People acting like EC is a bad team because they run the football between the tackles and wear the opponent down. They executed their plan, and Northwood defended it well for 1.5 quarters, a great showing, better than I thought they would do. But by halftime ec wore them down defensively

The disrespect to some of the teams in 2A, especially in the North, is quite laughable. Good news for Lutheran and AC, they can prove thed be able to walk through 2A the next two years.

Proud of the AC guys for not giving up. That game went from potentially being a blowout to a one score game because of the determination of those young men. Watching this 2A game, it is clear to me that 1A was quite a bit stronger than 2A this year. AC beat Bluffton 24-0, Luers beat them 15-7. Luers is dominating North Posey. I think Lutheran, AC, South Putnam and Providence would all have won 2A this year and I don't know if a super strong argument can be made otherwise. I can say with strong confidence that neither of these 2A teams would've given Lutheran a game at all.

Three p/p schools, whose total constituency make up probably around 10% of the football playing schools in the IHSAA, have just taken home 50% of the available state championship trophies. The p/p hegemony continues unabated, with the "success factor" doing little more than rearranging the deck chairs. This will continue as long as the IHSAA stubbornly sticks to a primarily enrollment based classification system, and not a system that truly measures the historical success, or lack thereof, of Indiana high school football programs.

EC is an excellent football team and they wore Northwood down late, you'd be hard pressed to find someone that didn't expect that exact outcome. Northwood defended well and they played above my expectations, of which I made clear by week two of the season, unfortunately they fell behind, and EC is not a team that you want to be behind against. notice what happened to the clock everytime they touched the ball is 4a north still way behind 4a south? yes, without a doubt. Was this a promising look for the future of 4a North football? absolutely. When a team comes out and plays strong I am always going to recognize that. Especially if I previously doubted that they could. What I'm saying is EC handled them well as we all expected, however they showed more promise than I personally expected from them . I thought up through most of the third quarter I was going to lose my bet @temptation you owe me two beers

I dont want to point at coaches to much because just getting to state in huge Itself. But quote me here. This score was not indicative of the game. Northwood played one hell of a game and represented the north better than anyone has in awhile in 4a. Imo they elevated every school north of carmel

If the Papists can win 3A in Chatard’s absence, and Chatard takes 4A, we’re one step closer to the p/p sweep. I fully support this.

Luers win the title for ugliest uniforms for the weekend. North Posey may need the officiating crew to let them play defense with 12 again.

Stinks when it happens on the “big stage” for everyone to see- but it happens all over the State to lots of public’s. We dealt with it for years in Sectional vs the mighty MD Wildcats. Imagine how many State finals appearances HH would have if Chatard wasn’t a Southern representative for all those years?? Fear not though- I think NP will score one for the good guys today and not let the P/P make it a clean sweep from 1-3A.

Defensively, I would say this Snider team is a top 3 all time Snider defense. Offensively, the lack of a consistent passing game takes away a little bit. I would say a top 10 team all time Snider team and, most importantly, a state champion Snider team

Congrats to Snider and fans. I knew this team was special, that’s why I was one of the very few to pick them to win by multiple scores. Let’s be honest, Snider left multiple points off the board. This game could have been a lot worse for DC. Also the discipline this Snider team showed was impressive.

So who really cares then? You think you're going to change the mind of a proud Snider program and their contingent of fans? No one really cares what some guy on the gridiron says, lol. These kids are celebrating a state championship tonight. I doubt any thought of where they rank statewide is even crossing their mind. They did something big tonight. You do nothing but type behind your keyboard insulting them. Your list of life accomplishments is probably pretty small, if anything at all.

Just an outstanding job by the 5A crew. Two things stuck out to me: The way they handled the intentional grounding call should be made into a clinic video. The Referee held the spot of the pass. The wing official came in to communicate that the pass did not make it to the neutral zone. The Umpire confirmed there was not an eligible in the area. The R then dropped the flag. Textbook. The unfortunate kerfuffle on the DC bench area following the interception at the end of the game could have been much, much worse. But the crew acted quickly, assisted by the coaches, to isolate the two trouble spots, and then moved in to shut them down. Great job by veteran officials who did not get rattled by the situation.

Well, if memory serves me correctly, I had Bloomington South playing Snider for the state title: Sagarin is overrated, I personally don’t put much stock in it. I trust my eyes more than Sagarin

Another title is also a tribute to the late, great ball coach, Ray Schultz.
