  1. If that's true New Haven might as well begin the contraction process because they lost to the worst team in the SAC.

  2. I think it should be. As tough as that sounds. Zionsville is awarded the Sectional Championship so they get the win. McCutcheon is given a loss. I hate it for everyone involved, but that is the way it is.

  3. You miss me? Sorry, I have a job, have a management meeting every Wednesday morning. Very busy as well - one benefit (if you can call it that) of Covid is nobody is going to fly anywhere and most popular destinations are closed, so RV sales are through the %&#@-ing roof. Hoping your mother is doing well. Noteworthy (perhaps a learning moment for you) - we may have differing opinions on a variety of topics, but I can still hope you and yours stay well and healthy AND without telling you how to live your lives, while ignoring you telling me how to live mine. Additionally, the election is not over yet, but neither a blue or red wave has swept through the country.

  5. I don't think it is officially a forfeit. Dropping out for this reason should not penalize a team and counted as a loss.

  6. On a hot summer’s night in August of 1982 my favorite wrestling tag team was formed. In my eyes Strike Force is the greatest tag team known to man. Tito Santana and Rick Martel could beat up anyone one out there. Due to politics it took them until October of 1987 to win the tag team title. For years they had to take a back seat to lesser tag teams like the islanders and the Hart foundation, but they were patient and stayed the course. The WWF robbed them again shortly after, and fixed a match so Demolition could win the title. Strike Force would never hold the belt again and after a couple of years Rick Martel turned heel and left Tito high and dry and they eventually started their individual careers. I believe that championship title in 1987 catapulted MD football to what it is today. When the going gets tough the Wildcats think about everything Strike Force had to go through to win that title without the help of the WWF fat cats and they dig deep and get the job done. I can’t confirm with certainty, but I believe coach Goebel has broken out some old vhs tapes at halftime when MD is down just to show them the kind of heart Strike Force had...the heart of true champions. I hope the Miners think about that on Friday. Can they beat MD? Maybe. Can they beat MD AND Strike Force? No way

  8. There aren't any perry people that im aware of and im kind of a lone shark now!! Both games are/were at WW. Last year were both at PC. WW lead throughout in earlier game. Up 14-0....then 22-6 (halftime score i think). Kinda kept at a 14 pt advantage. WW is alot more run oriented then last year. We should win this game but playing a team twice is always weird. Our line is huge and thats always going to be a problem for a lot of teams. Hoping to get far and send this SR class out right. We have a ton

  9. Last year and this year have been East’s weaker teams in the last 10 years. They will have nothing to offer CG this year (most teams won’t anyways). CE is without Mark McDonald which prior to week 8 had around 1500 yards rushing and 25+ TD’s. Averaging 7.5 yards a carry. It didn’t matter this year who East had CG is just that much better. I hope for an injury free game and for everyone involved to have safe travels.

  12. Same for Heritage Christian. We were supposed to play Northeastern last week at home. They went virtual and had to forfeit. We are away at Shenandoah this week. Just as the original draw would have had us doing.

  15. If IHSAA treats COVID missed games as forfeits by the team that bows out, then it makes it easier as it would just be handled the way it always has been. Even if you didn't play, if you were scheduled to play at home you "won" a home game and if you were scheduled to be away you "won" as an visitor. The potential problem comes in with treating them as byes due to the way that IHSAA treats byes with the team with a bye being considered a visitor as there's a potential for two teams to end up with "byes" via COVID.

  17. On Election Night, the Real Winner Was Drugs https://reason.com/2020/11/04/on-election-night-the-real-winner-was-drugs/ This is heartening news for those of use who believe in personal freedom and responsibility; that government has no business telling an adult what they can or cannot put into their bodies. And Indiana is being left in the dust.

  20. So jealous of you right now. The Smokey Mountains is one of my most favorite places in the country. Making the run from Sevierville through Cherokee over to Maggie Valley is one of my favorite calls no matter the time of year. I have many great memories with my family and my customers down there. Missed going there this year.

  22. In my nearly six decades on this Earth I was witnessing a unity never seen before in this country especially after 9/11. I was for the first time feeling that equality was definitely within reach for everybody provided everybody put effort into it. Then along came Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama beating a drum proclaiming we were nowhere near that point of equality and basically erasing years of progress. And here we are today. In the country with the most freedom anywhere in the World, in order for the left to remain relevant, the need for a perpetual "underclass" that always needs rescuing from oppression is their only key to success by promising to rescue someone who doesn't need it. Everyone (myself included) is part of some contrived, oppressed, group of individuals that has been parsed out as "lonely and forgotten". Forgetting we live in the USA where the opportunity exists for everyone and anyone to make it.

  23. Yeah I thought NK taking that opening drive down and scoring.. then being up 12-0 at home... man.. I really though the Warriors were set up for a big win. A couple big things for the Wildcats--- fake punt to convert a long 4th down.... and of course that huge 80+ Pierre TD when it look like he was going down for a short gain. But prolly the big one was that 4th n short in MD territory that NK did not get late in game. If they coulda drove that one in... we might be looking at a Linton NK rematch. Obviously Mater Dei made some adjustments along the way defensively or NK would have just driving down the field every possession. 23-19 is really how I look at that game.. more representative of how it went... and who knows if the Warriors had taken back the lead on that failed 4th down... and jumpe up 25-23, or 26-23, or with a 2 point play 27-23... if they coulda kept MD from scoring that 30th point. I thought NK did themselves proud.

  24. It was a fantastic game. I was really impressed with the way the North Knox offense came out and took it to MD in the 1st quarter. It looked like MD was going to be in for a long night if they couldn't get their defense off the field. Hats off to North Knox. That was a very good team. Congrats on a very good season.

  26. My dad played at Seeger in the early 60s. When we played there in 2004, ran into a guy that worked the chains when he played. Still like to see the Patriots do well, but I won't go against a WeBo team with a Weakley on the roster.

  27. You are absolutely correct. If we don't show up (like we did against Tri-West), if we make mistakes (like we did against Danville), then Seeger could knock us off.. There is always that chance. It should be a good game. I feel our schedule has prepared us to play teams like Seeger. My wife's family still lives in Warren County. LOL. I have heard this story from a Webo Coach that was there that night with several Sheridan (and former Sheridan) folks. I have heard about the Cook catch several times.

  30. Congrats on beating the hell out of the powerful CIC. I don't think their trophy case is going to look much different after this season though. The problem isn't the facts. It's that you don't know which facts are relevant. Winning trumps stats every day of the week.

  32. So Happy for friend Coach Funk!!! Way to stick with it Fishers!!!

  33. Fishers over HSE was an upset. HSE led 21-7 at halftime, but Fishers came back to win 34-29. HSE had beaten Fishers 21-9 in the regular season. Fishers had been pounded in their prior two games by Westfield, 45-6, and Zionsville, 38-7. Perhaps HSE having that last regular season game at Brownsburg cancelled because of COVID cases at HSE hurt them more than having two straight weeks with no games helped them?

  34. I think the biggest takeaway so far is the IU defense. They've been up to the task every week. I remember years ago, when every team would just score at will on the Hoosiers. IU would have to score 40+ to win. Tom Allen has changed that since he's been on campus. This could be the best defense IU has had in a long time. They're creating turnovers and limiting big plays. The offense still has some improving to do. Especially that offensive line. No push on a lot of those run plays. Early in the game, Penix was under a lot of pressure. They got it going a little later.

  35. Well even though I didn't get to see Eastbrook play all season (thanks Covid), I am skeptical that this QB was the player he was built up to be on here. I was told Eastbrook was pretty much better across the board this season and they don't even make the sectional championship game after making the semistate (once) or state (thrice) each of the last four years. Something doesn't add up. Not sure the Eastbrook fans here fully appreciated what they lost from last season. Hopefully that means Tipton is that good. As I mentioned before, they've had some bad luck and unfavorable brackets in recent years. They deserve a good run. Also, blaming the officials is becoming somewhat of a habit for some.

  36. Washington Forfeits the sectional championship to Sullivan. Both teams were going to be playing for their first football sectional championship. This gives Sullivan their first sectional championship in football. https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/high-school/2020/11/04/class-3-a-sectional-30-title-game-canceled-washington-enters-quarantine/6166090002/
