Now, I truly understand when someone of the stature of Coach Wright has something like this pop up, its going to create conversations and whatnot, my advice, if you're that concerned contact the appropriate folks involved and ask your questions.   

My guess it will get met with, "no comment".  

That is satisfying to me and honestly, I don't care what happened, the folks at Sheridan are involved

Things that are personal in nature and none of my business, I genuinely don't care that much. 

HOWEVER - when a figure such as the win coach in all of Indiana High School football and a legend gets the hammer dropped on him by School Administration, I think it reaches beyond just the local community. 

As a school employee - it also peaks interest as to the dynamics in play. Was it an "over-zealous AD" trying to make his mark...or an old "get off my lawn/can't tell me what to do" moment from Coach? 

We'll probably never know and your right, none of my business. 

But I would disagree with it not being newsworthy.

Like I said, I understand why it's newsworthy, but the vibe sometimes around places like her is some sort of thought that this community DESERVES to know, or has a right to know.   Not saying that was your intent, just general observations.

things as simple as temperature for practice.....I mean this coach defines old school.  Back in the 90's, Bob Clayton would have laughed hysterically if you said it was too hot for practice.

Nah, a individual as tech savvy as the elder Mr. Wright has to be probably has his own server running a WordPress blog.   The trick is finding out the URL.

To suspend a 60 year coach for not aligning would be an extraordinary overreach...

Nobody is above the law but I can't see how choosing this particular coach to set an example would be the best idea.

I think that is why I keep coming back to this (when again, it is really none of my business) - to suspend an absolute LEGEND over something as vague as "insubordination" ?? Like...what?? 

It is something either REALLY bad....or

A complete over-reach by an over-zealous AD

OR...maybe not, but I would think if I were Coach Wright and it wasn't something totally embarrassing and/or criminal, I would want to clear the air.

not aligning could mean a ton of things...as with the term "insubordination".  Depends on the magnitude and the manner of the "misalignment:.  I don't know...all I can go off of at this time is what the articles state.

I am also not supporting anyone on either side of the equation as I know none of the facts.  I have to assume the AD had the backing of the high school administration and perhaps the school board itself.  They had to know that taking that action would put the school in the crosshairs.  If the AD did act alone, wow.

I am aware enough to know that the School Board was still fact gathering about the whole situation, on Monday.  They held an Executive Session on Monday evening, about two hours before the statement was released about him being reinstated.

The whole situation has just been wild, as an outsider looking in.  I have a very good relationship with the school, AD, and coaches, and I have none of the actual facts as far as what definitively happened.  Like I said earlier in the thread, we likely will never know what actually went down.

The Sheridan Chatter facebook page is where the full scoop was.  I think they've deleted a lot of the posts about it though along with the ones about kids being pulled from classes due to all these threats(statewide, if not nationwide) this week.
