Western @ Kokomo this could b a good one.... 3) Pioneer @ Cass Will the Kings hold their ground as the panthers look to avenge the waxing they recieved last time out.... 4) Tri West @ LCC Can the Knights hold serve at home this yr.... either way .. This is a great first game matchup for both teams ...as both r adept at exposing eachothers strenghts and weaknesses. Hope this series continues. 5) RC @ KV The Bombers seem to have their number of late... but u never really know in this one. 6) MC @ HH This is what the Dr ordered for HH... Go up against a very solid well coached team who will push em. My record is SPOTLESS when it comes to reporting serious information such as: Schools cancelling, games cancelling, coaching hires, coaching resignations et. al. So please go find where I have made a false claim on something as important as this topic. That is why our long standing standard set by Coach Tim Adams, was to verify and not engage in rumor. You are defending yourself countless times on here lately about not 'rooting' for schools to shut down this fall, and advocating for Spring, however, when you make such a hasty post and to be so completely wrong, that does not help you defend against the other users who have labeled you as the poster getting joy out of schools not playing. Just some advice, you can take it or leave it. just a 3rd party eyes with ZERO agenda on here.

They could be a lay coach. It could be on passing periods, lunches, or preps. They do get their own time to do things also.

That’s what I’ve always thought too. Some people seem to be actually cheering for the season to be cancelled under the guise of being concerned for the kids. They say, I REALLY want to have a season but man I just don’t see it, unless everyone wears a mask. But even then if one person gets sick...... What has never been offered by these people was a solution. They only promote and comment on scenarios to close down the season because that’s really what they want. The Proof being exactly what you just posted.
