After watching them vs NN, I do not think it will be their last win of the year if they can keep getting their talented Freshman class up to Varsity speed and keep their Mr. Everything QB healthy Kuddos to my friend @CoachDurham and crew

Evansville Bosse beat Evansville Central tonight 36-34. This is Bosse's first win over Central since the 2000 season.

I mean it was week 2 and they played a top 2 3A team and top 25 team in the state….a team that beat chatard and has a 4 ⭐️ kid who trains with Robert Mathis. let’s not overreact to their loss

They bumped up 1 class… won a state title in 5A and have stayed in 5A. It’s an accomplishment.. Pretty sure only 4 schools have bumped up and won a state title (Columbus East, New Pal, Memorial and Cathedral) with only Columbus East and Cathedral bumping up and having to play 2 classes above their normal class. While it sucks for current kids, we all thought it was a great idea when Cathedral and Chatard were winning title after title prior to the implementation of this success factor.

I attended the Carmel (IN) - Detroit ML King game last night in what was one of the greatest games I have ever seen. To set it up, ML King is up 33-29 with a little over a minute to go but Carmel has a first and goal at the ML King two yard line. King's defense tightens up and forces a fourth down play which is unsuccessful (an incomplete pass into the end zone). King fans celebrate an apparent win. However, on the first offensive play after the goal line stand, King fumbles and Carmel recovers the ball and runs it in for a touchdown. Carmel fans are elated. King receives the ball with exactly a minute to go in the game and drives the ball down the field scoring with 8.8 seconds to go to take a 40-36 lead. King fans are again elated and think the game is over. For some reason, King pooch kicks the kickoff and Carmel returns it to the King 35 yard line with 3.8 seconds to go. The Carmel quarterback launces a pass into the end zone on the final play and a kid from Carmel blocks the ML King defenders off to make an amazing catch in the end zone. Final score: Carmel 42 Detroit ML King 40. On top of all that, we stumbled into a fantastic place to eat prior to the game. Folks, this in what it is all about.

If they would’ve been contracted, then the community never gets to see this win or, possibly a winning season. Way to go SN!

It seems the latest thing is for the students to bring talcum powder to the game, and when the team scores for the first time, they let loose a big cloud of white dust. Only thing is that the stuff hangs in the air and takes a while to dissipate. The Lake Central — Munster game was held up for 5 minutes Friday because visibility was so poor on the field. A word of warning: the IHSAA is very aware of this phenomenon. If your students do it, it will earn you a 15 yd. penalty right then, and your AD is going to get a call from Asst. Commissioner Faulkens that is going to get his work week off to a really lousy start.

Yeah I think it’s time for coach ralph to move on. A 96-8 coaching record won’t cut it at New Pal. I mean come on…if I can have a better coaching record than you on super tecmo bowl than how good are u really?! This is kick catching interference. 15 yard penalty from the spot and receiving teams ball. Even if receiving team is not in the area it is still kick catching interference b/c Kicking team cannot catch a free kick. They have to let it touch the ground 1st kicking team can catch a punt if receiving team in not close to ball on the other hand

Knowing your penchant for precision, I should point out that it is not possible to fumble a pass, backward or otherwise. Fumbles can only be made by those who possess the ball. If a player possesses the ball, it is no longer a pass. It is possible, however, to muff a backward pass … to the same effect.

Calc II is hard any how, but it's really hard when you lack the prerequisite algebra and trig skills... sorry just venting.

A few surprises last week let’s get week 2 rolling: Bremen/Washington- I think this one will be a tight one. Washington will slow the game down with their ground and pound offense. Question is can Bremen contain Washington’s speed. Bremen is going to have to play mistake free. I like Washington by 6. CMA/Marian- I’m going with Marian in this one. I don’t see CMA overpowering Marians defense. Look for Marian to take this one by 17. Elkhart/Mishawka- Going with the Cavemen here. Elkhart has been licking its wounds since the injuries have been piling up. Cavemen by 14 Concord/Jimtown- Either Northwood defense is stellar or jimtown is one dimensional. The Jimmies will start off 0-2. Dunlap by 13 Laporte/Penn- What is going on in Granger? Is the yeoman era coming to an end? There are rumblings around the area of being on the hot seat. Something tells me different but Kingsmen +1 Adams/Fairfield- Adams should be able to handle this one quite easily. Fairfield seems to have lost some fire power and it definitely hurts their #1 QB moved out of state. Adams by 30 Clay/Goshen- not much to say Goshen by 40 Riley/Glenn- a little conference matchup. Riley was declawed by Michigan City by 60. Glenn came out strong from the first whistle. Glenn’s Defense held Boon Grove to negative yardage through 3 quarters until it appeared they put in the JV Team. Boone Grove totaled 62? Yards of total offense and only had 1 first down because of a penalty in the first half. Look for Glenn to soar Friday night by 24. St. Joe/Northridge- going with Northridge. ST. Joe appear to lack firepower. Northridge grinds this one out by 14 Twin Lakes/NP- Cougars offense runs wild Friday night. NP by 21

Yeah, 2017 was another senior Cameron. He died on my sons birthday. They were pretty tight even though my son was a freshman at the time. While my son has graduated last year, he played a lot of downs with this Cameron.

Doing a Google search, it looks like they lost students to automobile crashes in 2016, 2017 and 2018 as well. Condolences going out to the entire community there as they deal with this tragedy. So sad.

Correct… 32 seniors graduated last year I believe. Which I believe is the biggest class that has graduated at one time during this run.. like you said, Coach knew it as a rebuild this year.

Seymour needs to find a coach that actually cares for the kids in his program, and not trying to use this job (or his father's record) as a stepping stone for an Indy job.
