  1. Muda's suggestion for Sheridan's field.

  2. Sectional 32 was as presumed. Brutal. 5 (or maybe 6) of those 8 teams could simultaneously be in the top 10.

  3. You would have to admit this is a false equivalency though correct? With the sheer size of rosters and number of rounds in the NFL draft compared to the NBA, its an apples to oranges comparison. I am not saying your statement is wrong, but how you are choosing to support your statement is. Just my two cents.

  5. Yeah, oil isn't cheap anymore either.

  6. Agree. I was thinking a 28-14 type game on an off year. That's not a slight on Harrison by any means. It's more of a testament of how good Indy suburban schools have become over the last 15 years. I like my idea better of sticking two FW teams in Indy and two in SB. That would have pushed Harrison to the northwest. Crown Point is no slouch, but that sectional would have been easier with Penn being pushed to SB/FW.

  7. Zionsville is 15-1 all time against Harrison (WL). Even a “bad” Zionsville outfit would give Harrison fits.

  8. Duly noted Fun trivia fact for you- outside of Memorial- who is the only other team in this sectional field to be moved up due to SF, and gained enough points to stay up the next classification go around??

  9. I don't know enough to rank any teams at this point, but I have to think HH is the favorite as the defending 3A South rep returning some tremendous players. GS and SR are always tough. Memorial should be solid if the QB is back. MD will be improved. Don't know what VL has coming back, but they lose a very good QB. MV and PCHS can't love this at all. If I understand the SF points correctly, if either HH gets back to LOS or EM wins a Regional, it would mean a bump up to 4A in 2025. And, as Titan32 previously said, GS could be 4A in the next reclassification. This could be a 1 or 2 year deal at most, so we fans better enjoy what will be a tough, tough sectional and some great HS atmospheres. I believe its the first time HH, GS, SR, MD and Memorial have all been in the same sectional.

  10. And reviving some old rivalries! Batesville might have something to say about that......again.

  11. I mean, looking at a map, it'd be hard to argue against those schools being in the same sectional, yeah? The splitting Indy like a pie, at least in 2A, 2 years ago was massively stupid.

  13. I think they did a good job with 6A North all things considered. Two sectionals comprise teams from the same general area. The other two are 3/1. Homestead is to Indy as Elkhart is to Fort Wayne. I'm not sure how they could have done it any better. Putting Harrison into Sectional 1 would have shifted another FW school to Indy. You would have two FW schools vs two Indy schools. Two SB schools vs two FW schools. From a fans perspective, that's what I was personally hoping for. But geographically, I can see why the IHSAA did what they did.

  14. The 6A "shift" is the oddest one to me....Harrison for Jeff, Snider for Warsaw, and everything else is basically status quo, this was apprently not what the IHSAA had in mind 5A makes sense to me as I fell IHSAA has always viewed Warsaw as "Fr Wayne adjacent" 😜

  18. We will see how things shake out. I think we will be solid with room to grow. Lots of new faces, with some 2 year starters sprinkled in. We have a nice schedule again to help us get ready.

  19. The split of Franklin and Whiteland in 5A south and placing Homestead with the 3 East Hamilton county schools are very odd for me.

  21. I missed the guy the beloved Bears took! He has a solid chance fo immediate PT. Montez Sweat is the only Edge the Bears have returning. I wasn't aware Steele entered the Draft. I'm surprised he didn't at least get a late round pick considering his size and strength as a short down back/receiver.

  23. No I agree it can't just be sheer numbers. The NFL has 257 draft picks and the NBA has 60 draft picks. 6 draft picks / 257 is about 2.3% and 1 draft pick / 60 is about 1.6%

  30. It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you of the death of Coach Spencer. Coach was inducted into the IFCA HOF in 2022. Former head coach of Tell City, Connersville, & Perry Central with assistant positions at Cannelton and Corydon Central. I had the honor of playing for Coach Spencer from '89-'92, where I learned the lesson of "Don't practice till you get it right, practice till you can't get it wrong" Thank you for everything Coach, you helped make me the man I have become.
