This has to be from last year. That said, the AP was still wrong last year.4 points

After a slow start, falling behind 14-0 after the 1st quarter, Westfield gets it going and wins at Center Grove, 34-28.2 points

Regardless, you can't shoot people with paintballs for sitting on their front porch. Walz is a circus clown at best..........on a good day.2 points

So I worked an 8th grade game last night between two first year MS teams. The coach that won the toss said he wanted to KO, I just said, no, you’re deferring.2 points

You're absolutely right. Just found this exact poll on the AP website, dated Oct. 17, 2023. Not a great look at all for WTHR, which posted it as a new poll on Wednesday. "The Associated Press released their preseason Indiana high school football poll on Monday, Aug. 19."2 points

Strange but true: this is the first season opening win for Warren since 2019. Regardless of the “they should win, it’s Warren Central,” that has to feel good for Coach Kirschner and the team to get the job done to open up what really needs to be a big year.1 point

Also, welcome home Doug Armstrong. Best defensive schemer in the state. Barth plus Army = success.1 point

When you look at their scores against Owen Valley during those two years, what a disparity compared to the game so far tonight.1 point

I was an IU fan until Bob Knight got fired. Hasn’t felt the same since then, even with him finally returning a few years ago. Great moment but I’ve moved on.1 point

Regardless, even if Warren is not an elite team this year the name recognition of beating them (again) will resonate state wide. A school of 3800 playing a school half (roughly?, too lazy to look up the numbers) is nearly an "everything to lose" game for the larger school every time. While many might attempt to turn a Warren win into discrediting Snider's win last year, who cares? Snider proved it belonged by waxing Decatur Central and winning 5A last year.1 point

No. They only did during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The only games that get live-streamed now are Columbus East vs Columbus North games in all sports.1 point

Intersted to see the panthers this season. However Not looking forward to watching bhsn dominating with a roster containing kids that historically would be Panthers and reasonably should be Panthers given their Place of residence in the county. At any rate I complain bout that every year so time to move forward. Anyone here remember Carson Steele from Center Grove? Guy looks to ha e tree trunks for thighs and is now on the kc chiefs roster and looks like he is gonna make the cut. Hope not because I don't like the chiefs would rather see him elsewhere.1 point

Thank God we are back. Castle by 10 Jasper by 3 Lincoln by a lot Mater Dei by a lot Reitz by a lot if Jasper doesn’t win it’s first game in the updated facility we have to tear it down and do it again. And that will seriously dip into our beer fund. Can’t have that.1 point

Warrior fans talked up this series for awhile..crazy that them going 1-1 might drive them insane...blk n gold everywhere..1 point

I will be in attendance for this game to get a first hand look at both teams. This is almost a no win game for Snider, if they win, everyone will be saying Warren is overrated, if they lose, everyone will be saying last year was a fluke. Oh well…1 point

Game Day! Good luck to everyone and hopefully all the kids are injury free. This is also the last time that Floyd Central will play St X so here's to me hoping they'll start scheduling teams we may have a chance to beat.1 point

It’s finally week 1 for high school football! Lots of scrimmages have been played this summer by many teams along with the week 0 “game” last Friday. I wonder if the IHSAA would consider adding a 10th regular season game in the near future or how coaches would feel across the state?? Anyway, let’s dive into EIAC football! Batesville @ Triton Central: the dawgs return many keys pieces from their sectional championship team last year. I hear their 6’4 wideout missed week 0 scrimmage due to injury? Either way bulldogs will win in a close one (28-21) Greensburg @ Shelbyville: hearing G-burg coach talk on the radio you’d think they will be a much better team this year. I’ll give them benefit of the doubt and give the nod to the EIAC team week one (31-28) Jennings County @ South Dearborn: whole new OC and DC for the knights this season. Knights will struggle, not because of coaching changes. South Dearborn will always be subpar program. (JC- 34 SD-21) L-Burg @ East Central: will this be the year the tigers finally beat East Central? I always think this game will be close but it’s always a running clock. I hear Lawrenceburg might have trouble finding an identity on offense. Their 3-star LB can’t make all the plays. Nothing changes even with EC losing 15+ starters (big brother by 35) Milan @ Rushville: not much to say here. Milan always has a tough nosed team. Rushville runs uptempo. Will rushville get turf anytime soon?? (Lions- 21 Milan- 13) New Castle @ Franklin County: the wildcats have opened the season with this game for awhile now. From listening to coaching interviews on the radio, area coaches have high praise for the chicken and jojos. They should have everyone healthy and finished their season with a nice upset win over coach boom last year who beat them weeks before by 30 (Cats win by 21+) Richmond @ Connersville: the Red Devils have a new coach this season. Connersville might win 2 games all year? My bet is on them or greensburg to be last in total EIAC standings… (Richmond- 24 C’ville- 21) Wishing all EIAC teams good luck and good health Friday night. However….an EIAC gameday forum isn’t complete without Stinky Stinky 1…2…3…???? Must be too busy installing that fancy new jumbotron1 point

After having been a coach in a few games where we kicked off to start both halves (including a Regional playoff game), I am a huge fan of this change. 🙂1 point

I don't think I will this season. With a six-team conference, and having two of those teams among the worst in 5A/6A in Terre Haute North and Southport, there were mostly blowouts among conference rivals with just four teams competitive in the conference. We generally had five to six individuals in the pick-ems last season and no Bloom. North fans participating.1 point

Looks like the Tigers have a new video board... no update yet on how high the numbers can get on there. I'm sure they will find the cap during the Greensburg game. BOARD.jfif1 point
