Stopping this post now. There is no new info. This is NOT a platform to simply spout political views. It started halfway down the worm hole the other locked posts ended up in. And NOTHING has been added to raise it. Plenty has been done to drive it urther down that wormhole; with the usual cast of characters taking the usual stances. BE BETTER3 points

you know what would be awesome is if we can actually post messages without calling other posters "names" and then to have the poster make a report, then to have admins go back thru and clean up the name calling/reference to user identities, followed up with making posts and using * to replace a letter to make a naughty word. This is not anyone's personal Facebook Page. I would love to go JUST 1 DAY without that.. JUST 1 over and over and over again..... Same ole same ole same ole YAWN3 points

"AND ITS THE SAME GROUP EVERYTIME. Color me SHOCKED Maybe its time to see if @DK_Barons can figure out ways to restrict users to only certain portions of the website??? Hmmmmmmm This concept is NOT that hard to follow folks. We are getting dangerously close on putting about 5 accounts on MOD PREVIEW only...... which is sad to say about adults "2 points

For the varsity football team a large portion(majority) of the kids are driving themselves to practice hours after having any contact with their parents. Should parents be leaving work to go check the temperature of their 16 yr olds? It takes seconds per kid with a infrared thermometer so if teams really think it is worthwhile, doing it as kids arrive is the best method.2 points

The HC has a near perfect slate for game ones this year. Chec it out.... 1) Jeff @ WL No doubt is the Marquee game. Or should it b called a track meet after last yr..... 2) Western @ Kokomo this could b a good one.... 3) Pioneer @ Cass Will the Kings hold their ground as the panthers look to avenge the waxing they recieved last time out.... 4) Tri West @ LCC Can the Knights hold serve at home this yr.... either way .. This is a great first game matchup for both teams ...as both r adept at exposing eachothers strenghts and weaknesses. Hope this series continues. 5) RC @ KV The Bombers seem to have their number of late... but u never really know in this one. 6) MC @ HH This is what the Dr ordered for HH... Go up against a very solid well coached team who will push em. Interested to see how HH dose in this one. 7) TL @ NW Lakers should b favored but r on the road ... new coaches involved ... just a good 1st game matchup for both.... 😎 Delphi @ BC This use to b THE game when both were in the HC... can BC close the gap on the Oracles this time out.... 9) Tipton @ Madison Grant I guess it counts ...as a non conf game.1 point

No Qualms from me, as a fan of course I am bummed I do not get to see all the weapons on displayed this year, but plenty of talented dudes in that room and will be just as excited to see Bell and company compete next month.1 point

Many school corporations throughout the state don't shut down a building until there are 30% of kids out for flu. It's going to take a serious outbreak of Covid-19 to reach that level, especially if protocols are being followed.1 point

A if you are so confident that Trump is gonna win.. Take my bet. If you lose you gotta donate cash to planned parenthood. If you are so confident, you don't have to worry. B.. Where is your proof that "democrats" are walking away from the party? Here are Republican's voting for Biden. Colin Powell, Steve Schmidt, John Kasich, George Conway, Reed Galen, Jennifer Horn, Ron Steslow, John Weaver, Rick Wilson, George Will, Jim Mattis, John Kelly, Cindy McCain, tons of republicans that have worked for Bush 41 and Bush 43 are supporting Biden, and David Jolly.. George Bush, Mitt Romney, Jeff Flake, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski may vote for Biden. Those people are sane. I can keep going on and on. I know 5 people who voted for Trump in 2016 are voting for Biden in 2020. If Democrats weren't enthusiastic then why did Democrats win back house in 2018, win a Senate seat in Alabama, win back governorships in Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois? Look at voting for democrats compared to Trump in the presidential primary. Democrats combined have way better numbers.1 point

This Forum is about High School Football. As someone who is supposed to enforce rules on a football field, why do you insist on continuing to violate the rules on this Forum? Because you're getting by with it?1 point

At the opposite end of this, not to mention the opposite end of the state, Bloomington South just hosted an 18-team girls golf tournament that had 95 golfers involved. Evansville North was the top team with Carmel coming in second. It was the first IHSAA competition in around four and a half months.1 point

With the media's help the virus, school's plans, sports season has become an absolute circus. This is an ever changing, fluid situation. What may be sounds/look good today may not be that way later in the day or tomorrow. Look at how many school corporations have had to back track or adjust? My hunch is sports is going to be the same way. Kickoff is supposedly in 2 weeks. Thinks about how many changes will happen in the mean time. Let's just hope people for he suggested guidelines and make it work so we can have football in a couple weeks. We cannot put high schools in a bubble that is for sure.1 point

Hmm: https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/democracy/reports/2019/08/30/473911/big-pharma-reaps-profits-hurting-everyday-americans/ Yep, that is really "taking out" Big Pharma. Is he or is he not a member of the Republican Political Party? Sure seems like according to this website: https://www.gop.com/ While also refusing to significantly reduce federal spending, which only acerbates our out of control federal debt. A debt our children and grandchildren will have to deal with. Just face it, the primary reason people claim to support Mr. Trump is for one reason and one reason only: He is not <insert democratic candidate here>. And frankly that is piss poor way to choose a POTUS.1 point

Good question. So in all this counting of coronavirus cases does a positive test count as a "+1"? And if on a subsequent test on the same individual the test now reports as negative does that mean a "-1" on the number of coronavirus cases? Something tells me probably not..................1 point

I am certainly not an expert on NCAA eligibility. But I know of a number of instances where college students have become licensed IHSAA football officials. PM me and I’ll point you in the right direction.1 point

https://gridirondigest.net/clients/donations/ There is a link for Snail Mail in there, it will then give you the address to which you would like to send Cash, Money Order, or Personal Check (we get about 10 of those a year) after you click CHECK instead of PayPal or Venmo: Once you click CHECK, you then get redirected the screen with the before mentioned address. If I swung by, then I would literally be doing the same thing you can do yourself by clicking the snail mail radial at the link. RACK IT !!! OG GID MEMBERS WILL APPRECIATE THAT I HOPE1 point

I know smaller school perspective here, but many of these folks you refer to are volunteers, for smaller events like Volleyall or basketball, different sports teams and their coaches are in charge of hosting the concession stand on various nights. I know our ticket takers at RCHS will get a "season pass" to all the sports events if they work X amount of games for the year.1 point

A considerable amount of forum members are involved in education and have had their jobs shut down during the past 5 months. Their lives have had a major impact. Our plant has worked 6 days per week since the coronavirus outbreak and we are scheduled 7 days per week through the end of August. Other than not being able to go to a bar, my life has not changed at all since March. I am in management, therefore I must comply with the mandatory mask policy. I'm about the only person in my department who consistently wears a mask. I also comply with the Indianapolis public mask policy out of respect for others.1 point

This forum wasn't made for speculating, you mistook a county for a state...Thats not misreading, that is being ignorant...or simply not doing diligence to confirm a story. Don't post a believed fact without a source. TA coached my family growing up. I played under him for 3 seasons. He would be disheartened by all these threads being shut down and argument over whether we are having a season and letting this turn into a political mess. He would have rooted for a season to happen if it was safe to do so and if people followed proper guidance to do so. Share an opinion or two, even open a topic to discuss one, but don't simply banter across multiple threads on the High School Board to push your agenda/beliefs or to get off on doing so. Move to the OOB (or whatever it is called). This was created to promote and discuss IN high school football - Keep it at that. I coach and am blessed to do so, here's hoping for a season...I'll do my part with the mask mandate and social distancing. I'd simply encourage all to do the same. And the same goes for the other side also spitting ignorance. Mask up - only possible solution to slow this that is being suggested by experts. Social Distance and be patient with reduced crowds. We're all in this together. DO YOUR PART!!!1 point

Biden to Black Journalist: ‘Are You a Junkie?’: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/biden-to-black-journalist-are-you-a-junkie/ Unsurprisingly, many are cringing that Biden is, unprompted, asking an African-American journalist if he’s “a junkie” . . . three months after Biden told radio DJ Charlamagne tha God, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” As noted last month, somehow the United States managed to pick its two least self-aware, sensitive, erudite septuagenarians to run for president this cycle. Yet no rage from the MSM over Mr. Biden's words. Yet the wailing and gnashing of teeth had Mr. Trump said the same thing would have been deafening.1 point

Los Angeles Will Shut Off People's Utilities For Hosting Parties, Not For Failing To Pay Their Utility Bills https://reason.com/2020/08/06/los-angeles-will-shut-off-peoples-utilities-for-hosting-parties-not-for-failing-to-pay-their-utility-bills/ Agreed. My wife and I both had a test a while back. It kind of sucked but I've had worse. My wife, on the other hand, did not handle it well. The test caused her to have a sore in her nose that lasted for weeks, plus the nurse treated her like a child when she slightly flinched due to the pain.0 points
