May be a GREAT time to enforce that contract that WE (officials) agree to when we accept a contest. Pay back the school(s) for a 'no show'...x3

I kind of did it backwards as I was attending high school games before either of my two boys played sports; or were even born. Mainly it was to support the older brothers of the kids that I had started coaching in the youth program, but then later to support the boys/girls that I had coached along with finally having sons that enjoyed football for the game. Now I'm at the point where I'm sitting in the stands to watch my oldest son play as I haven't coached any of the kids on the team that he currently plays on; but I have unofficially coached their little brothers. Still have another two years for the oldest in high school and another six before his younger brother gets out of high school. At that point, the pipeline should be empty between my own and the kids that I've coached, but I have a feeling that I won't quite be gone from the stands. At the Harrison/LCC scrimmage, I was looking at the roster and looking at how many of the kids on the LCC team I had coached before I retired from coaching in their youth program. Worked out that there were only about 12 kids on that roster that I hadn't coached. What caught my attention though and hit me, with something that I had never thought about while coaching, is that four kids that I coached in the youth program at LCC are now on the varsity coaching staff there.

I believe he is helping with stats and possibly social media, so he chose not to be active on TGD to avoid any conflict of interest -- or something of the sort.

I heard Garman/Sanders won the tenderloin competition. Still think it would’ve been closer if Bettis/Marshall were there. Guess Bettis wanted to head back north and see the Woofs get shut out again.

Congratulations Coach Wright on his 700th win this past Friday. So fortunate to have not only played for him but to have been a family friend.

There would be no reason to decline. Enforcement is 5 yds. from the spot of the pass, and the down counts. So, the ball would go over. As a practical matter, an experienced Referee would not even offer B’s coach a choice. Just mark off 5 from the spot of the pass, give the IG signal, together with loss of down, turn around and point the 1st down the other way, set the chains and away we go.

Someone with more inside knowledge than me help me out here… How is a team with 3-4 first round draft picks and talent galore all over the field currently in a dogfight with the preseason #10 Pac 12 team on its home field? Other than Kelly and Elston was there anymore staff turnover? If not, there is one common denominator and folks probably don’t want to hear it

Yes I could learn a thing or two. My time working on the offensive side of the ball for the Wolves was a struggle, hints why coach rector wouldn’t reinstate me as a coach. Tried getting a job under Brad but KA had to come back home and take it (prob because he’s rich). His JH teams are scoring 70+, maybe he will buy me a tenderloin and really teach me how to get an offense rolling. I have family in Mecca, Brad wouldn’t hire me, and the Panthers are a powerhouse, please stop picking on me, I’ve gone through enough this year.

I will even confess to wearing his '39 letter sweater once in awhile under my jacket of course! 😂

Father son ties.... no Lcc back in '42 when he a Sr at WL.... he played for HOF Ast coach Gordon... n I played agnst him.... so u could say we followed it all for 75rs.... good times.... 👍

Can we get some info about the north posey heritage hills game? it was a tightly contested battle the entire game and then went to 2OTs but I haven’t seen anything on it. sounds like it was the best game of the week

Well written Seal, I was at Lidy for some of the action and you described what I observed better than the press. Xander is legit as is the offense scheme. The Alices ran the option as it is designed and had success in doing so. The Vincennes bleachers were well represented with a nice student section. Well played. <><

Todays Cal game will tell us more about MF as a head coach. If they come out flat again and play like last weekend, which I don’t think will happen, it could be a one and done. I’m trying to be positive and believe he’ll learn from his mistakes but there’s a lot of question marks two games into his tenure BK: The guy wins. I remember when he came to ND a buddy of mine who hates ND saw BK speak at a coaching clinic (while he was at CMU) and said you got a really good coach. From where ND was when he got there to where he left them is really impressive. At this stage of his career, and after 2 necessary makeovers at ND, does he have the energy to bring back LSU and compete weekly in the SEC? Time will tell but if you go by his track record he will have success. The way he left ND will always have a bitter taste in my mouth. As the all time winningest coach in school history, I felt he owed a little more to his players and school. BK will always be about BK first and foremost.

I graduated in ‘77. My oldest son in ‘04. Youngest son in ‘09 (different school). I still go to as many WL games as I can. Even drove up to Rensselaer this evening. I also go to other HS games when I can. You can still go to the HS games after the kids have left the nest. It is also easier to leave early, if the game is a blowout.

Gibson Southern 24 Southridge 14 Final Having to start the backup QB against an undefeated Southridge Team on the road in their 1st varsity start was less than ideal but the young fella started to figure it out and managed the game while letting the defense do their thing. Another gritty win for GS….this team has shown more than anything that they are not willing to lose at all and will keep fighting. That’s 3 close games this year where the titans were heavily tested but they had the resolve to pull through.

Probably a win for both. CG can find a better opponent and it won't waste CG's time lol
