  1. The two teams that crushed them this year Luers beat both last year. Go stir your ridiculous crap somewhere else.

  2. Game has evolved, so has technology, most of it is welcomed and important. Such as not having to dub VHS/DVDs, then use your own gas money to meet a coach halfway point at 6-7 a.m. to exchange film. Though as a Fan, you can see it as a game played by children, which I understand your perspective, but for me this is my PROFESSIONAL CAREER CHOICE, and yes Football is viewed as Co-Curricular in my eyes and my #1 job is to teach lessons associated with football's X/O's life skills. which Football is just 1 avenue used to communicate and teach said lessons.

  4. Its the oldest trick of the GID book 1) Game week, user from an opposing school decides on Game week to create an account 2) Thinks to themselves, you know what will really rally they troops: If I make a user name, pretending to be the opposing school's coach/fan/player 3) proceed with action plan and makes 1st post to flame up the internet message board, then the other team players/coaches/fans/ whoever says, LOOK, YOU SEE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ONLINE..... Motivational tactic 4) Get snuffed out quickly by site mods and squashed Rinse Repeat

  7. Most importantly go to the Ale Emporium (County Line & Emerson) before the game and get an order of Hermanaki wings. Then go to Long's Bakery on Southport Road just east of Madison and get some donuts (cash only). You can thank me later.

  9. Well, I heard the slave ship reenactment was not the school's best work, anyway -- their "The Holocaust Reimagined" choir show during Oktoberfest and end of the school year play, "Vegas Mass Shooting: The Musical" are much harder tickets to get....

  11. YESSSSSSSS. I have visited a few in different parts. Gotta love a place where the bar is bigger than the restaurant because the wait is so long. And the servings are HUGE.

  12. "other than a bad fourth quarter against Southridge, they could be 3 - 0 themselves." If we throw out the fourth quarter against Southridge, Linton loses 12-7. That was the score at the end of the third quarter. I have seen this or we gave the Southridge game away from several post made by Linton fans. Linton lead for less than 5 minutes of a 48 minute game. Southridge lead for over 27 minutes.

  15. I'm sorry but North White and West Central have no business in the HNAC. I also feel Caston is in over their heads in this conference. The old Midwest conference was perfect for NW, WC and Caston. Schools of same size and competitive ability. NW and WC made the correct choice staying or going back to the Midwest.

  17. Seriously? That's kinda harsh. This is actually a good topic. If Luers and Concordia were to leave, the SAC would go after Huntington North and someone else. The ease of scheduling with a 10 team conference will trump the exciting out-of-conference match-ups. Agree. Concordia and Luers have had more success than those 4. But they could still make a case for leaving based on enrollment. Conclusion: Luers is having a bad year. They beat both Homestead and Carroll last year. Both the Spartans and the Chargers have really good teams this year, but I'm not sold that those two programs are built for year in year out dominance like Snider and Dwenger. So yeah, I think Luers will be back and will beat those two schools again. Regardless of Luers size, there has been many years where they had more talent then the likes of Snider and the other larger schools.

  19. Don't get me wrong, MD has looked good this year. I would compare them to a nice cold ski on a crisp fall festival October morning...so you know they're legit. The problem is that Memorial is VERY good again this year and are still the fat cats around town. I've had Santa visit me twice since Memorial last lost a football game in the SIAC. I hope MD can keep it close.

  26. Oh man. I’m still young being only 24....but I remember going to the fawn supper club between two rivers and Manitowoc a lot as a kid before it closed down. Because i had moved to Indiana for middle school and high school and have only been back in Wisconsin the last 4 years I had totally forgot about supper clubs until you guys just mentioned it. Too occupied by fish fry Friday’s and the farmers market I guess lol

  29. you know what is FREE and you get the same information that Hudl Sideline give you? IPAD, upstairs next to your coaches filming the game as well. We have a Middle School guy right next to me on every Friday night. He live shoots via Hudl App. Our staff wants to see something/anything, I review the clip, relay the information, then we communicate to the coaches/players what is needing to be done. It coast $0.00 and has been reliable "replay" system now going on 5 years.

  30. I'd say no that they wouldn't consider it. They have been competitive in the league recently and it prepares them well for post season play (especially when they are 2A). As mentioned above by Frozen Tundra, Northrop, Wayne, North Side, and South Side usually get beat by them so that is 4 of the 9 opponents that can be W's. They upset one of the bigger 4 and they're over .500 and that is really respectable for their size.

  31. That may very well be the case. He was talking about how much time he had spent on the phone with Hudl over the last few weeks, and still can't get it ironed out. He said the only issue they had with their Hi-Pod was linking in to Hudl sideline, so that would seem to confirm your opinion.

  32. North Harrison's senior class this year did not even have a 7th or 8th grade team simply because there were not enough players. NH's QB even went to Corydon his 8th grade year so he could play.

  39. Why yes, the government should always use its force and authority to tell parents where there children are going to school and what they will be taught. Charter schools, private schools, parochial schools, homeschooling, etc. should all be immediately outlawed. The only reasonable and right "choice" is for all children to be educated in a school run by the state.

  40. Yes, Ohio has its own OT procedure, Here it is straight from the OHSAA website: 1) Overtime • At the end of regulation, there will be a three-minute intermission during which both teams may confer with their coaches. During the intermission, the officials will meet the captains at the center of the field for a coin toss. The winner of the toss shall be given the choice of defense or offense or which end of the field the ball will be put into play. Each team will be permitted one timeout per overtime period. • After the coin toss, the offensive team will put the ball in play, first and 10 on the defensive team’s 20-yard line. The possession shall be terminated if the offense scores, the defense has possession of the ball at the end of any down (if the defensive team gains possession, the ball becomes dead immediately) or the offense fails to make the line-to-gain. • After the offense has completed its possession, the defense will become the offensive team. In order to ensure equal game conditions, the same goal shall be used by both teams. • If the score remains tied after each team has been given one series, the procedure shall be repeated, except there will be no coin toss, until a winner is determined. There will be an intermission of two minutes, during which the loser of the original coin toss will be given first choice of the options, which includes the option to change goals. First choice of options will alternate for each overtime period. • There will be an intermission of five minutes after every third overtime period.

  45. I was not a professional football player, I played Division 3 and suffered numerous injuries. My Junior year after three knee injuries, two shoulder injuries and a recent back injury, I went to my Head coach to discuss if I wanted to continue playing. The process of working out in the off season, starting the season, getting hurt, then rehabbing, only to get hurt again wears on you. You can easily get to a dark place. I continued to play, but four surgeries by age 36 has really made things difficult. Everyday I am in pain so I get why Luck walked away.
