  1. Blake looks like he is doing well. https://www.duboiscountyherald.com/archives/pats-duttlinger-pushes-through-lost-limb/article_ae963019-15ef-585b-83c1-befa8c63ad91.html Here he is at the Jeffersonville wrestling tournament December 4th. I was surprised he was able to wrestle just 3 months after the accident.

  2. This list is just the top 50 for the state and not the individual all state selections for 1A-6A. Don’t be like me a few years ago and ask later why someone isn’t on both. you can only be on ONE list. Either the player is on the Top 50 or they are eligible to be on the 1A-6A all state team…but not both. If you don’t read this you will be fodder to the rest of the forum 😂 anyways…. Offense Defense congrats to everyone!

  3. First Hey, how come *insert name from Top 50* doesn't show up on the *insert IFCA Class 6A SR All-State* list? These lists are a joke. 😀 I just wanted to be the first to post that ... over/under on time until someone really posts it?

  5. That's amazing and so awesome to see. That picture alone says so much about the kid. I've never met him but I can tell you he's a great competitor, a worker and a fighter. He and his family should be very proud of his efforts.

  8. Imo Tier 1: Columbus East Tier 2: Memorial/Mater Dei/Heritage Hills/Reitz Tier 3: Gibson Southern/Southridge/Linton I’m probably forgetting someone so don’t think I’m trying to disrespect anyone lol. Just the teams that come to my mind and where I have them stacked

  9. So, Notre Dame and Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl. Great matchup. Irish will put their streak on the line: they’ve never lost to a team coached by a guy who wears a mullet. 🤣😂

  10. It’s no different than the the year Markell Jones at East won it.. I believe he only played 2 games past halftime and 2 games he only played 1 quarter… 4 carries 147 yards and 4 TD’s against a Seymour team in the 1st quarter. Didn’t play another snap. I also think Allen should win it

  13. If your were an opposing coach you hated to see maxen. Honestly though, he was one of thos players that just put himself around the ball! Nobody hates him because of his talent only what he did to theor team with that talent. Plenty of messages with you, I enjoy watching him play at the next level, enjoy your blessings @CaptainHookI know Max will be enjoying it!. Much love as always!

  14. I don't know...your son was a lot of fun to watch on the field from his safety position....until he played CG. That wasn't fun at all!! 😄 Its great to see him doing so well at Toledo!!

  15. unless you think you have pro potential, any academy is a great option. Service to country, a degree that will last a lifetime, and a network that will benefit a person their entire life. Plus, the academies play at some great venues. But I understand the academies are not for everyone. More than stats.....

  17. I wouldn’t even be mad if you put Memorial up there with Columbus East in Tier 1, they have had an outstanding run. I would say you are about spot on with this. GS will move up if they can put together another title run or semi state run in the coming years. A ton of well ran programs in Southern Indiana.

  18. This is very accurate. Gotta be proactive in getting noticed. Get to a camp or two that record height, weight, and speed. Or run track. Send your film to the coaches of schools that interest you, but you gotta be realistic about finding your level. Twitter is a fantastic recruiting tool. Go to individual school camps if they show interest. The biggest thing is having coaches come through your high school door and your head coach putting film in front of them. I do not think my son would be where he is if a lot of coaches hadn't stopped in to see the kid that scored 70 touchdowns in a season.

  19. Through experience with my son (concerning recruiting). The player (in this case Rory), his parents, and his coaches have to be the advocate. They have to be the ones to sign up for camps/events where there will be coaches. They have to send the film to coaches (even if they don't think they have a shot at that school). Yes it is true if you have talent college coaches will find you, but that holds for the truly exceptional athlete. The player, players parents and coaches have to get it out there to College coaches. To be totally honest and fair there are 50 states (along with other countries) with 100's of High Schools that have 50-100+ players. It is unrealistic to expect college coaches to see find out about every player. Sure they will find the top to mid players. There are hidden gems they don't know about that will require the player, his parents, and his coaches to get them noticed. I will give you an example of how College Coaches sometimes stumble across players that was not on their radar. Several years back Boston College coaches were extremely interested in an Offensive Lineman at Cathedral (Jeremy Trueblood). He had measurables and play on the field and was getting all kinds of recognition and notoriety. Fortunately for the Boston College coaches when they were reviewing film of this Offensive Lineman, they stumbled across a TE and DE/LB that was lightly recruited and stood out on film when reviewing said Offensive Lineman. They ended up finding a hidden gem that was lightly being recruited. The player they stumbled across was Mathias Kiwanuka, all just by reviewing film on an Offensive Lineman. He ended up being a First Round NFL draft pick

  21. I know Allen well ... some of my tax dollars, I lived in Allen before moving to Indiana, are tied up in that stadium.

  22. If you get a chance, take a look at Texas state finals; not so much for the game ... although they are entertaining ... but for the crowd. Unfortunately, last season, with COVID, they capped the games at 17,000 attendance per game. Back in 2019, the 6A DI game attracted over 47,000 which eclipsed attendance totals at almost 3/4 of the college bowl games played that season leading up to the national championship game.

  23. Tell us what you know @DanteEstonia. Educate us. You've got nothing. While I'm at it, @gonzoron I'm still waiting for you to back up your claim that it was more than one kid. If you are simply saying that because there were other kids on the bus then say that. Your comment reads like there were other kids who painted their faces black. There wasn't and you know it. Your moral turpitude leads you to come here and trash a community and a football program because they are better than you are or ever were. Get over yourself. This thread has no business on this forum. I thought GID was better than this.

  24. If we wanted to add another element into this we could discuss the closure of Conference Indiana. This would affect the best 3 central Indiana conferences. Here is my take if this all happened in the future and what would be the best options best off of the schools. (Obviously I know this all would never happen, but I think it is fun to play around with): HCC- Westfield, Noblesville, Zionsville, Fishers, HSE, Brownsburg, Avon, Carmel, Center Grove. MIC- Warren Central, North Central, Ben Davis, Pike, Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, Franklin Central, Southport, Perry Meridian, Decatur Central. Mid-State- Greenwood, Whiteland, Franklin, Plainfield, Mooresville, Martinsville, Columbus North, Bloomington North, Bloomington South

  25. You hate to see things like this. It overshadows the great work that the players and teams put into this season. Too much recently on the GID we see things like this or coaches that abuse authority. These things are difficult to stomach at times hopefully we can move forward and not spread hate on this and not put down an entire program on the actions of one person.
