2 SIAC AND 1 PAC Team in Semi-State. Congrats to SW Indiana!4 points

All 3 of your sentences are gross exaggerations. If you don’t think the league as a whole had a good year (and better year than the MIC) then you aren’t really paying attention. Brownsburg was as good last week as they were bad this week. To say BD isn’t very good? Just plain dumb. MIC is still #1. HCC is a clear #2.4 points

After watching the SAC's streak of having a semi-state representative for 34 years in a row come to an end tonight, it's only appropriate to bring up the topic of restructuring the conference in the off season. Teams from the Indy area proved last night that they are on a different level. This has nothing to do with the players, but everything to do with the programs. The growth of Indy area football programs have come along way over the last 20 years, and now it's just a matter of figuring out how to catch up. It took several years, but the HCC has finally caught up with the MIC. It only took a few years, but the SAC elevated the level of play from Homestead and Carroll. Now the question is, who can elevate the level of play from the SAC? The answer is simple. Restructure the conference so that teams can schedule at least one team outside the division during the regular season. How many would be ideal? Three or four? Who knows, but one game would be a good start. I'd like to see Snider, Homestead, and Carroll have the opportunity to schedule a team from the MIC, a team from the HCC, and a team from the region on an annual basis. Allow Dwenger to knock heads with Chatard. Luers possibly with LCC or one of those teams they used to tangle with from Ohio. That would do the trick. Instead of hitting a brick wall in the post season, our teams would know what to expect and know what to do moving forward to get to a championship level of play. This is no longer becoming a matter of opinion. It's becoming a matter of fact. If the SAC want's become a player again at a statewide level, they need to ditch the "ease of scheduling" line of thought and get rid of the 'island conference.' Twenty years ago, this Carroll team might have had what it took to reach state. Twenty years ago, this Dwenger team might have had what it took to reach state. This isn't twenty years ago. It's a new era. Make a change or get used to the status quo.2 points

Heard this the last 4-5 years. A legitimate HCC team isn’t losing to a 4-5 Ben Davis team that hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record. Talk up the HCC all you want, wins in November count for more than August.2 points

Amen. The HCC is basically 1B to the MICs 1A. Westfield is easily one of the Top 5 programs in the state and Zionsville is taking advantage of their fortuitous position in 5A.2 points

Great fact, I am born and raised in the New Prairie Community and didn’t know this fact. Mr Miller was my HS principal. Regardless the Cougars will welcome NR to Amzie Miller Field!1 point

I'm not interested in the Irish making the Final Four. I want them to improve week by week, and get a decent bowl game in a nice location. Not a clean game tonight, but a good game for the Irish. They left some points out there but had enough to win comfortably. The also had a chance to play some players who needed to see the field for experience.1 point

Kelly actually said in his post game...we did enough....and later I don't think we were ever in trouble. Both statements are accurate. But they still are not doing things that make you think this is a top team, or to just bury a team like this. They will move up one slot with Oklahoma losing. Michigan State has Ohio State and Penn State left and Michigan has Ohio State. If osu plays like they did today, they won't lose another conference game. The most I see ND moving up is 3 spots this season; leaving them at number 6.1 point

Memorial never ceases to amaze me anymore. I didn’t think they could compete in 4A when they were moved up but here they are in the final four yet again. Twice in a three year span with the first resulting in a state title.1 point

I mean….hopefully there is next week otherwise you’ll see him eventually at Purdue haha 7-0 GS after 98 yard drive 4:55 left in 1st1 point

At this point, I’m not sure that even if we put Memorial in 6A, it would stop them from a post season run lol barely a 3A school by enrollment and unintentionally trying to play in 5A1 point

Exactly right, on paper Northridge wasn't going to make it past NorthWood in round 1.1 point

He has been fun to watch the last 2 weeks, Love when you see a very competitive QB who wills their team to win. Eastbrook is losing one of those kids too.1 point

NO...I am talking about a coach's response to rule breaking, justifying it. The excessive quarters impacted BOTH the varsity game friday night (with additional depth not afforded to the other team) and the game on Saturday. I am talking about culture....another shenanigan But I understand dumbing it down to an end of the year JV game helps deflect the issue....1 point

Is it possible that Ben Davis played their best game of the season and Brownsburg had an off night? Maybe Brownsburg underestimated a team with a 4-5 record? I mean, if the HCC is as pathetic as you make them out to be, then the SAC might as well just fold their entire conference based on last nights results.1 point

What a great game! Eastside played very well. Their QB was tough to stop tonight. We had a great chance to possibly score, with the ball on their side of the 50yl, and go up 14-13. A couple of missed opportunities killed the drive. Their defense played well tonight. Great season Panthers! Good luck Eastside at Semi-State!1 point

And you said "If Judson beats LaVille and Pioneer they'll be the heavy heavy favorites." They only beat LaVille and they weren't the heavy favorites. Its utterly disrespectful to not even consider winamac the favorites going in. They were the defending champions, returned virtually their whole team and last years Judson team would have smoked this years Judson team. The elements and Winamac's offense never giving themselves a chance doomed them. But as a 98 alum from Winamac and being a lurker on this website for years. Its not out of the norm for winamac to be disrespected on here even when they are a quality, quality team.1 point
