5A - Anderson (277) over Indianapolis Cathedral (12) 6A - Arsenal Tech (244) over Southport (213) - This game will be be my salvation, I can feel it.3 points

Another very strange aspect of this play. Alexandria had 12 players on the field prior to the snap. The 12th player was able to get before the snap thus now foul. If he had stayed on the field not gotten off before the snap, it would have been a double foul. There would still be an untimed down, but it would have been from the previous spot! In a very strange rule anomaly, Alexandria would have benefited by fouling during the play!3 points

If many folks here would be at the local yocal discussing these wonderful topics, it would be fun and information filled because body language and tone are key aspects to communications and sadly this medium does not give such opportunity then sometimes it gets sideways, but as Temp has said many times I have seen, "We probably have more in common than you realize".1 point

This was way before I caught on...... then I gave you the -1,00,000,000 reputation and then it was all gravy since Not so much, but he took the time to start every tournament thread, for each class and has been committed to weekly thread along with the new and super exciting ELIMINATOR playoff thread, those were the reasons I sent the PM as since my days from computer lab to el ed pe, I have not the time I once did to do many of the things I used to do and conversation flowing stuff. Does the back and forth with Temp and some of our longer tenured members is stale, at least to me, but remember been helping out for about 15 years now, so overseeing the constant is same ole same ole just different names this round from the last previous years. can't make everyone happy in an online community like this, I understand and appreciate Gonzoron and his williness to link up theads, but also understand where the satuation of it could turn into negative for some, especially, IMO, in 2025 this medium is not as heavily trafficed like it was 15 yars ago ..... before MANY other social communication availablilies.... Just to name a few things throughout the threads Try to be fair and understand to all. never will bat 1000 but trying to keep things flowing positivilty and upward, which has always been the mission around here. SEE: LOVE THIS. Here is another fake negative 1000 points for you sir, You've earned them well1 point

Get well soon, if both teams get by this Friday the NP/Cathedral game is going to be special even if only for the hype and I personally want as many true football fans in attendance as possible. Could be the last one for me with a Dragon on the turf!1 point

It was the perfect storm for them..sf cleared the way for them to a blue ring that year..sadly the cadets had teams with alot more talent that never made the bus ride to indy..Their feeder program is almost non existent n those Lutheran families aren't as prevalent as they were in the late 90's..1 point

Well, there's been a lot of talk lately, at all levels, that a coach is only as good as his quarterback. When Concordia won state that year, they had this kid named Peter Morrison. Head coach was Tim Mannigel. He had some solid teams, took a one year break in 2021 before coming back. They were pretty bad in 2021, and Mannigel just hasn't been able to get them back to where he had them. Reason? No idea. But it does seem like the better athletes in Fort Wayne are bouncing around from team to team. North Side and Northrop seem to winning the recruiting wars as of late. No one really says "I want to send my kid to Concordia" to play football. They say that about Snider, Luers, Dwenger, Carroll, and Homestead. Suddenly Northrop is getting their lions share of athletes, took two from Luers this past season. It's a free for all.1 point

Probably just talking to myself here, but 2nd round games for the rest of conference are: LaVille @ North Judson: I could see LaVille giving Judson problems in this one. They only lost in week 2 against them by 7 points. NJ has played a 1A heavy schedule since then while LaVille has tested themselves against the bigger INSC schools. Will it pay off? Rensselaer Central @ Bremen: RC has an 8-2 record with some really nice wins against LCC, Kankakee Valley, and Logansport. Tough game for the Lions.1 point

I don't think our kids or coaches talk about old history in an effort for motivation. We know who we are this year and we know who you are this year....that's all the motivation needed.1 point

I can't answer why the egg laying in the title game , but in 2017 Penn beat Carmel in the semistate much worse than BD beat them a few weeks earlier . We all know what happened in the title game, it makes no sense .1 point

My understanding is, since the tournament is run by the IHSAA, unlike regular season games which belong to the host schools, it’s an insurance thing.1 point

A reasonable person on a committee would look at both teams (Crown Point and Fishers) and see that those 2 losses that Fishers had were 49-24 to 6A #2 Carmel (8-1 lone loss to Trinity Louisville KY) and 42-14 at 6A #1 Brownsburg (9-0). They will take into account that Fishers was 6-3 playing the #1 SOS in Indiana and Crown Point was 9-0 playing the 31st SOS in Indiana. They will account that Fishers opponents were 49-32 on the year and Crown Points opponents were 37-45. They will see that every opponent Fisher played was in 6A and they played 5 of 9 opponents that were ranked in the top 10 (going 2-3). They will see Crown Point played 3 6a schools, 5 5A schools, and 1 4A school none were in the top 10 of 6A, 2 were in the top 10 of 5A (Merrillville at #3 and Michigan City at #9), and 1 was top 10 in 4A (#9 Lowell). There would be a lot more to look at than just "Fishers lost in blowouts in 2 games", they could also look into opinions would the result be different if Crown Point played Carmel or Brownsburg. You will die on that mountain won't you? Even though I pointed out this: Westfield beat HSE at HSE 21-17 in 4 full quarters HSE beat Carroll FW at HSE 14-7 in 4 full quarters1 point

We get it , for some reason you hate Penn . That's your opinion and your welcome to it .Yes Penn has struggled in the last 20 years , but they still played in 2 title games in the last 10 years . How many title games has Fishers , HSE , Crown Point and 80% of the rest of 6A played in the last 10 years . In 2023 Penn lost by a point to the state runner up . In 2017 they waxed Carmel 34-7 , handing the Greyhounds one of their worse losses of the year . Hardly written on a typewriter . If I were you , I would worry about your Almer Mater . After this year , they haven't done anything in 7 years .1 point

Let me just say THIS. At my Round One game last night. May as well have been a Cheech and Chong situation with the smell of WEED emitting on and around the field. DAMN!!! It was thick. I am actually kinda worried that I may not pass a drug test if given on Monday. 😗1 point
