It is called "sarcasm" and in not an infrequent tool on these forums. 17 posts in and you are tossing out the "recruiters" trash. Weak. You are off to an inauspicious debut.3 points

Maybe so, and I won’t contest the quality of GS’s ground game but my guess is that in playing both Cathedral and Roncalli, Brebeuf has played against the biggest and most highly regarded O-lines (and running games) in the state outside of Center Grove. Roncalli’s offensive line could easily be mistaken for a MAC team’s line when you see them match up. In watching the Brebeuf/WL game it seemed that when WL came out in the 2nd half and tried to (conservatively) establish a ground game that Brebeuf was able to handle that fairly easily and WL lost all their momentum. I still think that in a prospective State Championship game between GS and Brebeuf the difference is going to be whether Brebeuf can contain Allen and his receivers.2 points

Don’t pay any attention to that GS love fest. Every year they think they have Barry sanders, emmitt smith, and Tom Brady on their team. When they don’t make it to state they get real quiet…and hope no one remembers all the comments they made about being as good as Alabama or Ski. Most of them think they should have won at least 30 football state titles in the last 9 years.2 points

It always is, but my experience with using USF is that it really isn't the most conducive arena to HS FB. Terrible sight lines, and not a good experience for visiting teams with the seating arrangement. But, yes it could and is an option in this situation in the FW area.1 point

I just got to re-reading this and I completely agree. Was the SAC “down” last year when Homestead and Dwenger went 8-1 in the league? Carroll was 7-2, Snider 5-4 and Luers 3-6. This year you got 3 teams 8-1 one 6-3 and the other 5-4. I’m no expert but i personally thought this season was much more competitive.1 point

South Putnams has been my choice and still is. I think the Eagles will run on The Woofs and slow down their offense. 2nd and foremost The Woofs don’t like to get hit and South Putnams is usually a physical team. I gotta go1 point

Luers has 2 weeks to get ready for Eastside at home. Dwenger will also be at home vs Snider that week. So does Luers risk playing Eastside on a Sloppy field or are they looking for another SAC team to rent out a turf field in 2weeks.1 point

Agreed. Though it would be nice to see South Carolina or Clemson put them on the schedule. Speaking of App State, I had a brief stop in Boone, NC, a few years ago on my way to a mountain bike ride on the Virgina / North Carolina / Tennessee border up in the mountains. Very nice college town completely immerged in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The bar I stopped at had a very nice memorabilia wall dedicated to their win at the Big House.1 point

Oh wow. Well that takes it from something funny to something… extra. I guess they were just following Reb08’s lead? 😀1 point

Before you make drunk comments before bed maybe you should click to see who is making the comments about GS this year…(Hint: it’s the other teams fans who are the most bold)1 point

The Jasper offense scheme can be debated for its weaknesses until forever. All offense have weaknesses. And all types of offensive schemes can go deep into the tournament and win. Good coaches put in what they think would be good ,with the abilities of the players they have to work with ,in any given year. That said. 5 turnovers has “L” written all over it. If they were playing a weaker team maybe you don’t lose. But another good team took advantage. In hindsight Jasper has a very good team.1 point

Man the caliber of opponents this year and the added high school play calling by Indiana has done the team morale in. Could not have been a better perfect storm to doom this team. From the first game ass kicking, Allen was never able to put the team back on track, grasping for straws all the way. And to think temptation was saying they would win 6 or 7 games. He must have reach for the wrong pipe.1 point

Culver usually gives Winamac issues. The T formation is tough to stop at times, Culver also does a pretty good job at taking their time and usually using the play and game clock to their advantage when its tied or when they are up. Its when they get behind a score or two they are in trouble cause they don't throw very well. Winamac had also missed the two previous weeks. It'll be a battle this week and an uphill battle for Winamac if the Warriors get to Semi State. Monroe Central and Adams Central are both solid teams.1 point

Shoot, my apologies I must have fat fingered it. I meant to say 67-1…no way MD scores 66, that would be silly. I forgot to add that after the game LS gives coach G a key to the city and promises to put up a statue of him.1 point

Pick your poison…cause I don’t believe they have tackled RBs as big as Lukeman or Dickerson either.1 point

We will see. As a Purdue fan, I hope they are that dominant because that makes Brady Allen look all the better (and after today, a promising quarterback would be a welcome sight). That said, it's rare for a team from that part of the state to be competitive at the state level, let alone dominant. Usually when they have to play Indy-area teams, it's game over.1 point

I understand where you may think I am out to lunch on the Eastbrook vs Tipton game being 31. I just believe it may be a trap game where Tipton plays 2 of the weekest cic teams to be in the final. Eastbrook plays 2 solid non conference teams to get in the post season mode! We will see and maybe I am wrong on total win spread but who knows good luck to all! 😉1 point

Lol, Luers 8-1 record this year has nothing to do with the SAC being down. Homestead has three losses this year because Snider, Carroll, and Luers have trended up. If the latter three programs were the same as last year, Homestead would be undefeated again. At the very minimum, the SAC is as good as they were the previous two years. Homestead and Dwenger being down this year doesn't qualify the SAC as being down since the other big three are having up years. The Spartans are "down", but not by very much.1 point

Let’s just say you don’t see the stuff they do with other programs in the conference. They behave like children with no impulse control. It’s a sign of weakness.0 points
