  1. Jordan Reid, kicker at New Pal. I believe she was 7-7 EP this week. Girl is a speedster in track and a good basketball player also. And she was Homecoming Queen this week. @Coach Nowlin , if this picture isn't allowed, please delete. We know her through AAU GBB.

  3. This same stuff was about a high powered passing offense was said a few years ago by some chesty Plymouth fans and NP left Plymouth with a Sectional Title. Nobody from the NLC is going to dominate a good Radtke team in the playoffs, especially if he’s burning up clock with the wishbone. His comment about Penn being bad is laughable. The list of NLC teams capable of beating Mishawaka and Penn in the same year is slim to none.

  4. This will be my last comment on this thread so we can move on to next week. Welcome to the posting world. I would say that 90% of coaches at any school is there for the kids. I have had and seen coaches leave a program and still stay in contact with former players whether still playing or graduating. But just because a coach moves on doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about the players on his team. Are you saying of a teacher takes a new roll as an admin that they don’t care about their students? Of course you aren’t. But we need to look at it that way. If I was teaching 7th grade math and wanted to better myself and became a principal at the same or different school doesn’t mean I don’t care. It means I am taking care of my family. Thanks for your comments. Please continue to post on next weeks thread. This group can be fun with the right content!

  5. Can’t agree more... I will never understand people that don’t enjoy HS sports. Even with the recent rise in price of tickets in our area, it is STILL one of the best entertainment values anywhere.

  6. I think the WW/Crawford County game was like 1 hr 45 min. Running clock 2nd half. I dont care to pay because that money is for the school. Hell I once walked in rain....paid for ticket and food...then went back to car to watch the game from the parking lot. What's $20 to help the school? I'll never understand why some want to line up on roads to watch but avoid paying.

  7. Jones was THE difference maker today. I thought the Cowboys had a horrible gameplan. If they give Elliott the ball 25 times or so, I think they wear down the Packers defense. I am ok with it. That is a huge road win. It was good to see Jimmy Graham make some plays. The crazy thing is, if they beat the Lions next week, they take a firm grip on a tough division. I will be curious to see how the Cowboys respond. Even with two losses, they have a lot of personalities that demand a lot of attention on the field.

  9. Most states have been using a mercy rule for many years. It's an indication we are finally in line with the rest of the country.

  10. Would be a nice appearance for the Twin Cities. LCC and West Lafayette split blue/red rings, respectively, back in 2015. LCC and West Lafayette last appeared and both took home blue rings in 2009. It'd be nice to see a triple sweep this year. Edit: And it would also be three from the Hoosier Conference too ... LCC, Cass, and West Lafayette.

  11. Lacey starts both ways for us. Our week 6 game, she didn't come off the field 1 time.

  13. So that little horrible conference known as HNAC who plays no one is 2-0 vs Glenn this year. Maybe Glenn should stick to playing NIC teams so they can get some wins.

  14. I've been a new prairie fan for 40 years!!!! I'm saying new prairie hasn't came close to playing a team to what Plymouth does. And that's a fact!!!!! Baron is one of best QBs in state. When I read people saying new prairie is winning state I'm just hoping they get out of sectional.

  15. Correct see some other threads when I have stated that the running clock can’t start until after halftime. Seymour is bad... East Backups would beat Seymour. East by 40+. Was told McDonald has a mild ankle sprain.

  16. Yikes, Merrillville, a team with size and speed, has no shot against Jeff? Don’t overlook Crown Point in Sectional 1 either. They have a knack for lulling teams to sleep in 20-14 type games and finding ways to win.

  19. The vast majority of clock foul ups favor the visitors, I have no idea why.

  21. My little rant this morning. Why are so many people obsessed with Moore changing jobs and schools to coach. Isn’t the goal in life to put yourself in the best possible position for your family and yourself? I would assume most of us here have took promotions, better paying jobs, better benefits so we could be successful and support our family. If you haven’t I’m sorry. Look at all the coaches you know. How many have stayed at one school? If Sanders was moving on from RP to another school you would hear nothing about it. No disrespect to Sanders but the program isn’t successful. People don’t like when Moore moves because he is successful. Once again he has put himself in that position so schools, teams, parents and fans want him. Wonder how many here that bash him would change their way of thinking if he was coming to their school? Rant is over, let’s talk about 2019 football add something constructive to the forum. Let’s get some actually good football conversation going.

  22. Hold on for a minute Guru and Curtain . . . . TurfToe thinks there is too much HNAC on this thread, like the HNAC thinks they are relevant. Maybe we ought to take our ball and go home! After all, he can't wait for Mishawaka to join the NLC for some good natured bantering. On the other hand, the last time I checked the HNAC thread had far more views than the NIC thread for Week #7. Not sure what TurfToe means by relevant.?! I think the HNAC thread is extremely relevant. Discussion, banter, digs, proud supporter's of their respective team(s). In this case, it so happened that Glenn (NIC) was playing LaVille (HNAC) this particular week. Both threads alive and well! as always, the game is better from_the_sidelines007

  23. NP beat Mishawaka by one. Mishawaka lost to East Noble by 5. East Noble beat Plymouth by 3. Plymouth could beat New Prairie, but I highly doubt they will "pass all over them all night long." It should be a good game. Sure it's a Penn team that isn't up to Penn standards, but that's like saying "Oh, well Trine beat a a bad Notre Dame team.."....still shouldn't happen and when it does it's a nice win for the underdog school

  24. Bill Peebles had that program going in a good direction. He rebuilt the Southport program and had LC headed north. 12-9 after two years after a three year 10-21 stretch under the previous coach. If Coach Rodenberg didn't investigate the program before he took the job, that's on him. Sorry, this doesn't make much sense to me.

  25. Southridge is 23% hispanic according to the DOE website. They have been to Semistate last year and won state the year before in football in 2A. Won a boys basketball sectional two years ago in 3A. Won a wrestling sectional last year. Went to state in baseball last year in 2A. Girls won a sectional in 2A softball last year. Not sure that having a hispanic student body makes any difference.

  27. Hamstrings are sometimes tricky. They can heal up quick or become nagging and drag on for a while. Hopefully the shoulder thing is just a stinger or jammed and not separated. Never had a shoulder injury but did have a couple of hammy issues over the years. Used a topical thing the trainers had called "Atomic Balm" with a wrap. Worked great. Only took a few days and was able to get back to full practice and played the next game. That was back in the 70's. That topical I used is probably illegal these days. LOL They probably don't even make it any more.

  29. At the end the other coach is quoted as saying that he didn't have a problem with what happened. Sounds like a personal beef between the coach and admin to me.

  30. If we were to add a 6th official it would make much more sense to put them in the defensive backfield rather than the CJ position. I have never heard of any officials at any level adding the CJ any earlier than the 8th official. The NFL moved the umpire there so they do it with 7. There has been discussions with going to 7 officials for later rounds of the tournament so I know there is at least interest in exploring it. I would love to see us move in that direction.

  31. That's really good that you know math but question. How good is new prairie at defending pass? Plymouth will pass all over them. New prairie has played NO ONE close to what Plymouth does.

  32. New Pal's first possession began on the 6 yard line after a 5 yard punt from Shelbyville on the one yard yard line. This was after a near safety on second down, and a probable safety on third down that was somehow marked at the one yard line. It was brutal to watch last night.

  33. Student body makeup is 12.5% hispanic according to the DOE website. I see the boys and girls basketball teams are not exactly lighting the world on fire either. Seems that the community has no interest in high school athletics and their seems to be a total lack of school spirit at Shelbyville.
