  1. Heritage Hills, oh boy what a train of team they have. They are going to run away to the State Championship game. Hell of a team in Lincoln City, players were flying all over the field offensively and defensively. Tough to see my Tigers bow out, gave them all they had in the 2H and I wish for the best for the Seniors! Go represent the South Heritage Hills!

  2. The Indy elitist attitude continues… I love how CP just keeps rolling and getting a typical passive aggressive respect from the Indy elites. Please keep underestimating them, I’m sure it helps motivate them. CP rolls Carroll and will beat Westfield. I do agree that a team like LN will present a challenge to CP defense but LN won’t stop CP offense either.

  3. I chuckle at the 5-4 and 6-3 guarantees as someone who has lived in the HCC blue print for the past 25 years. Does Komet look at the schedule and assume that’s the case or has he actually watched Crown Point this year? They have a solid offensive scheme and multiple 6’2-6’4 LB/TE who will be playing D1 football. And a 4 year starter at QB who is also going D1. They are a tier 1 HCC team with a very good offense that can control clock. Their weakness is the same as last year: no elite speed in the secondary or at WR, which will kill you against BD or LN’s of the world. Brownsburg, Fishers or Westfield could probably exploit the CP secondary, but I don’t think any one of them are stopping CP’s offense. I’ve seen enough of Carrol that I’ll take CP by about 7-10. CP vs Westfield or Fishers is a close game just like last year.

  4. To be fair, Crown Point was 5-5 in year one under Buzea.

  7. True story. Illinois has a points based system to make playoffs and they knew they had no chance of winning. They broke it off to try and find a game they can gain points.

  10. Ole Miss 28, Georgia 10. This is another one in this crazy season. This is good for IU and Notre Dame.

  12. New Pal has consistently proven that the strength of schedule and number of two-way starters does not matter. They are the best 4A team I've watched this season. I think Chatard will come ready to play so hoping for another entertaining game. But I think 4A is New Pal's to lose.

  13. Their defense yes, their offense leaves a lot to be desired.

  14. So, what are we saying here? Everyone sucks unless they beat an HCC or MIC team or Cathedral/Center Grove? Yes, Crown Point’s schedule is sub par for a 6A contender. But by no means does that prove they couldn’t finish in the top 2 or 3 of the HCC. Have you actually watched CP play? Throw out the level of comp and just look at the schemes and talent on offense.

  16. That was the lightning weekend where the game was finished on Saturday. It was close on Friday night. Kids got up early and traveled back to Ft Wayne to finish it…. and they had a couple key players not play on that Saturday. Not discounting that loss just providing context.

  17. I will continue. It is just ridiculous the commentary from the Indy insiders. It’s just unfathomable that a team from the North is actually better the Indy. It’s hilarious to read it all season long. They just continue rolling and the skeptical commentary continues.

  18. Who has CP beaten? Penn? Mishawaka? Elkhart? None of those teams are legit this year and you know it. Elkhart was bad, joke of a schedule. Concord was beaten by an average Warsaw team, at home. Penn, well, I will let our Penn friends tell you about their team.

  19. Congrats to Memorial on a good season and what turned out to be a game that made every Patriot nervous, if we are being honest. Memorial QB is the real deal--impressive kid along with the rest of that team. Great atmosphere, great night.

  20. 1st of all - Congrats to the Patriots. You guys were the class of the PAC this year and showed your medal last night taking out the undefeated SIAC champs. Well done and best of luck moving forward Speaking of moving forward - it looks like it is a REAL possibility the Patriots won't have to leave the Jungle in their quest to return to Lucas Oil?!? Did I read that correctly? I've made my thoughts known about Sect. 31 (see below) - congrats to North Harrison - but what a JOKE of a job the IHSAA did with that Sectional alignment. In what world can anyone look at the alignment of 31...then look at 32, and think that is a fair allocation of teams?? "I'll just say this one time and be done with it - cause it is what it is at this point - but what a JOKE when comparing the 2 sectionals. Anyone with half-a-brain could have figured out a more even/balanced scenarios for the tournament. Yes, there'd be 2 hour drive times - but newsflash - there are 2 hour drive times anyway already in 31. Again - it is what it is - but the incompetency of the IHSAA just never ceases to amaze. 21. Great season. Snider came up a little short last night. I love this defense, what they've done over the last two seasons will be forever remembered. Offense is young this year, but they fought hard with the resources they had. To anyone associated with the Snider program who might be reading this, congratulations on a hard fought season. Aaron Vance is a fighter. MVP goes to Landen Fry. It' hard to ignore how he helped the offense late in the season, his defensive accomplishments speak for themselves. Best wishes to Logan (Notre Dame) and Kolagbodi (Delaware), both players were a joy to watch. Blakley is a beast and will succeed wherever he ends up. Congrats to all the other seniors for making their mark on this program. Thanks to the Snider program for bringing another exciting season to the Snider community.

  22. Crown Point goes does no worse than 7-2 with an all Indy schedule this year, maybe 9-0. Keep the receipt. It's a shame we won't get to see Elkhart vs, let's say, a Noblesville or Zionsville.

  24. I got East Noble a bit higher as well, around 14. I fully expect EN to win regionals next week and let’s see who they would play in semi-state. I would also have CP around 7

  25. Got to call you out on this my friend. Westfield is the real deal. For you to dismiss them against Crown Point is fools gold, especially having to go to Westfield. I am not sold one bit on CP being a great team. Good team, yes. Playing an Indy schedule, 5-4, maybe 6-3. Speed kills when only one team has it, like CP does against the opponents they play currently. Beating a down Penn team 35-0, ho hum. Hell, when Snider best Elkhart last week it told me all I needed to know about the strength of all the teams in the upper North. Concord getting beat by Warsaw only reinforces that. Having watched a bit of the HSE/Fishers game, I got Fishers ahead of CP

  26. Thanks, my friend! I'll try my best to hang around for another season! Right now I've got to get some rest. The Irish basketball team should be very good this season too. I hope to see a lot of their games too. And I'm thankful for the GID, where we can all share our thoughts, no matter how outlandish.

  27. Interesting that you have already crowned Crown Point as the 6A North representative (with Westfield still waiting in the wings). Also interesting that you think they won't get thumped by the 6A South representative (Be that Brownsburg, Lawrence North, or Center Grove). We will see how it plays out.

  28. I have Crown Point over Carroll by 14+ because I think they are the best team in the State of Indiana. East Noble's 38-0 trouncing over Dwenger on the Saints home field is utterly eye popping, admit it. More impressive than Brownsburg's home win over Dwenger 45-13.

  29. I think CP's next step to getting more respect is adding an Indy school to their schedule each year. If they start playing a Indy school each year, and win or get beat in a close game, come the playoffs, people will be actually looking at them and say, yeah they have what it takes. The players went out an took care of business. I am not trying to take that from them.

  30. On a positive note...Congrats to the young men and coaching staff at Lawrence North on their strong win against Cathedral. Their first sectional championship since 2021 and only their second sectional championship win in decades, last time before 21 was in 1990

  31. Dinan doesn't take it easy. Snider's D utterly dominated Carroll in the second half. Kudos to Dinan though, he made the necessary adjustments to put the game away with that final touchdown. Yes, Crown Point over Carroll by 13+. And yes, 6A is won in the trenches. Hard to do with a 5A enrollment.

  36. On behalf of ALL the GID Faithful... We certainly are anticipating you to be there next year! I know that I am... Great season for the Irish, though it didn't end as you expected. Now you have a "Wildcat team" to root for as they move forward. IHSAA FB has given us tonight a heck of a rest of the season to look forward to, IMO.

  38. Congratulations to Brownsburg. I was on PA tonight, and we all said that BD had to keep its foot on the gas because we knew it wasn't over. We'd all seen too many Brownsburg/BD games where it was BD making the hair-on-fire comeback. The Bulldogs did it tonight. They'll have their hands full with Lawrence North next week. Should be a great one. Also, as a side note, I was very prominently dressed in BD garb. I made sure to congratulate every Brownsburg player I saw leaving, and one young man even stopped to thank the man holding the gate for them. All the kids were very classy. Extremely impressive impression from me. They weren't going crazy or acting like they'd just won the State Championship. They celebrated. Their fans were amazing, and they deserved the title in the end.

  42. Most of them have to do with confusing NFL and NCAA rules with NFHS rules. For example, defenders in the neutral zone before the snap, but they got back. Uncatchable pass on a DPI. Returner bringing a kick out of the end zone. Breaking the huddle with 12. The other one is something coaches don't realize is a waste of energy: yelling "hold" on almost every play as if we aren't watching for illegal blocks. The only thing that does is result in us not listening to much of anything else you have to say.
