5A Sectional 12 has 3 teams in it. 3 Teams….one of which is Snider (whom I admire)…but still..3 freakin’ teams. I’m sorry but 5A as it stands today is a joke.

Sectional of Death will have a doozy of a first game with Chatard and Tipp Valley. Heights will likely have a safer path through the Valley of Death ... probably facing off against Chatard in the sectional championship game unless TV and Guerin have anything to say about it.

Maybe we should worry more about why Vincennes was in Memorials backfield so quickly, instead of worrying about about #4. Just absolutely can’t understand why you would get on here, and take a shot at a 16 yr old kid, but man that’s what some of you like to do. All great points. The penalty by liafau was huge as was the one on Blake Fisher. Didn’t see a scenario where Louisville would be the more physical and dominate team on both lines and that’s what they were. My 3 observations from last night and last few games in general. Offensive line has underperformed big time, tackling on defense by linebackers and safeties has been atrocious, and probably because of the 2 the Irish are very bad on 3rd/4th and short, can’t seem to convert or get a stop when they need it. Louisville was rocking last night. Jeff Brohm will be great there and will obviously get a ton of support. If his teams are going to consistently be that physical, and he’ll get athletes on offense, they could be very good for a long time.

Well, if you are going to fall, make sure it is a complete shit show. One player played well……the FG kicker. Outplayed and outcoached in every phase of the game Other thoughts Joe Alt’s stock dropped big time. The way he got pushed and tossed around is exactly what NFL DE’s will do. Number 8 Marist Liufau really stands out….and for all the wrong reasons. For 3 weeks I have seen him run into an o line when he blitzes, miss a LOT of tackles, and just does not read well. Several big runs tonight get beyond the 2nd level because he is out of position. The last TD run was a prime example….just ran into the pile and the RB ran right by where he had been. The 15 yard penalty on him was a killer penalty. No adjustments to routes run with the constant pressure L’Ville brought all night. Run the f’ing ball…and downhill. Why they abandoned the run so early is frustrating. 4th and 11 on your own 35? Are you kidding? Finally, the first interception of the game was a clear push off by the DB. You could clearly see Flores’ upper body move back with the push off. If that is called, it does not make a difference in this one Congrats to Coach Brohm and his whole staff. Fantastic game plan and execution.

Wasn't the same as what ? Not saying he wasn't 100% but what are you comparing his performance to? Has NP seen a defense as good as Penn's this year? NP has played 3 teams this year that have 1-7 records , 1 team that is 3-5 and 2 teams that are 4-4 . I know that Penn players don't look the same when they play Indianapolis Cathedral as they did when playing South Bend Adams is my point .

Speaking of streaming, Peacock needs to step their game up. I have You Tube TV and it's so easy to fast forward through the stoppage of play on a recorded game and not miss action. I didn't catch the Purdue/Illinois (Peacock only) game live and went back to watch it on demand. It's impossible to fast forward between plays or stops in action. You inevitably miss 1 or 2 plays while doing so.

Looking at the schedules this year of the schools from the "big school" division, Penn and Elkhart both full advantage of the available 4 non conference games, St. Joe played 3 teams from outside our conference and Marian played 4 teams from outside the conference for the first time this season. Each of these schools has to find 2 teams to drop, (Morton was a filler game for Penn, not sure about Elkhart). I think a fair compromise would be 6 game conference schedule and 3 non. This is forcing Penn to make a choice of Mishawaka or Carmel.... Or, Penn just needs to bite the bullet and go independent in football for the time being. I just don't see the benefit of going along with handicapping your schedule to play Washington and Riley (traditionally speaking) every year again.

I think its a splendid idea to cut the playing field in half after the officiating I saw friday night, it can't hurt to reduce the amount of games played, if not for any reason other than to keep these people off the field.
