  1. LOL I was thinking about it when we started our pick 'ems for this year. That way it'll be easier to navigate the smack talk "competitive banter" between @Frozen Tundra and I. 😆

  2. Someone from this conference….feel free to start a 2021 conference topic. 73 pages is pretty impressive though. 😁

  3. Castle has hard time winning 4 regular season siac games most years.

  4. Any list created by a these prospect agencies has to be taken with a grain of salt to a certain extent. If a player didn't sign up on their site and pump them camp video....they won't make their list. Which is certainly fine.

  5. Hey DT, Thanks for all the quality interviews and offseason content. I've learned a lot reading your writeups. Just want to let you know that they are appreciated.

  6. Oh come on. This conference has to be the best at something because we sure don’t do it as a whole on the gridiron 😂

  7. Glad we play them week 3 to help us come playoff time.

  8. I had the pleasure of working a few Chatard games over the years. Nobody competes harder than those guys.

  9. How about that answer to #3! Love the balance between academics and athletics. Seems they walk the walk that others talk and truly put kids first. Chatard gained a fan with this one. Thanks as always @DT

  10. And Bloomington South just had two highly rated players move in. (Dad is new coach at IU.) Castle may have a hard fight just to get out of Sectional.

  11. Castle doesn’t play GS correct but Castle is in 5A and so is Cathedral . GS looks to have a better chance at LOS then the Knights....

  12. Castle doesn’t play GS. I think this is more about parents looking for something different. JMO. I’d bet the bank not one of these kids suggested to their parents to send them to GS. I think both looking for a chance to play at LOS. JMO. Or maybe GS is trying to out recruit Memorial.

  13. Your questions are definitely valid. I have heard coaches say the only way to ‘win’ the scrimmage is to get out with everyone healthy. It still can be a valuable dress rehearsal though. I would guess it’s more of a coach’s preference as opposed to regional/parts of the state. Some want to treat scrimmage like week 3 of the NFL preseason and starters play into the second half. Others are more like week 4 - one series and done. I think overall it’s worthwhile. But matching up against the right opponent is the biggest thing, IMO.

  14. A couple of thoughts....... wouldn't they be Wolves? And, what is better than #1 ?

  15. Really was hoping we were done with this stuff. Glad it’s only week one. Hopefully this will be the only time we see this happen this season, but I’m skeptical…

  19. Some of the new dudes are defensive linemen, so I think that's the hope. They are going to be VERY good this year.

  20. Honest question....do any of these new dudes prevent teams from running it down their throat?

  21. Agreed. I just assumed the ranking methodology for this list was number of ‘doing work’ tweets posted by the player over the summer. :shrug

  22. Digital Scout is popular with an easy upload feature to Maxpreps I'm told.

  25. I like his answer to question 5, adapting his schemes to his personnel. Although I think this is imperative to having a championship caliber team, how many dont do this? And are they ever really successful as far as winning championships?

  26. Since I keep reading stories on here about the NLC schools dwindling in numbers for football, thought I'd share a picture from last night at Northridge. 300+ k-12 kids in our program showed up in force, and I know of a couple dozen off the top of my head that couldn't make it out last night. Some serious enthusiasm for football in Middlebury.

  29. Per WDRB.com - The school announced Monday morning that its health and safety protocols have prompted it to cancel a scrimmage scheduled Friday against Whiteland and the season-openin football game scheudled for next week against Bell County (KY). Neither even will be made up. The Red Devils now are scheduled to open their varsity football season on Friday, August 27th, at home against Hoosier Hills Conference-rival Seymour.

  30. Why yes Dante. One bridge is worth trillions of taxpayers dollars. And since this a federal interstate bridge then it should fall under the responsibility of the federal government to fix, where the vast majority of other roads, bridges, etc. should be the responsibility of the states.

  31. So because I pay for a subscription to the Indy Star I should post interviews, editorials etc. as if I work for them? Got it.
