South Putnam made a statement Friday night by dominating a very very good Fountain Central Mustang squad 45–7. FC was easily one of the toughest opponents they’ll face all season but South Put controlled the game from start to finish. At this point it’s hard to see anyone in 1A slowing them down. They look poised to walk right into the state finals.

How Familiar are you with South's Schedule? I'm not sure FC would more than two games on their schedule. I have come to the conclusion that you sir should win the ultimate troll award. Congratulations!

FC plays that same schedule and they’d have the same record, if not better than South Put. You’re welcome to disagree but there’s no reason for name calling. I’d like to think you've been taught better than that.

Show me one team FC would beat on this schedule

Prince - SP played six teams that finished with winning records.  It is statistically and historically impossible for FC to have the same record had they played the same schedule as SP.  🤡

West Central @ LaVille- Lancers win this one convincingly. Frontier's Midwest Conference schedule does them no favors prepping for the post season.

Pioneer @ Carroll- Panthers win this in a close one. Cougars only losses coming to Sheridan, Eastern and 3A Maconaquah. Whoever creates the most big plays and limits turnovers will win this one.

Fremont @ N. Miami- Warriors ball control offense and tough defense pushes them to the regionals.

Hagerstown @ S. Adams- Starfire's offense will be too much setting up a rematch of last year's regional.

South Putnam at Riverton Parke- 1A game of the week! Think this game could go either way, but ultimately I think that the Eagle's schedule has prepped them for these big games better than the Panthers.

Cloverdale @ Sheridan- I think the Blackhawks will win this one pretty soundly. Tough D and a ground and pound offense will be their ticket to success.

North Decatur @ Milan- Its tough to beat the same team twice in the same year. I think the Indians pull this one out.

Providence @ North Davies- The Pioneers pull away early and move on to regionals.

Temp goes 6/8 on sectional winners.

What's it like to talk about big schools all day and then pick the little ones more accurately

Updated title odds, because I like punishment:

1.  South Putnam - 25%

2. Pioneer - 23%

3. South Adams - 20%

4. Providence - 15%

5. LaVille - 10%

6. North Miami - 4%

7. Sheridan - 2%

8. Milan - 1%

LaVille at Pioneer - I'm being a total homer here, but I do believe this is going to be an absolute slugfest.  If LaVille can limit their turnovers, this is going to be a really good game.

South Adams at North Miami - South Adams seems pretty legit and I'm taking the Starfires in this one.

Sheridan at South Putnam - I believe most are believing that South Putnam will be representing the south at Lucas Oil and I have no reason to disagree with that assessment.

Milan at Providence - Providence has been one of the top dogs all season long and I think they keep it going for at least one more week.

As a Sheridan person, it would certainly be an awkward situation.  It would be like a movie, though.  The town would finally have its chance to say "thank you" and "goodbye" to Coach Wright.

the fact that that sentence had to be made in the 1st place is just so infuriating

I’m still taking South Putnams out of the south. The north looks more wide open than Angel Skinners…….. well you know. Why aren’t more people picking LaVilla after they beat NJ?

Mostly because the majority people in the north who have been following 1A expected Pioneer to be the team playing at Semi state instead of NJ or LaVille.  LaVille will be a tough out though.

I don’t have much to add to the conversation. But I wanted to say North Daviess has a wonderful looking facility. I see it from I-69 and occasionally cut through to 57 for work.

Not sure if anyone from there reads the board, just wanted to say it’s noticeable how well they take care of it.

Agreed, it’s nice seeing it on the way up to Bloomington and Indy. I do love the double decker press box they have.

Heard Judson started new QB and had 6 turnovers, and still had a shot, pretty crazy
