Ok, so this is a BIG topic and will likely build steam as the next few days pass. As this topic goes on, just a reminder regarding rumors: Verified news stories only are allowed. Include a link to the story. You are fine with your post above skeeter; pasting from WISH TV is ok here. Going forward with additional info though, please include the link If your post starts with "I heard....." do NOT continue; delete it. If you say a player on the team told you.....do not post it. Obviously, I have no idea what happened. But that AD has some serious stones, that’s for sure.3 points

Odd that one high school football fan would attack another on their passion for the sport they share a common interest in. We need more posters on here who are obsessed with the sport. DT provided a lot of content.2 points

The point is to prevent malicious rumors that could destroy careers from spreading. Bud is in a category all his own with a career that speaks for itself, but precedent is precedent. If you want gossip, I'm sure Sheridan has a barber shop or two you could frequent.2 points

I agree to a point. I was really upset last week because I realize what kind of talent they have. Playing down to their opponents level is unacceptable!1 point

I have officiated: Based upon what I have found.... at least 116 CURRENT schools and an additional 6 schools that no longer exist1 point

It’s gonna be a fun Fall in Bloomington. IU administration may have just gotten this one right.1 point

Folks with that kind of passion should have either 1. Thicker skin, or 2. A sense of humor. If they don't have either, not someone I care to engage with.1 point

Sorry, but regardless of how well they are playing today, Marcus Freeman is on thin ice with me. Every year they have at least one pathetic effort. It’s his job to make sure that doesn’t happen. In 3 years he’s got losses to Northern Illinois, Louisville, Marshall, and a Stanford team that was a laughingstock in a laughingstock conference. None of those teams should EVER beat Notre Dame. It’s his responsibility to make sure that the effort is there, and he hasn’t done it consistently enough for me. Not by a long shot.1 point

I'd consider that a win. They competed, and if you are healthy, it is a win (kind of).1 point

Yes, the ball is dead when K possesses it. I couldn’t see the PF. I’m sitting in a palapa on the beach in the Dominican Republic right now, and the glare of the sun off the Caribbean makes it hard to make out much detail. Truth. 😂🦜🌴🧉1 point

At quick glance, I've had a few that don't exist. Did a lot more IPS early in my career. Anderson Highland Anderson Prep Academy Broad Ripple Arlington Manual Marshall Northwest Muncie South FW Elmhurst1 point

Congrats to the Tigers who indeed "took the Cats to the woodshed", esp with their passing game. QB (Fisher?) reminds me of former Tiger QB Lindauer with his arm & accuracy. MD simply had no answer for the Tigers' passing game last night. Time to turn the page and keep working to get better.1 point

I track all the varsity games I've worked. Based on that spreadsheet, I've officiated 179 schools. I've probably seen more if you count some games I've attended including the state finals. Probably closer to 200.1 point

I have been to games every Friday night (with a few exceptions) for the past 35 years. Normally we see a different set of teams each week depending on the game. Honestly, I do not know how many that would account for but have seen a lot of high school teams in this state and throughout the country.1 point

I’ve never counted, but I’d have to guess, there are way less I haven’t seen.1 point

I heard you are top of it and ahead of the game! It is just pure speculation! I couldn't pass up the opportunity, on a serious note hope all is well.1 point

Took 'em to the woodshed tonight. Tigers looked good. Big matchup looming in a few weeks with Reitz. Hopefully both are undefeated because Enlow will be rockin'...1 point

He may had 2 or 3 incompletions, but definitely over 300 passing yards. Also, his run game has improved significantly compared to last year. The whole team looked very good on all fronts, glad we got some starters back.1 point

Westfield 38 Noblesville 18 Westfield led the entire game, but it was close until the last 4 minutes of the game. Westfield was up two scores at 24-6. Noblesville scores, misses the PAT, so it was 24-12. Noblesville recovers the onside kick, and a few plays later, Noblesville actually threw a long TD pass to make it 24-18. About 4 minutes to play. This time Westfield recovers the onside kick. Noblesville, playing the run, gets fooled when Westfield throws a 50 yard TD pass to Gabe Aramboles, making it 31-18. Several plays after the Westfield kickoff, Noblesville's QB is hit as he throws, and Westfield picks it off for an easy pick 6. 38-18. Three TDs total in about two minutes towards the end of the game.1 point
