Uh, no. In 2019 Brock Combs dominated the 4A state title game on both sides of the ball, but was referred to as "Luke Combs" several times. Brock was a helluva football player, but he couldn't play guitar or carry a tune at all.3 points

LCC has no advantage. They had bad teams for years. Many Catholics in the area go to Jeff. About every 10 years they have some good players come through the system. I think public schools have gone down hill in the past 50 years, and the Catholic schools haven't changed. LCC can't seem to beat WL. Maybe we should just get rid of class sports. That might make everybody happy. LCC is in 2a and if they went to 3a they would probably never win. But that's what some people want.3 points

This does not matter. Mutiplier's do nothing but try to address a couple of teams because they had success, while punishing some others. Prime example how much more success has Gibson Southern had compared to Hammond Noll. Hammond Noll has won a grand total of like 3 games over the last 10 years. It is easy to just say "Slap a multiplier" and turn your head. Success Factor is a much better idea. The current success factor is flawed because it looks at 2 years only.2 points

I also think it is odd to have two GID accounts used to support your own misguided proclamations, but yet here we are.2 points

Catholics have more “athletes per capita” due to all of the calisthenics they do in mass. Stand, sit, kneel, sit, stand, walk to the alter, genuflect, walk back, turn and shake hands, sit, stand…Did I miss any? Now we know the real secret to their success.2 points

They are split to certain HS as feeder schools. West Deanery would be Cardinal Ritter, East would be Scecina Memorial, South Roncalli, and North Bishop Chatard. You also have long standing and legacy students that will go to the 2 Private Catholic schools Brebeuf Jesuit and Cathedral. Here are all the Deanery's https://www.archindy.org/parishes/deanery/index.html2 points

1.) There are Private / Parochial Schools with Special Needs programs. One I can name is Roncalli and their STARS program. 2.) You do realize there are more transfers out of Private/Parochial Schools to public than the other way around. Usually the student that transfers from Private/Parochial to Public gets an immediate sign off by the P/P school and on the flip side the rare occasion a student transfers from a Public to a Private/Parochial school there is no sign off by the Public forcing them to sit out a period of time. There are also a lot more Public to Public transfers especially in Indianapolis and surrounding counties1 point

The IHSAA “claims a monopoly” on broadcast rights in the same way you claim a monopoly on the sale of your home. You are entitled to the “monopoly” because you are the exclusive owner of the product. It’s the IHSAA’s tournament. They take the risk, they’re entitled to a reasonable return on their investment.1 point

You seem at least reasonably intelligent. Are you are really going to deny the difference in student populations and that it should merely be ignored and/or that it isn't a huge advantage in a enrollment only based system? To your earlier point, many family make this "sacrifice" based on educational opportunities.....that really doesn't matter at all. Whatever the reasons are it results in a completely different student population with drastically less deadweight. I am ok with all of that, but if we want the classes to be as close as we can get them to like for like.....this situation has to be accounted for. I think it says alot about the real motives of private parents who are staunchly against it.1 point

Drayk wasn’t used at running back as a starter till his junior year if that says anything I think it comes down to Hansen and bowen. And I think bowen is a little more important to his team and the state than Luke! I also think Brady Allen shouldn’t have won the award!!1 point

Also keep in mind Guerin was founded in 2004. So students from many of its feeder schools like: Our Lady of Grace, St Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maria Goretti have attended Brebeuf Jesuit, Chatard, and Cathedral over the years and some still do. Just like prior to Cathedral becoming a Private school they were a Deanery High School in Dowtown Indianapolis (Opened in 1919) long before the 4 current Deanery schools were built (earliest was Scecina built in the 60's) so there are a lot of legacy students that still attend Cathedral following family footsteps.1 point

Either way, stats are impressive and him winning the award apparently was the right choice. He's having a nice career at one of the Top 5 football programs in America.1 point

I have long wondered why the state final broadcast doesn't bring in the folks who have covered the team involved all year to the broadcast. Perhaps not as the main guy, the main play by play guy, but to add the knowledge of what the team does...who is who.. because I am amazed at how many times the wrong kid is named... and I know mistakes happen...and they don't really have much time to dive and research a whole season's worth of games. I know I'd much rather hear the voice of someone who really understands who the team counts on, who gets it done and what a team is about. I'd love a 3 man team....one from both sides and a neutral host.1 point

sounds like athletic transfer reasons to me which would be a no no by the IHSAA.1 point
