I just got off the phone with the home AD for our scrimmage tonight. He said everyday we move forward the more confident he is we will play. And the were shut down for two weeks in July with a positive test.

So if we are 100% positive the season will end, why don’t they just call it off now. The topic is about canceling the season, not shortening the season.

I think you have to watch the data and how many teams have to cancel or suspend the season. Since it has come this far it would be unfair to pull the plug today. Now if next weeks teams are reporting positive cases all over you may need to look at the data. Several schools are not playing a scrimmage to protect their team and staff. Each school/corporation has their thoughts and best way to handle the situation. We need to respect the people making those decisions. Plus now you need to players and staff to adhere to the guidelines and not do anything stupid.

Now Nebraska is saying they won't jump to another conference this year. I wish someone would make up their mind already.

I would like to think that School/Team/Coaches will have a policy that any player/student who is awaiting a Covid test results must be quarantined in the first place. To me that makes no sense for someone who had a symptom or 2, goes get a test, but then continues to school and practice. That person, in any field, whether working in a factory, office school insert all here, should remain away until test results come back

Darn straight- if schools can be in session, then athletics should be played. Simple as that. (No idea what the Big Ten was thinking??! How on earth can you justify 30k on a college campus, living in dorms, communal bathrooms, frat parties- but yet won’t let 22 guys on a football field?)
