  2. How about we try not to derail this topic? Stay focused on the topic at hand. Most of the opinions here are duly noted on both sides....no need to bring them up in every single topic about this season.

  5. There is proof that asymptomatic carriers that go into large groups are the super spreaders that lead to outbreaks. The CDC by not testing all individuals that have a close contact are going against what epidemiologists have been saying all along. This is a political move because the federal government dropped the ball on testing and by rushing a reopening of the country when they didn't meet the requirements of re-opening. We can beat this and have football but we have only played one week and if we pretend that this isn't real we will pay for our arrogance.

  7. Hey guys. I’m not here to talk the ins and outs of Covid and mask mandates. We all know What’s going on and this and that I’m simply asking people to put their shopping carts back where they go so they don’t roll into someone else’s car. 😉😉😉

  8. Already posted predictions, but I will update now. SV 72, NV 6- the D1 talent will be too much to overcome for the Falcons. Rumor has it that a few power 5 coaches will be in attendance for this game?? Wolfs 78, Covington 6- rumor is that the Wolfs petitioned the WRC to play flag football this fall...but they were denied. Wolfs are hungry and want to send a message to all against an inferior team. Attica 10, Tri-County 8. Ramblers win by scoring 5 safeties against the Caviliers’ 4 safeties. Attica has tough kids. Seeger 32, Twin Lakes 16. Covid 19 can’t even stop the Herbie Express.

  12. This is one of those “you’re suppose to return the shopping carts to where they belong” things. will anything happen if you don’t? Nope. But what does it say if you refuse to and just leave it in a parking spot at least that is my thoughts on it lol.

  20. Week 2 Concord @ Jimtown - Looking forward to seeing how this game unfolds. The past 5 years Concord is 2-3 against Jimtown. I am going with the home team but wouldn't be a bit surprised if I'm wrong . Jimtown by 7 East Noble @ Northwood - East Noble handled Plymouth well after the first quarter (Plymouth did have several crucial turnovers). Northwood is a seasoned team for big games and is more times then not very relevant come October. I think the week 1 advantage of playing gives the Knights the edge in this one. East Noble by 10 Mishawaka @ Elkhart - Interesting match up here. Mishawaka appeared to have no problems scoring after a tight game with Marian. Not exactly sure what Elkhart will be like this year since the merger. My guess would be that Elkhart at home takes it. Elkhart by 7 Michigan City @ Warsaw - Warsaw's offensive is too effective by controlling the ball and managing the clock. I wouldn't think that MC can come to Warsaw and beat them . Warsaw by 14 West Noble @ Wawasee - West Noble has lost a lot of talent from the previous years and it showed week 1. Wawasee has been struggling for the past couple of years and hopefully they are on the up and up. I would think Wawasee gets off to a winning start this season in a close one. Wawasee by 3 Northridge @ St. Joe - St. Joe and NR have matched up well over the past 3 years with a 2-1 record in NR's favor. St. Joe however got off to a bumpy start by a loss to Bremen (not to discredit Bremen). Northridge does have a lot of question marks for this season. I think NR wins on the road. Northridge by 7 Plymouth @ Kokomo - Plymouth should bounce back this week and clean some things up. The past 2 seasons Plymouth beat Kokomo and I don't see this year being any different. Plymouth by 17 Goshen @ SB Clay - I don't think that Goshen will have much of an issue handling Clay this Friday given Clay's recent years. Goshen by 21

  21. Ha! No hate. In fact, to answer your premise, if you do make it through Elder, then FC will be ranked in the top 3, along with New Pal and Cathedral. It will be an experience either way, so parking the buses should never be an option.

  22. According to Max Preps, the Liddick kid already accomplished that 😉

  23. I’m not exactly sure what I said that was so wrong? I said “possibly upset Elder.” Everything is a possibility. Is it likely? I mean if the chances are 0 then they should keep the busses parked next week. You either hate me or you hate FC. Because your take is horrible. I am well aware of who Cincinnati Elder is and their Head Coach Doug Ramsey.

  24. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/covidview/index.html Key Points Nationally, the percentage of specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 and the percentages of visits for ILI and CLI have continued to decrease since mid-July. Using combined data from the three laboratory types, the national percentage of respiratory specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 with a molecular assay decreased from 6.9% during week 32 to 6.3% during week 33. Regionally, the percentage of respiratory specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 also declined or remained the same in nine of ten HHS regions. In Region 7 (Central), the percentage of respiratory specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 has been increasing for 10 weeks. The highest percentages of specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 were seen in Regions 4 (South East, 10.3%), 6 (South Central, 11.7%), and 7 (Central, 9.2%). The percentage is decreasing in Regions 4 (South East) and 6 (South Central) and increasing in Region 7 (Central). The percentage of outpatient and ED visits for ILI are below baseline nationally and in all regions of the country; however, ILI activity is above what is typical for this time of year. The percentage of visits to EDs for CLI decreased nationally for the fifth consecutive week and, compared to the previous week, decreased in all ten HHS regions. Systems monitoring ILI and CLI may be influenced by recent changes in health care seeking behavior, including increasing use of telemedicine, recommendations to limit emergency department (ED) visits to severe illnesses, and increased social distancing. The overall cumulative COVID-19-associated hospitalization rate was 151.7 per 100,000; rates were highest in people 65 years of age and older (412.9 per 100,000) followed by people 50-64 years (228.1 per 100,000). Weekly hospitalization rates among all ages first peaked during the week ending April 18 (MMWR week 16) at 10.1 per 100,000 population, followed by a second peak during the week ending July 18 (MMWR week 29) at 8.0 per 100,000 population. Data for the most recent weeks may change as additional admissions occurring during those weeks are reported. Non-Hispanic American Indian or Alaska Native persons had an age-adjusted hospitalization rate approximately 4.9 times that of non-Hispanic White persons. Rates among non-Hispanic Black persons and Hispanic or Latino persons were both approximately 4.7 times the rate among non-Hispanic White persons. Based on death certificate data, the percentage of deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza or COVID-19 (PIC) increased from week 26 – week 30 (weeks ending June 27 – July 25) after declining for 11 weeks since mid-April. The percentage of deaths due to PIC for week 33 is 7.8%, lower than the percentage during week 32 (12.6%), but above the epidemic threshold. These percentages will likely increase as more death certificates are processed. All surveillance systems aim to provide the most complete data available. Estimates from previous weeks are subject to change as data are updated with the most complete data available.

  28. Let's take that number compared to the 330,000,000 Americans. That would be a shade under 20,000,000 people. I hope that doesn't include someone you care about...

  29. I work in a manufacturing plant with over 1,000 union members where 80-90% refuse to wear masks or social distance. Our plant never shut down and has worked 10 hours per day 6-7 days per week since the coronavirus outbreak. We have had 5 people test positive for the coronavirus on two separate occasions. We have high tech temperature scanners for everyone who enters the plant. I observe hundreds of people playing cards at picnic tables each day during their breaks and lunch periods. They sit across from each other and no one is more than two feet from the other three workers. Our plant has had no further spread of the coronavirus during the past 3 and a half months. It would be interesting to conduct coronavirus antibody tests on the entire workforce. I would not be surprised if 50% or more tested positive. I suspect the workforce has developed herd immunity and that is the reason the virus has not spread for 3 and a half months

  30. House lawmakers introduce bipartisan resolution to condemn 'dangerous' QAnon conspiracy theory https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/25/politics/house-resolution-qanon-theory/index.html This resolution just proves the Q theory. Only a devil worshiping politician would push and support such a thing.

  33. Covington Catholic's Nick Sandmann: 'I Would Not Be Canceled' https://reason.com/2020/08/25/nick-sandmann-rnc-spech-republican-convention-covington/ And while many mainstream outlets—including CNN and The Washington Post—ultimately conceded that they got the story wrong, several ideological publications stubbornly kept to their initial judgments. Sandmann concluded his speech with an appeal for fairer media coverage and then donned his MAGA hat once again. It should surprise no one that someone in Sandmann's position would be pushed more firmly into Trump's orbit: That's what happens when the mainstream media positions itself as the opposition tribe, and then judges everyone outside that tribe as obviously and irredeemably racist on the thinnest of pretexts.

  35. Yeah. Love how you bashed Mike Kirschner for years. Kept calling for his dismissal, etc. Said nothing when he won two titles. Being bashed by DT when you're the HC at BD is common. Nothing's new. Same pot same stirring spoon.

  37. He will get at least one right this way. Probably a good strategy for him. Everyone will talk about replacing Wright, and for good reason, but I think how they are able to reload on the offensive line as a huge key in whether or not they can re-peat as conference and/or sectional champs.
