  1. October Brownsburg strikes again… Running back has carried the ball 22 times for nearly 170 yards and you have an 18 point lead with 9:12 to go… So you throw the ball in the direction of Mark Zackery and he walks into the end zone. Absolute coaching malpractice. Gotkowski showed balls.

  4. Yes, you're correct. They voluntarily stayed in 2A when their enrollment dropped. It sounds like Chatard may be in 4A for a few years with this freshman class if everything I've heard about them is true. That is, assuming they bump up this year.

  13. Bloomington South 44 Bloomington North 31 (final) With everybody including their brother knowing that North's Dash King had to throw the ball, he was picked with 39 seconds left to essentially end the game. North certainly had the big edge in passing although South cut into that margin in the second half, but South's ground game which was huge tonight, pretty much salted it away in the 4th. South had 218 yards passing and 258 yards rushing for the game. I didn't get North's passing numbers, but at one point in the 4th, they were at 442 yards passing in the 4th and counting. South had no turnovers, but too many key penalties. North had two turnovers (picks.)

  14. Westfield 37 Carmel 21 Rocks totall domination tonight, leading 28-0 at halftime. It would have been 35-0 and a running clock the entire second half if they had not fumbled at the Carmel 3 on their first possession. It was 37-7 until Carmel scored two touchdowns in the last half of the 4th quarter. Westfield travels again next week, this time to Noblesville

  31. Mishawaka Marion holds that record. Having been assigned 1A at the tourney inception. Petioned up to 2A... If memory serves... having won both 1A and 2A, petioned up to 3A? (Top Class)without success. No one attempted that again until Scecina... And Now You Know The Rest Of The Story!

  32. I forget that people might not have the same info that I do. Word is that Guerin’s top 2 receivers are not playing tonight. Injuries this time of year can end anyone’s season prematurely. If they don’t play then, as I stated above, it won’t really matter how good the game plan is.

  33. Yes. Scroll down for the rest of the games in another string. Although some games are being shown 3 different places, maybe they could give one of those up for someone whose game isn't being streamed?

  34. Once thermally stable, the temperature of the water must be exactly 0C/32F until the ice has completely melted, only then is it physically possible for the temperature of the water to change. Conversely, the temperature of the water physically can not drop below 0C/32F until all of the water has frozen, then the solid ice may drop below 0C/32F For bonus points, -40 is the crossover point of C and F, so you don't have to specify which it is, as they are equal.

  35. And the IHSAA doesn't decide to get cute again with a 4A sectional assignment. Same thing with Lutheran going to 2A. I think it will be a toss-up as to whether they can weather 2A with such a small enrollment, but the likelihood of them and LCC staying in 2A would be better if the IHSAA doesn't stick Lutheran in the same sectional with LCC.

  38. DC has started to turn it on. Plainfield has sputtered to the finish line. Harrison has been dominating inferior opponents. A LOT of Sophomores playing for DC so I still have trouble trusting them in crunch time. I do think Bloomington South ends up representing the south. They will have a tough matchup between Harrison/Plainfield/DC though.

  39. North Posey @ Mater Dei; Well, game day is finally here and we will soon find out who walks the walk and who just talks...or types, as the case may be... For North Posey to win...according to a few posters, all the Vikings need to do is show up. 😂 Their vastly more talented team will wash over the hapless Wildcats and the clock will be full-on, non-stop by 4th quarter... I have missed less than a handful of Mater Dei games since the early 1900s and I cannot recall MD ever having a running clock put on them. Maybe one of the local, GID stat masters - Rudy, TigerFan20, et al can correct or affirm that notion for me? For the "Cats to win...well, to begin with, they have to stop being so darned "soft"...(TIC) MD's strength is its defense so the D must step up again. NP boasts a formidable ground attack that must be kept in check. MD's Achilles heal has always been SPEED and this year is no exception - see Bosse, Castle, etc. No idea how fast NP is - city fast or country fast - but MD will need to keep their RBs from getting to the edge or breaking up the middle at full speed. NP's passing game is suspect but that could be because they haven't really needed it this season...at least not yet... If MD can keep the offense on schedule, with manageable down & distance, they will put points on the board and keep pressure on NP's offense. Kicker Marx proved a valuable weapon last week with 3 FGs, giving them an option on 4th and long in the red zone MD has not had all season. Could this be the difference again tonight? Some posters say "NP's pass defense is much better" but a quick look at their schedule shows they haven't really played anyone with more than an average passing offense. Their lone foe with a good passing game was Heritage Hills and the Patriots gave NP their lone "L" on the season. Could be key tonight. A high scoring game favors the Vikings, IMO. If MD can keep the game in the twenties, I give the nod to Wildcats. My admittedly 'Homer' prediction is "The Streak" survives for one more year, MD 24 - 21.

  40. I’ve said it a hundred times, you could have the best skill players in the state but if your line is overmatched, it will be extremely difficult to get anything accomplished. It ALWAYS starts in the trenches and lineman NEVER get the credit that they deserve! That being said, Shively is MUCH more effective out of the shotgun versus under center! Triton needs dry weather to execute against better teams!
