  1. or flip side, they hired a relatively young, experienced HC who has multiple State title appearances both as an Assistant and HC and want to build around THAT guy for years to come.

  8. Jan 18- 19. 11 am arrival on Jan 18 needed, will be dismissed at your convenience on saturday . Room volunteers introduce speakers, make announcements, make headcounts, and communicate issues to Glazier Staff. I do my best to make sure you see every speaker that you want to see, but there is a chance that you would need to work a room w/ a speaker that is not your first/2nd choice. You will share the hotel room, 2 bed, w/ another coach. This is for a free hotel room on Friday night only. Glazier will give you a free individual season pass, free hotel room, Glazier Gear, and about $50 for food. Let me know if you have any other questions and whether you want to work. This is a great networking opportunity and learning opportunity. Being a room volunteer can create a relationship w/ some of the best speakers in the country. https://www.glazierclinics.com/Coaching_Clinics/Indianapolis-Indiana-Football-Clinic

  9. Hammond Bishop Noll, Wood Memorial, and Trinity Lutheran are all IHSAA tournament eligible and have played football in recent seasons. Trinity looks like it will not play, so they most likely will not be included in the upcoming classification and sectional alignment for 2019-20 and 2020-21. Bishop Noll and Wood Memorial are the 2 that would need to express their intentions to play in either year of the next cycle. If they plan to play, even if it is only 2020-21, then they will be included in the classification and sectional alignment. I would imagine both will plan to play so they can be included in the alignment, which will mean 322 football teams. 32 in 6A, 34 in 5A, and 64 in 4A-1A. That means Bedford NL and Huntington North will be added to your 5A list, Yorktown and Danville move up to 4A, South Vermillion and F.W. Luers to 3A, and Taylor to 2A. Add Noll to 2A and Wood Memorial to 1A.

  10. Anybody who knows anything about football knows Coach Ech can flat-out coach. He's a Pike graduate and former DC for a state runner-up team at Pike and knows the school and the community. He took Eastern Hancock to the State Finals and then had a lot of success at Zionsville despite being the smallest school in one of the top conferences in the state. He does a tremendous job developing players and his teams are very difficult to play against. Had an incredibly good New Pal not beaten them in the sectional this year (which was a one-score game on multiple occasions in the second half), I'm pretty convinced Zionsville would've been playing in Lucas Oil this year. As a Pike alum, I'm excited to see Coach Echeverria at the helm. Probably Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney. Anything else is settling.

  11. If you are attending the Glazier clinic please have 2 name tags printed and cut out. If you pre-print and cut out your name tag you can substantially decrease your registration wait time. https://www.glazierclinics.com/Coaching_Clinics/Indianapolis-Indiana-Football-Clinic Its not too late to register if you want to attend.

  12. Don't they play Vanderbilt at R-A the week prior? The TCU would be a good game to watch at R-A, but will have to watch from home (Waco, TX), and I will be pulling hard for the Boilers (my alma mater). TCU is from the conference "that doesn't like to play D", so I think Purdue could keep the scoreboard clicking. TCU offense was a mess with injuries, so if they don't pull it together, could get ugly for them. If Purdue could become a little more consistent I think the game would be a lock for them. My daughter attends Baylor (graduating in May), so I'm a fan of their fb program. TCU is practically a four-letter word here, and there was lots of bad blood between Patterson and Briles. Personally can't stand Patterson. Hope Purdue hangs 7, 8 or more TD's on 'em.

  13. That has been discussed here as nauseam and is a splendid thought, particularly with the Southridge/Washington flip. That said, there is no way in Hades that the PAC membership gives two squats about what happens to the former Big 8 teams. Their conference isn’t broken in their minds, therefore why touch it.

  14. Glad to see this come to pass - FINALLY - Should've been done back when the original plans were done in 2004 -2005 that the Amish community turned down.......fearing a tax increase.......that didn't happen after the new school was built.....🤬

  15. Funny thing about conferences...NO one cares about anyone’s interest other than their own. Keep that in mind as we continue to blue sky solutions that have zero chance of coming to fruition.

  18. I think you have 3A-6A correct. I have: 1A = Winimac - Deaf School 2A = Monrovia - Taylor (+Pioneer) 3A = Bosse - Luers (+Southridge) 4A = Greenfield Central - Danville (+Ev. Memorial) 5A = Jeffersonville - Huntington North (+Dwenger, +New Pal) 6A = Carmel - Valpo (+Columbus East)

  24. Coach Ech was also the Dc for the 2007 state runner up Pike team. So having worked at Pike already he knows the pros/cons of the school and program. Getting to coach a 6A MIC school that you attended seems like a great opportunity for him and Pike.

  25. I assume this has been discussed on here before, but the two Elkhart high schools (Central and Memorial) are due to merge starting for the 2020 season which is the 2nd season of this classification. Each high school has about 1600 students and should be in 5A for next season. Combined in 2020, their attendance would be in the top 10 in the state and put them solidly in 6A. How is this going to be handled?
