Was kind of hoping they would keep Cass at #1 after taking their first loss to a spectacular WL team. Pioneer's only loss is to Cass in week one, and Webo's only loss is to a team Cass beat by a couple touchdowns. At the end of the day, everyone makes it on Selection Sunday and I can't wait for late October and November football!6 points

You are correct. Her name is Annie Wickens and she does a great job getting our end zone film.3 points

Maybe for New Prairie as a program but not for Radke.3 points

Jordan Reid, kicker at New Pal. I believe she was 7-7 EP this week. Girl is a speedster in track and a good basketball player also. And she was Homecoming Queen this week. @Coach Nowlin , if this picture isn't allowed, please delete. We know her through AAU GBB.3 points

Not to put words in Coach Radtke's mouth, but I'd have to imagine beating a 3-4 team in a rebuilding/injury-filled year doesn't rank anywhere near winning a state title or the numerous sectional and regional finals he has collected over the years.2 points

I am wondering in 3A why last week Chatard and WL were tied at the top of the polls, and this week WL is dropped a spot to #2?? I mean WL beat #1 in 2A and gets penalized for by a few voters??!!2 points

Watched it just now. Could not tell well enough from the video whether there should have been either OPI or DPI. But the block in the back was an incorrect call. It was not a foul. The cause was the back judge was not where he should have been on the play. Bad mechanics cause bad calls.2 points

I think the WW/Crawford County game was like 1 hr 45 min. Running clock 2nd half. I dont care to pay because that money is for the school. Hell I once walked in rain....paid for ticket and food...then went back to car to watch the game from the parking lot. What's $20 to help the school? I'll never understand why some want to line up on roads to watch but avoid paying.2 points

Only coach in the state to lead 3 different programs to the state finals.1 point

It can still be a monumental win and still not be the biggest win of Radtke's career. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Why can't we acknowledge that NP's win over Penn as a legacy win while also acknowledging that it isn't Radtke's "biggest win" of his career? It isn't. Not by a mile.1 point

Kind of a perfect storm of things. Still plenty of talent here at BD. Lost a ton of seniors from the 14-0 State Champs in '17. Lots of new people starting last year, and they've continued to grow up. I think Coach Simmons is getting settled now, too. Allen and Kirschner were both on staff when they moved into the head coaching role, Simmons had been gone from BD for a few years before returning (hired in March). Then, lots of staff changes. '18 was kind of a "lost year". I think things are getting back now to normal, but we'll see as the season progresses. Anyway, this is a thread about the Irish. Great win again for that program and for a very good coach in Coach Peebles!1 point

I can not speak for the voters, but it may not have anything to do with WL and more to do with Chatard's win this past weekend. I am not saying Chatard is better, rather just offering an opinion to your question1 point

If Tipton wins they go to LCC for a rematch with guys healthy back If Western wins they go to LCC for 3/4th and we Welcome back Tipton to Rensselaer BC/NW look to be set to see each other Heights could throw a wrinkle into things if they pull an upset on Cass, if not, Cass gets to go to RDP of 765 for another rematch. Fun times in Hoosier1 point

Maybe we did deserve to lose to the Eagles, I’ll happily take 4-1. Home field should be the goal.1 point

As I recall Linton has seating in one EZ and not the other, thus they put the cameras in the EZ with no fans.1 point

Maybe. I would like to think we should be 5-0 but the loss to the eagles was probably deserving. You can’t average 3 takeaways and 4 sacks a game and then get 0 against a bad eagles OL but it’s whatever. im still happy with the packers. The thing that still gets me is that fumble recovery that was nullified by a false start. The play was full go and the whistles were late after the clear recovery. But the cowboys false start actually saved them from turning the ball over. Never seen that one before. most of the other calls were correct. The hands to the face was the right call even though it nullified an INT. The roughing the passer one is a head scratcher but I think it’s close enough within the rules i hope the packers get home field advantage. I would love to go to a playoff game.1 point

So that little horrible conference known as HNAC who plays no one is 2-0 vs Glenn this year. Maybe Glenn should stick to playing NIC teams so they can get some wins.1 point
-
Barring a miracle, looks like Plymouth will at least own a share of the conference title. Impressive through the air yet again.1 point

Yikes, Merrillville, a team with size and speed, has no shot against Jeff? Don’t overlook Crown Point in Sectional 1 either. They have a knack for lulling teams to sleep in 20-14 type games and finding ways to win.1 point

That crew was wrong if that’s the case. I believe the rule is 35 points and has to be 2nd half.1 point

Be careful what you say, Coach Nowlin will start thinking EVERY home team has an advantage.1 point
-
It should not have. I'm pretty sure the rule states 35 point difference in the 2nd half.1 point

All this frivolous end zone camera nonsense banter. Everyone knows that games are won or lost on the quality of pre game meal, lard, bacon grease and other saturated phats. If those ingredients are not present in a ratio (minimum) of 8 ounces per player, that team has no chance of winning. If a few octogenarian honeys are present then that team is an automatic 2 score favorite.1 point
-
I know the games have to be played, and I take no opponent, lightly. But if Floyd Central isn’t 9-2 with a Sectional Title after the next 4 games, I’ll be mildly disappointed. This is their shot. But I’m already proud of that team whether they do or not.1 point

Bill Peebles had that program going in a good direction. He rebuilt the Southport program and had LC headed north. 12-9 after two years after a three year 10-21 stretch under the previous coach. If Coach Rodenberg didn't investigate the program before he took the job, that's on him. Sorry, this doesn't make much sense to me.1 point

Yes sir. It helps that I come off as likable, but most of the time the camera guys we deal with are just like us, there for the kids and giving back to the team and school we love and played for.1 point

I saw that North Vermillion's endzone camera videographer is a woman. I believe that she is the first female endzone camera videographer in the history of the Wabash River Conference.0 points

Because in a true market-based system I would get to choose, not the federal or state government. Is our current system perfect? Heck no, but it just happens to be marginally better than the socialist system that Canada has. I desire to move to a health care system that is more market-based, not less. A step towards that, as I have stated before, is to stop tying health care insurance as a perk/benefit of employment. Employers should stop providing me with a 'health insurance plan' but instead take that $ and put in in my pocket, so I can 100% choose what health insurance plan to purchase. That way little to none of the cost of that insurance is hidden from me, just like with my automobile insurance, my home owners insurance, etc. Should medical professionals make more than educational professionals in the USA? Why or why not?-1 points
