Anyways, hopefully Roncalli and Heritage Hills take care of business, so the Patriots can try to extend their unbeaten streak against the Rebels/Royals (changelings Benedict Arnolds). This would replace the 1999 HH-Roncalli matchup that never happened. Jett's father was a senior on that team but was hamstrung against Mount Vernon (Posey) in the sectional final. Bring back the bone!3 points

Average season for the WRC. I'd like to think it will be a lot more competitive next year. Front runner for the WRC crown in 2026 will be the Mustangs with the Panthers chasing right behind them.3 points

Contrary to the belief of your fellow posters on this board, I do not believe that my favorite program is free of flaws nor above reproach. And no, I do not have him on ignore. Seeing his posts actually boots my self esteem.2 points

Right Church Wrong Pew I was in a clinic , my first one ever at Central Michigan area, Soaring Eagle, Casino, NIKE COY clinic circuit, I was like a JR at Purdue and Coach Meeks took me, along with Chris Bell at South Newton, saw this guy from Grand Valley State talk in a small room, and he was AWESOME, then I followed him to Central Michigan, Cincy, ND and now LSU, watching, listening, definitely not the same guy that was so rooted in the game at GVst, vs whatever that characture of coaching he performed starting with that nonsense Bayou draw all the way to the final days......2 points

One week to go in the regular season but with the draw being last night, figured it'd be as good a time as any to generate some discussion around the 2A tournament. Adams Central looking to make it four consecutive trips to Lucas Oil with Andrean looking to avenge last season's semi-state loss on its home field. Sectional 36 boasts a handful of capable teams in the most balanced sectional in the state according to Sagarin. Will the survivor there have anything left? A handful of worthy squads in the south bracket. Brownstown Central has been on the doorstep too many times to count and will likely enter the postseason undefeated though this week's test against Scottsburg may be telling. Linton always has to be considered a threat, likewise for Indianapolis Lutheran and Triton Central. Lapel intrigues me also. This class may be the most unpredictable Temp's Title Odds: Brownstown Central: 25% Adams Central: 20% Andrean: 20% Linton: 10% Lapel: 10% The Field: 15% Whatcha say?1 point

First time ever playing Martinsville...I know very little about them. Stay focused on the week and don't overlook. The Jungle should be pretty live Friday night. Weather will be spectacular. REGIONAL Championship HH vs Martinsville Friday, November 14th 7:00 pm CST @ Heritage Hills - The Jungle History Of The Matchup Martinsville (6-6) @ Heritage Hills (11-1) Heritage Hills - The Jungle Friday, November 14, 2025 7:00 pm CST Kickoff Patriot fans, get ready — The Jungle will be the place to be this Friday night as Heritage Hills hosts Martinsville in the 2025 Class 4A Regional Championship. The Patriots are averaging 50.08 ppg on offense and have allowed 9.67 ppg defensively, while the Artesians have scored 28.91 ppg and give up 33.33 ppg. It’s been a special season for the Patriots, filled with strong performances, a balanced offense, and a defense that’s stepped up when it mattered most. Now, with a regional title on the line, Heritage Hills faces a new challenge — the Martinsville Artesians, a program the Patriots have never played before. That unfamiliarity adds some extra excitement to an already big game. Our Patriots have been outstanding at home this year, and The Jungle has become a tough place for visiting teams to play, thanks to the energy and pride of the fans. Martinsville has proven itself as a resilient, battle-tested team capable of handling high-pressure situations. With both teams coming in strong, this first-ever meeting should make for a great matchup. For the Patriots, the key will be to stay grounded — focus on execution, stay disciplined, and keep doing the little things that have made this season so successful. If they continue to play with the same unity and effort that’s carried them all year, they’ll be right where they want to be. So come out, fill the stands, and help make The Jungle come alive for what promises to be an exciting night of playoff football. PACK THE JUNGLE this Friday to cheer for the RED, WHITE, & BLUE! Good grief, don't make that public. No one knows about that. All they know is that Michigan is #1 on the all-time wins list. Just leave it at that. Certainly you have him on ignore like I do. I have the pleasure of not seeing any of his posts. It's great.1 point

Not sports related, but this type of thing fascinates me. Anyone catch the northern lights last night? At some point, they were visible from anywhere in the State. Tonight is supposed to be more intense. It's the first time I was able to see anything with just my eyes and not needing to use my phone.1 point

Yep. Nobody is happy with how that went down. Still a chance that both South Putnam and Providence move up next year.1 point

A slow decline into irrelevance would suit them right, and may be fun to watch. Who leaves first? Northwestern? Rutgers? Nebraska?1 point

I hear your coach....but there is much more variability on pass to run ratio in college vs the NFL. In the NFL, according to the stats below, 31/32 teams above at 50% and above passing vs the run. In college, many more teams, 88/136 teams have a higher run than pass play %. So is it really equally important that college teams to be successful must have a marquee QB? https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/passing-play-pct https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/passing-play-pct I hear you that great passing and great running are not mutually exclusive. But at the end of the day, there are only so many elite QB's, and the teams with one are at a decided advantage. So in a way, the NFL has skewed the game to be much more dependent on a singular role. Because the QB is so important, on offense its all about the QB, LT and WR....on defense is about the edge and a cover CB. You gave me limited choices. I'm going to expand and say I'd rather have Jaworski and Montgomery; Bradshaw, Harris and Blier; Staubach and Dorsett; Griese, Csonka and Kiick, etc. I know, I know...am I starting to fart dust???1 point

Also hoping we get to see a Roncalli/Heritage Hills matchup. Roncalli's talent and depth versus the top end star power of HH.1 point
-
This game intrigues me just as last week's Crown Point/Penn tilt did. The team with prestige and history trying to prove its in the process of revitalizing itself versus the up and comer that has tasted success and wants to get back to downtown Indy for another shot at it.1 point

Best wishes to Roncalli DC Alex Bettag. It would be interesting to see him be responsible for game planning against the HH offense. HH ran a pro/Wishbone scheme when he played at HH, so no inside knowledge. Roncalli got a jewel of a coach and man in Coach Bettag.1 point

B10 and other P4 conference are a corporation now Been talking about this for last 2 years Posted video of Billionaire opening talking about buy-in 51% of a College Football team ....... It is not going back1 point

Yeah, their defense kept them in a lot of games this year. Offensive timing and turnovers were the achilles heal for the jays in their games against decent squads. That often happens when you have a fairly young team like they did. I give this team a lot of credit for continuing to fight all season long. They had a huge blow week 1 when they lost their best player and D1 commit. Lambert will have them locked in this offseason and look for the Jays to be an extremely tough out the next 2 years.1 point

HH had an easier road through sectional than GS. Not to open up a ‘pound for pound’ discussion, but I would argue Sectional 32 has been deeper than 24 the last few years. A 3A school has won 5 out of 6 tries. Memorial - 2019, 21, 22, & 23 Reitz - 2024 (no 3A team in sectional) Heritage Hills - 20251 point

Mostly because the majority people in the north who have been following 1A expected Pioneer to be the team playing at Semi state instead of NJ or LaVille. LaVille will be a tough out though.1 point

Nothings ever guaranteed though is it? Chatard pretty much took Roncalli to the woodshed during the regular season, and what time do the Trojans play on Friday night? Just sayin...1 point

Though HH lost a couple key players last year, for all intents and purposes you could say they're a year older this year. Roncalli is and should be looked at as the favorite, but the statement that there's "not much standing in the way of Roncalli vs Dwenger for a state title" is laughable.1 point

For what it’s worth, I recently heard that Lafleur wasn’t happy with the way that story was retold when reported.1 point

Saleh and LaFleur were GA's at Western Michigan when Kelly was the head coach. He hosted a party for friends and staff. Saleh and LaFleur got invitations, so they show up. Kelly meets them at the door and says oh no, you're not invited to the party. You are here to park cars for the guests. Both of them promised each other if they were ever head coaches, they would never treat anyone on staff or their GA's like that.1 point

Huntington is an excellent choice. I went with Wabash for that game since it is closer to being centrally located between TL/Luers. 1 hr 25 mins to HN from Twin Lakes and only 40 minutes or so from Luers. Wabash is an hour from both schools. Either location would be an improvement compared to the 2 hour trip Luers will have Friday night. Huntington North would still get to showcase their facility by hosting the North Miami/South Adams game.1 point

What if the neutral site team is not playing and is hosting a winter sport? Tough coverage and logistics. What about a scenario like Yorktown? They are still playing. Going to a neutral site location to play, yet their facilities are being used?1 point

I always root for Brownstown Central to come out of the South, appreciate the long time tenure of Coach May and would LOVE to see that community punch that ticket to Indy, only have info from Harrell to 1994, has Braves made it before? @btownqbcoach11 point
