There have been a couple of times in the past when controversial posters who flouted the few rules on the GID have been asked to leave. The admins have not been loathe to publicize those instances. I don’t see any reason this situation would be different.

Looking forward to this game. Memorial has always been a well coached disciplined squad. This will be the 1st time in many years where we start out with a Conference foe as well. Safe travels to you tiger fans.

I LOVE IT Chesterton has a REAL REAL good QB: We typically do summer scrimmages up north, New Prairie, Michigan City, and host of others over the year!! Pioneer will have some dudes who can play for a Chesterton, but the depth and size is what will be hard to overcome, but MAN I love Coach Berry green lighting this game with their AD and saying LETS GO

@NumbersNvrLieNot just a segment, Coach Hart has a 30 minute show each week throughout the season. It is pretty well done. In the years we were in the same sectional I always enjoyed listening to it on Youtube, especially in the week before and after our games with them. If you listen to the list of sponsors they read off at the beginning, you'll understand why the station has the show. It is a loooong list, which illustrates the incredible level of support Coach Hart has in the south Gibson community. As evidenced in DumfriesYMCA's comments in (1) above, the GS folks believe in him, his staff, and the program. It's a position I think a lot of IND HS football coaches might enjoy finding themselves. Plus, GS has had some really good teams in Coach Hart's 8 years. As Titan32 has previously noted, with the exception of 2014, GS has lost to the eventual 3A state champ or runner-up every year - Chatard twice, Memorial 3 times, Brebeuf once, and Heritage Hills last year. Things have seemingly opened up a little bit for GS compared to prior years and they have a heckuva QB, so a lot of eyes are looking to see if Coach Hart can get them to the promised land this year.

Sounds like the authorities in Hancock County want to keep it that way. How many times on the GID have we heard, with reference to the tournament format, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?” Well, if the protocols are working to keep the infection rate low, don’t change anything. And there must have been a testing breakthrough I haven’t heard of: how do you identify people who aren't sick and likely never will be?

No disrespect intended. Didn't realize you were in that sectional. 🤐 Having done the Andrean/Cass Regional, and knowing what they have coming back, that's going to be quite a hill to climb. Good Luck!

East Chicago Central canceled all athletic events for the rest of the month. This includes the first two football games against Hanover Central and Bowman Academy. If they had the same schedule this year as last year it would have included four games against the schools located in Hammond. Those four schools are not playing football this season.

I think GS thumps Columbus North!! Being 6A does not equate to a good football team, and GS is much better than good. AND someone please make GS vs Lburg happen week 2 at the Jewel. Get Ol' Stinky Clown out of Stinky Town. Show him some real southern Indiana hospitality. That match up would be fantastic.

I believe your prayers will be answered my friend, I have a good source that the IHSAA commissioner, IDOE, and the Indiana Governor are working/talking about how important it is for us to have fall sports. They are absolutely sold on the thought that we must push on and do everything we can to have a season. Keep praying and get ready for some football!!

Concur HOWEVER, in these 2 cases, I received a text message from one user and a PM from another, both politely asking for their accounts to be deleted. There was never any sort of back channel discussions about either users and talking about suspensions/bans in any way shape or form.

Yeah some programs just don't build their schedule (particularly now that there is a ton of flexibility) to pretty much guarantee at least 8-2. From previous years I thought you were more of football guy than to make broad sweeping generalizations based on scrimmages. Guessin you get your highlights from 812hoops. Keep pumping for that ranking though....you earned it from last seasons performance, maybe someone here will buy it. Good luck with NP, SS and TC this season!!

Outside of Carmel last year, I don’t think ANY North team in 4A (that’s a given), 5A or 6A survives little ole’ 3A Sectional 28 this past year.
