I usually spend most Friday nights and Saturday mornings watching several games from around the state on IHSAAtv. With Carroll, Dwenger, and Luers all playing this Friday, I was looking forward to flipping between games, or watching on multiple devices. Then I noticed that every game this week is being broadcast exclusively on IHSAAtv. No problem, I figured I’d just buy the package that lets you watch all the games. But when I checked the IHSAAtv website, that option wasn’t listed anywhere. After getting excellent help from Heath Shanahan at the IHSAA, I learned that you can purchase the package by selecting the Carroll/Westfield game, logging in, and then choosing the “all 12 games” option for $20. A single-game purchase costs $12 and some change. Hopefully IHSAAtv updates the site to make the “all 12 games” option easier to find, but I wanted to share this info for any Indiana high school football fans planning to watch from home. Enjoy the games, and good luck to all the teams!9 points

Heard a wild stat the other day, in his last 5 home games, Mendoza has 21 TD’s and 16 incompletions. How ridiculous is that?!2 points

Good grief..............back to the game. Didn't I do that in the Headlines thread?2 points

Stinky, Stink, Stink 1.2..3... Gibson rolling to Cascade with a new QB Oh wait - Cascade rolling with a new DC!!! Stinktown put up 33, so I can only imagine what GS points will be! A win is a win and GS does not care, cause the DC will be watching from a chair! Cascade better enjoy it while they can, cause there is nothing left after this year my friend! Cadets got the Tigers, but the Tigers will be back....that is the difference between a program with tradition and one that is WACK!2 points

Just did a quick follow up. Apparently, enough folks complained, and the game was moved to Paycor. Mods feel free to delete.2 points

Personal opinion - any team that gets moved up a class (or more) and wins a sectional should not get to drop back down a class. They’ve proven they can compete and find “success” in a class above their enrollment classification. No team should be eligible to drop back down a class until they do not win at least a sectional. They should stay up until they lose a sectional. It is silly to me to let a team drop to a lower class when they’ve been winning in a higher class. Barr-Reeve’s principal was the driving force behind the rule change to 3 points so their highly successful volleyball team (which has been success factored from 1A to 3A but couldn’t win a state championship in 3A) could move back a class to 2A. Wouldn’t you know it, Barr-Reeve volleyball dropped to 2A for the current cycle, won a regional last year, and a state championship this year. Don’t be surprised if there is a push to move the point total back up to 4 points to stay up a class after the Vikings don’t win 3A the next two years.2 points

One thing that gets often overlooked at this point is just the uniqueness of Brownstown's offense (and the level at which they can run it). There is absolutely NO WAY to replicate it in practice, and generally takes AT LEAST a few series to get your barring's about you on defense...and by that time, it could be 14-0, maybe 21-0. Give me the Braves and Coach May finally gets his trip to the State Finals.1 point

No wonder Roncalli is so good this year, with all that Dale Indiana and SamtaClause Indiana influence!1 point

Heard that Lapel’s back 7 defensive guys are very, very good. Which is to be expected at this point in the tournament. They have any/many guys playing both ways?1 point

You could make the case that the NFL already has an impact with the number of players that have been opting out of the postseason games in recent years. That said, the other leagues I mentioned are pretty much hands off with their players in college.1 point

It was said a bit tongue and cheek, but maybe there's some merit to it. I'd be interested to see what statistical advantage teams within one hour to LoS over those from farther away.1 point

I have a hard time picking against a team that beat Carmel and took out Fishers by double digits. While this Charger team is pretty good, and I'd argue as good as the team that went to state a few years ago, I think the defense is a bit suspect at times and that will probably be the difference. Carroll will score points, no doubt about that, but they'll be playing from behind most of the game. I'll say Westfield by 10.1 point

It's all about Education! You put Snider FRONT and CENTER on education in your retort! Sports are extracurricular. Let's not lose sight of that little "intangible".1 point

According to my receipt from Hudl (IHSAAtv uses Hudl for subscription payments), access to those games ends on July 1, 2026 at 12:00 am EDT.1 point

@23andCounting can you break down and make a pick on the Westfield/Carroll contest?1 point

Snider vs Homestead in academics? Are you kidding me? Why on earth would I want to do that? Honestly, I can't give you a resource backing my claim. I found something one or two years ago that showed Snider having a higher academic rating than the other FWCS's. I'll take your word for it.1 point

THIS. You give coach Hart an extra day to prepare for a game, you may as well not even show up. QB1 or no QB1.1 point

The best version of Success Factor: Cannot be bumped unless you've won on Thanksgiving weekend (seems obvious....but IHSAA gonna IHSAA) Rolling 2 year cycles (has been added) 2 points to "Stay" (we used to have that...winning your sectional each year isn't good enough to stay up?) No P/P in 1A (😇...hate me if you want. It's the right call)1 point

This is an example of a flaw in the system. No way a team should move up having not won a title.1 point

They were in 3A last year. The SF points start over when you move up to a new class, but once you're there, the points continue to accumulate, even if you move up due to enrollment in Year 2 of the cycle. If Luers wins this week, they'll be in 4A the next two years.1 point

Agreed, Luers playing will split the cyo crowd although i think BD will have standing room only friday night.1 point

I have been following this for a few months now. Have to admit it seemed pretty grim. But he went in for surgery at 5am and posted this around 2:45 today. It's been inspiring to see him remain so positive though the whole ordeal. Continued prayers through recovery Bernie.1 point

I was JUST getting ready to ask about field conditions??? Please tell me this game is being played on turf?? It’s a shame if not- a championship level game shouldn’t be played in the slop1 point

Yep. Nobody is happy with how that went down. Still a chance that both South Putnam and Providence move up next year.1 point

The Monon Bell game is this weekend. IMHO in some regards it is more "real football" than any B10 game.1 point
