You know, maybe @Titan32 is sad. Lots of us are sad about this very thing. We, HH, GS, SR, etc get generational players like Brady Allen, we had Jay Culter, etc and it takes that guy to lead a team to state only to get steamrolled by Chatard. For us it is a special player every 10 or 20 years, for Chatard it is yearly. Titan32 (who I really do like, sometimes he thinks I am stabbing at him, I'm not, I'd love to sit down and break bread with him some time) is secretly happy that Chatard was in 4A the year they won state. He won't admit that and frankly, I don't blame him....he will probably make the statement, "I wish Chatard would have been in 3A that year so we could beat the best", which is the same thing I would say and we would both be fibbing. Heritage Hills is 1-8 against Chatard and the year we beat them, we didn't win state that year. I will be honest here...we have generational talent on this team at the underclassmen level. We are a decent team now and next year should be great and should only get better over the next couple years--I am glad that Chatard won't be there next year or the year after with their yearly team to just win another state title in 3A. If T32 is honest he feels the same way because we are both likely going to have to beat each other to get there over the next couple years and we want a decent game.3 points

You are making the assumption that all those kids have to pay all that tuition, which is likely wrong (at least for some). I have a friend whose daughter was sought after by a private high school over around Louisville (volleyball), not only would she NOT have to pay the tuition, he could have been set up with a great job. They decided to stay at our po dunk "high school in the cornfield" and she had to settle for playing college volleyball at IU. The last thing I would do is defend BC but it may not be like you think.3 points

Typical IU loss. Playing decent then opening play of 2bd quarter blocked punt for a TD and they trailed the rest of the way. Truly no hope for IU with Allen as head coach. Wait, they will always have their epic celebration of beating Akron in overtime…1 point

Crazy stat for you guys. This is the first time in HHC history that every HHC team will be playing in the second week of the postseason.1 point

Hobart at New Prairie - Well this did not turn out like I had thought going into it. NP gets a running clock for the second straight year against the brickies, Hobart was a combined 15-5 going into the games the last 2 years; not exactly roll-overs. Field conditions played a part as it was borderline mud bowl between the hashes. Good to see the offense get back in their groove and the defense again gives up an early TD but played phenomenal the rest of the way. Washington at Plymouth - Congrats to Washington picking up a come from behind win. Not easy when you haven't had the best year and staring at the end of your football season. NorthWood at St. Joseph - Looked like this was pretty competitive for a quarter and half and then NW just went on a role. Thought the final score would be a little bit more competitive. So the questions is: Is Northwood finally living up to their pre-season hype? I don't know but maybe they caught a break playing this week on a turf field instead of the natural grass of Andrews. Riley at Wawasee - Don't know how I feel about Riley this past season. Congrats on winning a conference title, but going out round 1 to a 1-8 team has to feel like you lost a lot of momentum for your program that was built through the first 9 weeks. Anybody know what Riley has coming back and what the future looks like? Jimtown at Fairfield - Jimtown, Jimtown, Jimtown 3-9 vs sanctioned teams and their best win is against a mediocre Bremen squad. First losing season since 1979. Buago boys have lost some luster lately; maybe getting back into the "NSC" is exactly what the doctor ordered the Jimmies. Clay at Glenn - Glad Clay could sneak out 3 victories this year. Crazy that just a little over a decade ago they were a competitive program. I mean what did South Bend think was going to happen when they were titled the "performing arts" school. Marian at West Noble - Would of been a nice win for the Knights. Anyone have the details in this battle? seemed liked Marian was primed for an upset and then WN snuck it out in the end. Bremen at Bishop Noll - Not much to say about this one. Bremen should be fighting for their lives next week.1 point

Vandy VdWielen " As an administrator of IHSAAtv.org, I think I'm in a position to comment. All schools, who are IHSAAtv affiliates are allowed to stream their sectional and regional games. They are exempt from having to pay rights fees. In fact, there are over 150 Indiana high schools who do! Some schools have decided to go at it independently. In those very isolated instances, they are not allowed to stream on social media such as youtube, facebook and etc. All games must air only on IHSAAtv.org. This decision was implement to prevent unsuspecting fans from following the thousand of phishing and spam links."1 point

Then I’m sure it was as they took 4 of them. The problem started when the ref blew an early whistle when the QB wasn’t down yet. That started the events that took so long to figure out. They then replayed the down but Andrean coaches and fans didn’t seem to understand that1 point

Ironic, isn’t it, that you’re criticizing the officiating crew for poor communication? 😂🤣😅1 point

The "popcornality" of the comments made within this thread.... AND the absolute hi-jacking of it for the mere fact that it could be done... Sometimes makes it worth just killing an afternoon reading postings. Now I'll get back to eating that popcorn, and re-read this thread. 😁1 point

Well let’s start with the refs weren’t not good.. Now back to the last 1:35 of the game. Laville got the ball back with 1:35 left and Andrean had 1 timeout left… one would think game over right well refs made that 1:35 last 35 minutes with mistakes. 1st down Laville kneels and Andrean uses last time out. 2nd down 1:32 left on clock Laville goes to kneel but Plummer stays up as long as possible to use time and ref blows whistle early.. (all hell breaks loose after this). After much discussion it’s a reply of 2nd down but Andrean coach and fans must have not got the memo as they think it’s 3rd down. 3rd down(Andrean thinks it’s 4th down) Laville takes another kneel but again Plummer this time runs around to waste enough time that to put the clock at 40 seconds (enough as play clocks so game will be over when whistle blows to start game clock). Andrean then runs our field goal unit thinking it’s a turnover on downs when it’s not and thus began the 25 minute discussion because Andrean coach doesn’t understand and refs didn’t explain very well.. 4th down now and Laville runs out clock and Andrean goes ape shit because didn’t understand as refs didn’t horrible job of last 1:35 of game1 point

He will and has. No sadness here as a person who has given all I have to the program (not just taken). My only emotion with regard to this thread is disdain for the inability of the IHSAA to fix the broken system in Indiana and my continued disbelief with folks like you who continue to defend it. Enjoy your purchase.1 point

I know this is a forum of “I told you so’s” - so here ya go. This whole MD has played the gauntlet of SIAC schools so they’ll be ready for a run to State might be a bit premature. NP had a running clock vs TC in the 3rd quarter.1 point

Congrats to FC and their staff. Lost 38-6 three weeks ago to the South Dearborn.... Don't see many teams come back after a loss like that and win the tournament rematch! They controlled the game and just were more physical then SD all night long. Good Knight....1 point

TV has some big kids and a few kids with speed. They played tough in the first quarter. The inability to pass (Int on their first real throw) and a fumble the only time they crossed the fifty (until late in the fourth against the BCHS back up defense) looked like it sapped their emotion. It seemed like the Chatard coaches made some defensive adjustments and I’m not sure if TV had 100 yards of offense until late in the fourth quarter (when the score was already 40-0). Their best RB was apparently in a boot for most of the week and I am sure that had an effect on their performance. On the other side of the ball, Chatard's starting QB was back after a 5 week absence and had to knock some rust off in the first quarter. After he settled down he threw two beautiful touchdown passes. The defense (the strength of this team) got stingy and the offensive line began to wear down the TV defense. They mixed throws and runs very effectively and a team will have to defend sideline to sideline against them as well as vertically. As I have said many times, it will take a very good offensive team to drive a ball the length of the field against this defense. They might give up a big play or two at some point but that will not be the norm. Offensively they have been pretty safe with the ball and haven’t self destructed (like the did against GC last year in the regular season). Look for next week to be BCHS 28-GC 0. Chatard will be entering the game healthy and their #1 RB may actually play (he has been out 6 weeks). Tonight their RB off the future, a freshman, carried the load on the last drive and scored his first varsity TD. This team is deep.1 point

That’s fair…the best days are the days you buy one and the day that you sell it …lol. Still a better value than a ring acquired via manufactured worthiness. My piece of mind and the love of Jesus are free….feels good.1 point

My youngest son was the starting RB (and slot) on our State Championship team two years ago as a Sophomore. It's a much bigger deal when a little public in a cornfield gets a ring. You wouldn't get it. Man....that was an expensive ring. It would have made a great boat. I can't even get a Burrito and a Coke for what I have in mine. Jesus still loves us for FREE!!!!1 point

While I'm sure every Chatard and TV fan is thrilled to be on a long list of threads that are hijacked by conversations about unrelated Cathedral nonsense, why don't you guys take it to another thread so we can get back on topic.1 point

Greenfield is such a cool success story. Should give others hope. 0-10 just 6 years ago losing by an average of 33 points per game.1 point

Why would that be? Could it be because their starting QB is still out and recovering? Some nerves setting in? Would think the might Titans wouldn't care how the draw fell as they will walk through it to Lucas Oil Stadium. This is fun, now I see why Titan32 comes into our SIAC threads to throw shade on HS kids! Now back to my Sectional 24/SIAC sectional thread.1 point

“Well let’s start with the refs weren’t not good..” “it’s a reply of 2nd down” “Laville takes another kneel“ “Andrean then runs our field goal“ “Andrean goes ape shit because didn’t understand as refs didn’t horrible job of last 1:35 of game“ If the referees were no better than the gibberish you wrote, they must have been very bad, indeed, Mr. Member.0 points
