Everyone is playing for second, it will always be that way. Indy continues to grow while Fort Wayne sees minimum growth and the rest of the state remains stagnant. Has nothing to do with football, but if you know something about politics, then you already know. It's no secret that Indianapolis bleeds the tax system from the rest of the state to support their "we want to be like Chicago" agenda. Not that they want that kind of crime, but they want to be known as a MASSIVE metropolis at the expense of the rest of the state. Look no further than the casino that wanted to move to New Haven from Southern Indiana. Politics put an end to that in a hurry. That casino will end up somewhere in Indy. Basically, "if you want to transfer your license, you'll have to go where we tell you." I could go on and on, but I won't. This relates to football in that Indy Suburban schools will continue to grow and distance themselves from the rest of the state. There is no other option than playing for 2nd. Harsh, but true.

Interesting flex given that Indy's crime rate per 100K is higher than Chicago's.

I was trying to be nice. I know it's bad. But that's a consequence of growth. It's hard to control. Not sure why anyone would want to live in a city that size, but that's just me.

Violent crime rates are higher per capita in South Bend, Elkhart and Evansville than they are in Indianapolis.

Really gets rocking around the 2:45 mark.  I feel the sense of possibilities, I feel the wrench of hard realities.

Serious question here, who have they beaten? Dear God, please don’t mention Snider… Leo, by a long shot, is their best win and there isn’t crap after that…

Didn't folks say that last year and then they were led to State Finals by their 1st year HC at EN Alex Stewart, perhaps I am biased as he is Pal of mine, but EN has done nothing this year that says they are not ready for another run

23 thinks the winner of EN/Dwenger will make a run to Lucas so he is on board. I’m not there yet, would  like to get there though. Wondering if Leo can ruin that matchup

I think Mishawaka will be a tough out, but I have the winner of Dwenger/East Noble as the North's representative.

I knew East Noble was good last year. But the wasting of Dwenger 38-0 told me that the only thing stopping this team would be New Pal. I honestly don't know how good this years team is. Won't know until they play Dwenger again.

Where would the potential Semi-State games take place. Is there a significant “home field” advantage for any of the teams?

Yes siree!  When life gives you a second chance, you don't question it, you just take it and say "Thanks!"

You going?

First criteria is non-host for the sectional or regional.  This year the IHSAA has designated "Odd" sectional numbers as the regional tie-breaker.  Then Semi-State, the lower number has tie breaker.

Since Chatard is Sectional 22 and HH is 24, that means Chatard would lose a tie breaker to Yorktown (21 winner) but hold the tie-break against HH. Which is fitting, because @hhpatriot04 can tell you, the IHSAA always makes the Patriots play Chatard in Indy.  They never play in Lincoln City.

There are some pretty interesting predictions between the top teams in 4A this year compared to the top teams last year. I'll leave it at that.

Played there once. We committed seven turnovers, then we petitioned the IHSAA to play in Indy for the rest of time.

42-0. Never forget!

Yeah, apparently Chatard has someone responsible for spying opponents' cleat length during pregame.

Despite us opening our cafeteria to them so they could take Communion.

Oh the humanity.

Well that’s a bit harsh! I thought we were ganging up on the P/P’s…(although the 42-0 debacle WAS played in a mud bowl- in which longer cleats would definitely help hehehe)

I'm sure we will have our privilege to get our P/P beatdown up in Indy.  We have to make it there first....if we play like we did this last Friday night, we won't find our way out of sectional.

Not to fret the Bishop Chatard Trojans have a nice newish field on campus with field turf. Cleats won't need to be changed unless everyone wants to walk from Crittenden and Kessler to 61st and Compton to the field of champions. I am sure @Lysander could gather some pals to blow the dust off the bleachers and splice wires snipped from Arlington for the lights.😂😂

In that case I would bring 2 pairs of cleats and a pair of tennis shoes for the walk to the stadium.

I am sure everyone will be happy with playing on the turf at Crittenden and Kessler though.

My father and I went to the Mishawaka v Northwood game, it ended up being more of a game than we expected after the first half Mishawaka produced. Northwood stormed back, had their chances to tie, but Mishawaka responded and held firm in the end. They got a late sack fumble that was ran back for a TD.

They are lined up to face St. Joe, who has a heck of a defense and that game could be one heck of a sectional championship (assuming both teams take care of business on Halloween).

If your team in not in it anymore and you want to potentially see a great game I recommend Mishawaka/St. Joe.

I'd be all in if I weren't 2 hours away. That will be a good game.

I was at Leo last night. The lions hung tough for a quarter, but it was the Dwenger show after that. This will be a fun class to follow moving forward.
