  3. Without running the numbers, I always felt that it should be 32 in 6A and 32 in 1A. Well, I guess that's why we run numbers. IHSAA got it right.

  7. Yeah, it ain't much fun but very necessary. It takes me a day or so to get over the shot. I actually received a stronger shot yesterday, but my reaction is not as bad as the last one. Yesterday was my 4th one.

  13. Without quoting all the above classes and taking up loads of space in this reply box- those classes (where 32 biggest are in 6A and 32 smallest are in 1A) seem about right to me. I realize it’s all relative I guess…

  18. VITAL part of any game!! Sadly that was not the most dangerous part of my night, the Halloween party ongoing in the WIRT gym that was being shared with our locker room took that prize. However, I do remember a couple of Halloween costumes of gals in referree stripes, they were heading into the community bathroom as I was heading out, needless to say, we may have just grabbed all our stuff and took it to the track on our sidelines. I do like water cooler action

  19. Not everyone is outraged coach....just might have different preferences as to the focus on TV during a sporting event. I am guessing most don't lose an ounce of sleep about it one way or another, but is water cooler talk to many. At the end of the day, I truly don't care much what other think about it...pro or con. I just know I turn on a game to watch a game. Others obviously are seeking more. We do agree on Tony Romo...

  21. A controversy most likely created by the media. Not the Bears management and coaching staff. Mr. Williams could be drafted by the Bears with the understanding he would be the backup to Mr. Fields. This whole expectation that "elite" college quarterbacks are ready to play at an NFL level on practically day one is a fantasy. For every C.J. Stroud-like rookie season there are a dozen rookie QB seasons that are mediocre to poor.

  26. Less than 40 seconds of total tv time Less than 2minutes in the entire playoff run of Chiefs Giselle got the same treatment by the TV producers, who ulitmately are the ones in charge of the camera angles used in all games. I attempted to get my daughter Swift tickets for Indy in Nov 24, fell short on lottery, couldn't tell you name of any songs, but could recognize a couple Im sure based on care rides with soon to be 15 year old, so don't think I am a swifty per the rules of Swift fandom. This is nothing more than selective outrage and our nations newest click bait anger talking point to fill the internet spaces, I am just hear to show the facts that 30 seconds of TV time is enough to get folks to comment on this site, is just laughable considering the amount of similar shots that were on display for the Gisselle Pats days..... but now its a problem for folks. I think a true concern should be why they let Tony Romo ruin the broadcast for everyone, now that has merit

  28. Coach...I am going to surmise you are a big time "Swifty". I can feel the emotion when you go into defense mode. You paint kind of an extremist view. Can't it be somewhere in the middle? How about I don't care who a player dates, but do I really need to see their face plastered on the screen when they catch a 7yd pass? I'll live one way or another, but my preference is to keep the view on the field with the people competing on it. Its not the views of the celebrity...its the volume of the views especially when there is nothing meaningful that occurred to prompt the view. Many of us grew up watching Jack Nicolson and Spike Lee on the sidelines for the Lakers and Knicks. But they didn't get near the looks of Taylor in her suite jumping up and down for a first down. I wasn't alive, but perhaps the TV camera's for the networks did pan to Marilyn Monroe every time Joe DiMaggio caught a fly ball or grounded out to 3rd. Somehow, I doubt it though.....welcome to the age of social media.

  32. Don't we already have a Sectional Meeting for each Sectional with coaches and AD's. Couldn't this be done in like an hour in that meeting. We are talking about 8 teams, not a bunch of different weight classes. It could even be done before week 9 just like the draw.

  35. I The “stunner” label has nothing to do with the Coach. It’s just that in the 57 seasons of Munster football, they’ve only had 3 coaches … and all have had close ties to Munster. John Friend lived in Munster and kids from Munster went to Hammond High, where he was Bernie Kreuger’s assistant, before Munster opened. Leroy Marsh was Coach Friend’s assistant for many years. Jason Grunewald was a player at Munster and was Marsh’s OC for many years. To my knowledge, Coach St. Louis has no ties to the program. That Munster went outside its own little world is the stunning part of this hire.

  39. That makes more sense. Actually, won't they stay in 6A since they won a sectional?

  40. How many times did they show the other celebrities in the crowd and how many of them were allowed on the field for the postgame celebration? Hell, how many of the players n’ SPOUSES were permitted on the field during the trophy presentation? Lets just call this what it is…

  41. Cathedral won a regional in 2022 and a sectional in 2023. They will stay in 6A. Lafayette Central Catholic will also stay up a class. They earned 3 points from a sectional in 2022 and regional in 2023.

  46. Works out perfect for the new Sectional 32: GS - 771 VL - 711 Heritage Hills - 635 Ev. Memorial - 617 Princeton - 600 Southridge - 576 Mt. Vernon (Posey) - 574 Ev. Mater Dei - 520 Any other grouping would be completely illogical...

  47. Looked back at some Mitchell numbers here is what I found 19-20/20-21 9th-119 10th-109 11th-121 12th-113. Total-462 22-23/23-24 9th-126 10th-117 11th- 110 12th-100. Total-453 24-25/25-26 9th-29 10th-39 11th-84 12th-60. Total-212 Now I know I sold my house in mitchell back in August but I dont have that many damn kids. It's hard to see that big of a fall off. Thats 57 kids leaving from 10th grade to now 12th in 2 years. I'm sure a couple of bottom 2A teams (Perry Central) would like a recount at couple of schools. Haha
